Undermere Herald - June Edition | Performance Review & Gamescom News
Dear Thaumaturges,
[p]We’d like to congratulate you on your great performance during your trial period. You’ve shown curiosity and thick skin, the qualities needed to run a shop like Strange Antiquities. [/p][p]Maybe we’ll call you up to run the shop shortly… [/p][p]We realised that we haven’t taken the time to thank you all for taking the demo for a spin! We were overwhelmed by your positive reception (242 reviews on the demo and 96% of them are positive!!!!). We’ve been spending the past few weeks going through your reviews & comments. Some of them made us chuckle, some of them touched us and a lot of them held very crucial feedback that we’ll be mulling over & implementing! [/p][p]So once again, thank you for playing, reviewing, sharing the game with your friends, and sharing your wildest theories. And, finally, thank you to press and influencers for the coverage! We’ll get back to working on the final game (and a little surprise that we’ll keep to ourselves for a little bit longer). [/p][p]But before we leave you, we have…[/p][p] [/p]
One More Thing
[p]You might’ve already seen it on our socials but: We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be at Gamescom 2025, as part of the Indie Arena Booth! [/p][p]From August 20th to August 24th, you can check out our booth in Cologne and come chat with our friends at Iceberg Interactive about all things Strange. We will be pretty busy during the event but we'll try and be at the booth to meet people when we can. We’ll be sharing the exact details as we get closer to the convention. We’d love to put some faces behind your names.

And who knows, maybe we’ll bring a goodie or two…

See you in Cologne (or Undermere),

The Strange Antiquities Demo Releases June 5th!
Dear Thaumaturges,
You might’ve already heard it through the grapevine, but if not: Your trial period at Strange Antiquities is about to begin.
The first-ever Strange Antiquities demo is out on June 5th, 2025.
Nervous? We partnered up with our puzzle pals at Thinky Games and Draknek & Friends to unveil a first look at your day-to-day duties:

[Trailer][/previewyoutube]

You’ve been chosen for a reason. You show promise – a sharp mind and a strong stomach – exactly what this work demands. It's time to put your skills to the test. During these first two days, you will welcome new customers into the cosy, candle-lit interior of the shop. You’ll examine and catalogue occult curios, explore and discover our sleepy town, and help locals with their plights. Their needs are unpredictable and often alarming, but never dull!

There’s lots to do, so you’d better get started as soon as you can. But remember: some curiosities are best left untouched, and some visitors are not what they seem. Don’t let the rising dread overwhelm you.

We look forward to your trial period,
John & Rob
