As you know, we previously released a short demo for playtesting purposes. We have added various updates to this demo, but we have decided to remove version 1.1 from release on October 17, 2024.

Our reasons are as follows:

-As we mentioned earlier on our forums and Discord channel, the decision to release the demo was made at the last minute. Cutting a small piece from the whole is definitely not recommended, and it brought along various bugs.
-Although the concept remains the same, the isometric map features more functional mechanics, physics, and visuals. However, these elements did not reflect as we intended in the demo.
-The demo did not provide sufficient information about key functions such as simulation, base building, survival elements, and relationships with colonies, which are the focal points of our game.
-Performance issues, including frame rate drops on low-end systems, were experienced.

As a result, version 1.1 served as a playtest for us as well, giving us the opportunity to observe the existing issues.

In the coming process, we will release a new demo featuring mechanics for the full version. In the upcoming weeks, we will share some gameplay trailers and various cinematics to better convey the concept.

💥First and foremost, we want to thank you a thousand times for the thousands of wishlists. The interest you've shown in our game has truly made our team very happy and boosted our motivation. Colonies of the Remnant holds a special place in our hearts. We love the zombie world, and combining it with post-apocalyptic, action-simulation themes seems to have excited not only us but everyone else as well.

After much consideration, we regret to announce that we have decided to retract Colonies of the Remnant launch release date, previously set for November 15th. This was not an easy decision, especially since we understand the anticipation and excitement that many players have for the game. However, we believe that additional development time is needed.

We want our game to run smoothly and efficiently on lower-end systems as well. Additionally, we've taken note of the feedback you've provided via email, our discussion forums, and Discord. We have a ton of new features to add. We'll be announcing the features we've completed or are currently working on.

Since our last check-in, we’ve been working on tons of new features, from unit remodels to new environments and character refinements.

Our goal is to make Colonies of the Remnant the best game it can be and provide a truly exceptional and rewarding experience for players.

We sincerely apologize for this delay and genuinely appreciate your understanding. Your support and passion are vital to us, and we will continue to work intensively to deliver the ultimate zombie-post apocalyptic survival experience. We intend to keep you informed and engaged in the development process by regularly showcasing more Colonies of the Remnant assets in the weeks ahead.

Our new and final release date is June 27, 2025 💭

Demo Weapon

-Fixed the bug of the weapon disappearing when picking up the weapon.
-Fixed the bug of the weapon getting stuck when picking up the weapon.
-Fixed the bug of the weapon getting stuck when changing the magazine with the R key.

-Isometric Map added [Level 2].
-Daily added.
-Pressing the letter V would switch to FPS mode. Removed for now [Will be available in the full version].
-Fixed the crash issue that occurred when switching to Level 2.
-Rain effect removed in the demo version [Working on it, will return to the demo].
-Some bugs fixed.

It is with great pleasure we can announce the Colonies of the Remnant demo is now available to play throughout STEAM'S NEXT FEST!

The demo only contains a taste of what's to come; there are many more details we are still working on before they are ready for all to see. But for now, please enjoy playing the demo & be sure to let us know your thoughts - your feedback is essential to helping us shape this game to be the best it can be.

This demo is a limited-time experience, offering 10-20 minutes of gameplay. Full access to all features will be available in the complete game. The development process is still ongoing.
The main objective of this demo is for the players to learn the basic mechanics of the game, begin collecting information to discover how the virus started. The Demo version will just be a limited part of the game, which is still under heavy development.

This is the first version available to the public. You can download it for free on Steam!

WHAT DOES THE DEMO VERSION INCLUDE?

The demo provides a glimpse of our game style and basic gameplay. Demo covers only 1% of the full version. Playable for 10-20 minutes. Maps are closed or have limited features. Simulation features are not included in the content.
