0.25.0 Update

Hello there,

We've just released a new update for Robot Arena Survivors.



New HCU
  • Implemented a new HCU: MK-07 Shock Bomber.


New abilities
  • Implemented a new ability: Rocket Turrets.
  • Implemented a new ability: Mortar Turrets.
  • Implemented a new ability: Explosive Drones.


Balancing
  • Slight increase of both bonuses and maluses for some of the arena tower event rewards.


Graphics
  • Reworked explosions' VFX.


Bug fixes
  • Fixed an issue where some abilities weren't able to hit the arena props (such as crates), making them unable to help clear the arena from obstacles.
  • Fixed an issue with the smoke VFX not playing as it should.

0.24.1 Patch

Hello there,

We've just released a new patch for Robot Arena Survivors.

We've been monitoring performance issues reported by a few players, especially during long runs in Endless mode. This particular patch has been days of development focused on resolving these issues, making the game far more enjoyable for everyone!

Balancing:
  • The arena tower event reward Elemental Converter now gives +500% damage in a specific damage type, and -100% in all others (was +100%/-25%).
  • Increased the damage given by all damage-related rewards on level-up.
  • The passive health regeneration will now be paused for 2 seconds every time your HCU receives damage, preventing potential abuses and making it less overpowered.
  • Reduced the amount of crates and other objects spawning after every wave by two.
Performance improvements:
  • Improved the pooling of audiosources, making sure less of them are staying active if not in use.
  • Improved the way the VFXs are handled, making sure less of them are staying active if not currently emitting.
  • Reworked the visuals of the experience points to pick-up, they now look kinda cool while using way less polygons for the GPU to render.
  • Refactored all of the code events to dramatically reduce the generated garbage (less memory usage, faster CPU clean-up).
  • Reworked most of the VFXs to reduce their GPU usage, especially by reducing their polygons.
Bugs fixed:
  • Fixed (for good this time) an issue where sometimes, enemy robots could spawn out of the arena walls.

  • Added the possibility to refuse all rewards given by the arena tower event.
  • Rebalanced all arena tower event rewards.


Meta progression
  • Added a button to reset the permanent upgrades.


Balancing
  • Increased the damage output of the MK-03 HCU.
  • Increased the damage output of the MK-05 HCU.
  • Increased the damage output of the Inferno Turrets.
  • Increased the damage output of the Ion Swords.
  • Increased the damage output of the Orbital Strikes.


Bug fixes
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes, the arena tower event reward "Token Gains" wasn't properly giving the tokens to the player.

0.23.1 Patch

Hello there,

We've just released a new patch for Robot Arena Survivors.

Meta progression:
  • You will now earn 2 tokens per minute survived in addition of the previous token sources, regardless of the win/lose of the run.
Balancing:
  • Increased invincibility frame of the player when hit from 0,25s to 0,50s.
  • Reduced the spawn rate of enemy packs in endless.
  • Reduced the speed at which enemies are increasing their HP and damage scaling.
  • Reduced the spawn rate of enemy packs while an elite combat is running.
