Starting Thursday, 9/18/2025, we are introducing the new Vanguard Swap Character
Sei Shonagon!

The Vanguard Swap Character
Sei Shonagon can be unlocked by using the item Summoner's Scroll - Sei Shonagon.
She will follow you and fight alongside you, and by performing a
Vanguard Swap, you can take control of Sei Shonagon.
She is an axe-wielding character who battles by skillfully using her unique buff skill Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter.

[h3]About the Buff Skill Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter[/h3]
While Sei Shonagon’s primary attribute is
Poison, she can
add four different attributes through her four buff skills
Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter.
Skill Spring Dawn adds
Wind attribute at 25% of skill power,
Skill Summer Night adds
Thunder attribute at 25% of skill power,
Skill Autumn Dusk adds
Water attribute at 25% of skill power,
Skill Winter Daybreak adds
Holy attribute at 25% of skill power.
Additionally, each one
multiplies damage by 1.25.
Up to four buff effects can be active at the same time.
The effect duration is 30 seconds when in Vanguard Swap, and 20 seconds when accompanying.----------------------------------------------------------------
■ About Attribute AdditionWhen under the buff effect of Spring Dawn,
Wind attribute is added at a value equal to 25% of the used skill’s power.

■ About Damage MultiplicationSpring, Summer, Autumn, Winter increases
damage by 1.25x per buff effect, and when all buffs are active,
damage is doubled.
During this, the damage cap is ignored.
*When applied to player characters, damage multiplication does not apply to monsters with the Covenant trait.

■ Other EffectsAdditionally, the buffs from Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter have the following effects:
・Corresponding Attribute +50
・Reduce the cooldown of the [Ougi Thorn Season Distant Yet Near] by 10 seconds
・Attack -10%
・Inflicts Poison status that deals 100 damage per second
・Inflict Poison status for 20 seconds, dealing 150 damage per secondSei Shonagon constantly activates the buff Toxic Reversal, which converts poison damage into healing, allowing her to recover from poison damage.

■ Applying Buffs to OthersSpring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, when activated, forcibly grants the buff to party members. Along with the buffs, the drawbacks of Poison status and Attack -10% are also applied, up to all four at once.
Depending on the monster, the drawback may reduce the damage dealt.
Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter is a powerful buff, but be mindful that it also forcibly applies drawbacks!Additionally, even when accompanying you, Sei Shonagon may apply the Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter buff to player characters.
*Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter is only applied to player characters in the party and is not applied to Vanguard Characters or Battle Mounts.
*The poison damage from Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter will not reduce HP to 0; a minimum of 1 HP will be maintained.

Sei Shonagon can freely set both regular skills and ougi skills in all of her skill slots.
The regular skills consist of the four buff skills from Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, while her other attack skills are classified as ougi skills.

※Some skills may require an increase in Partner Level and Awakening to be used.
■Ougi Thorn Season Six String SlamLeap into the air and slam your guitar straight down.
■Ougi Thorn Season Spiral SoundwaveStrum your guitar with all your might and fire sound bullets.
■Ougi Thorn Season Distant Yet NearSuddenly appearing alongside Murasaki Shikibu, perform a coordinated combo attack to strike enemies around you.
After the combo ends, bees will follow you for 10 seconds and automatically attack enemies. Each bee hit restores SP.
※Using Vanguard switch will also trigger a cooldown timer for this skill.
