UPDATE 10 [OPEN BETA] HOTFIX #2

  • The poly table was not visible
  • Sleep UI is maintained in some clients
  • The number of people sleeping in some clients was not exact

UPDATE 10 [OPEN BETA] PATCH #1

  • If you were traveling without money, the loading was shown infinitely.
  • With 3-4 players on the map, some of them died when loading the map.
  • When you travel between map and shelter it would show black and not finish loading (It may not be resolved)
  • You could hear the crossing out of papers from anywhere on the map.
  • The stickers on the floor in daycare were superimposed on the nightmarish fence.
  • Doll who looked very dark the characters, almost imperceptible, it has also been focused more so that the zoom does not lose any character.
  • A small pop-up has been added in which it checks if you have already played and if you have lost the data (so you can download and apply a save)
  • The sounds of the bed could not be heard

UPDATE #10 [MULTIPLAYER UPDATE]

Hello everyone! Thank you for keeping up with *Doll Impostor*! It's finally here! At last, we have *Doll Impostor* in multiplayer!

The official version will be available on November 30th, but for those who want to try the multiplayer mode now, you can use the beta "beta - beta" in Steam's beta options. It's important to share your feedback as soon as possible to help us fix any potential issues!

I remind you that the development has been documented every day on Patreon!

Currently, there are a few known bugs. They're minor but worth keeping in mind.

This update took about a full month of development, so it may have various errors. Major bugs have already been addressed in the closed beta, but please be aware of this.

Additionally, in the upcoming updates before the release date, I plan to develop Chat, Voice Chat, and an improved scare system, which will focus solely on scaring individual players rather than globally.

Multiplayer!


Every time you visit your refuge, it will be open for your friends to join and/or for you to invite them. The refuge will act as the online lobby. Only the host can select a game, and your friends will also be able to see all your dolls, trophies, and the customization of your refuge and caravan!

Currently, two modes are unavailable in Multiplayer mode:

  • Time Trial
  • Endless


However, I plan to expand the Time Trial mode and possibly create an exclusive multiplayer Endless mode.

The Career mode is also available; now you can open and solve cases together.

Doll Who


I've created a small board game in the new refuge room. Now you can play *Doll Who*, a classic game where you guess who someone is thinking about!

Safezone


I've extended the refuge to include the Doll Hallway and the new room that contains *Doll Who*. I've also added a Doll Busters sticker, thanks to a user who recommended it during a stream!


To get this sticker, you need to unlock the Halloween achievement (you can obtain it by setting your system clock to a Halloween period: October 28th to November 4th).

  • The size of saved games has been significantly reduced and photos are no longer stored but dynamically generated.

  • Show names is now in settings and not on the dashboard (it is expected to change also in future updates to show scares in settings)


Fixes
  • Candles were consumed in career mode (Now are infinite)
  • In the tutorial you could die if you didn't close the door (Not now)
  • The icons of the circus fusebox papers were not visible.
  • The engine in daycare was not visible
  • Boxes would not open on normal difficulty.
  • The lights in the house stayed on even when they were off.
  • Street lamp in the circus was floating.
  • Some red Halloween lights remained when it was no longer active.
  • The circus has been slightly optimized.
  • Changed the text from race mode to time trial mode
  • The message that you have unlocked career mode would appear every time you unlocked a level from higher to nightmare.
  • A box was missing in daycare (on the boards)
  • When you hit extras I lost focus gamepad controller (There is still a lot to solve here)
  • In the tutorial the imposter could cross out everything if you left the door open.
  • Settings scrolling did not go down correctly with gamepad
  • The gamepad pause button was not working
  • Match options were visible in career mode (buttons only, no text)
  • The nursery house required energy and at the same time it was lit
  • On some computers the texture of the daycare windows was visible.


Removes
  • Career mode timer when using soul book (It made no sense to be able to spend many hours, days, weeks with a case and only have 3 minutes to discover the impostor)
  • The name of the dolls in place has been removed, they are now part of the cursor texts.

Thank you so much to everyone who has joined us in this festival of fear! Many of you who have just arrived might be wondering what’s next in Doll Impostor.

I'm actively working on the cooperative mode, which is currently 98% complete, and I'll very likely have it at 100% today.

Once the cooperative mode is ready, I’ll work on a series of current and past fixes, and testing will begin.

If everything goes smoothly, we could see a closed beta this week, and if there aren’t too many issues, the open beta could launch next week or the following week for everyone who wants to try it out! This open beta could be available for about 15 days.
