BoneTown Gets Mod Support with Steam Workshop

Get ready to Mod your fantasies, because the BoneTown Workshop is here. Now users can alter the game how they want, and then share their changes with the rest of the community.

Want to try out the new Mods? All you need to do to get Mods is head to the BoneTown: The Second Coming Edition Community page and follow the Workshop link, or just click here, to find the epicenter for all the Mods.

Want to make a Mod? We have created a new sub-forum on the Discussion page called Workshop. Go there and read the post titled "How to Make an Art File Mod with Steam Workshop." In that post we run you through the complete process of creating a new Mod.

We can't wait to see the kind of stuff that our fans make for the game.

BoneTown Workshop coming soon.

Next week will see the release of the BoneTown Workshop, and the beginning of user-generated content in BoneTown: The Second Coming Edition.

What sort of user generated-content? Well, to start off with, we are opening up every texture file (.jpg, .png, and .tif) and all of our audio files (.ogg, and .wav) to being changed. This means new character skins, clothing, facial hair, pubic hair, tattoos, and lingerie. It also means new weapons, GUI, drugs, voices, music--and probably a lot of other things, once we get this Workshop into our fans' sweaty hands.

On release day, we'll have two mods ready to go, one that will remove all the tattoos from the girls, and another that will remove all of the pubic hair from the girls.

And this is only the beginning of BoneTown Workshop. We plan on working with the community to add more features and allow the modding of even more within the game. The debauchery of BoneTown continues, this time with the players pushing it forward. We'll see you next week.

Don't Lose Outfits, Music Changer and Smarter AI

BALANCE CHANGES:

We know people are going to like this one. We've heard a lot about accidentally losing your outfit when you're just trying to pick up a weapon. Well, no longer. Now, when you steal someone's outfit, your old outfit goes onto the knocked out person, so you can steal it right back if you didn't mean to make the switch.

Someone on the forums suggested being able to change the music, and we thought it was a good idea. So, now on the minimap and in the world, you can find a musical note. When you go to the musical note, you can change the music playing in the world around you.

The final change in this update involves the AI continually running straight into walls, furniture, or anything else in the world. This will happen less. We have added some extra intelligence to the AI so they know feel the way we do, that running into a wall forever like an idiot really ruins the immersive experience.

We hope this helps you guys enjoy the game more, and we have some big things on the horizon to announce. So keep an ear out for more BoneTown news.

Episode One is Here!

Episode One is here! To celebrate, BoneTown is back on sale!

If you already have the game, what do you need to do to get it? Nothing. It might already be downloaded--just check your download page and see. If it's not, try restarting Steam and that should get it.

Once you have it, you'll need to find the new content. Below is a description of where you can start all the new stuff:
Episode One: MiniDog and WeeWee
This mission can be started in two places. The first is in the Havajo Indian Reservation, right outside the Casino. The second place you can start this mission is in Downtown, right outside the movie theater, and right across the street from the La Migra Headquarters.
Amish Crackhead and the new Crackpipe
This can be found in Downtown, right down the street from the movie theater where Episode One can be started. If you go from the movie theater towards Golden Rod Gym (where all the rockers are), you will pass the Catholic Church. Halfway between the Catholic Church and Golden Rod Gym, the Amish Crackhead and his woman can be found hanging out on the sidewalk. They are on the opposite side of the street from the Church and Gym.
Angelica the Angel
This is started in Downtown by jumping on top of the Catholic Church behind the movie theater. Jump onto the crest of the two-sided pitched roof. Then walk to the very edge of this roof, so you're looking out over the water. There should appear a text box telling you to jump to the cloud to start the mission. From there, you jump to the closest cloud you can see, hovering over the street in front of you

We hope you guys enjoy the new content and we hope to have more new stuff for you soon.
