Summary of the Release and Future Plans

Hi everyone!

It’s been two weeks since Bright Lord launched in Early Access on Steam, so it’s a good time to share a quick summary of the project and a few words about our plans and upcoming updates.

I hope you’re enjoying the game’s concept and story so far! We've noticed that the main criticisms focus on the animations and the length of the erotic scenes, so we’re committed to improving these in the future. We also want to give players more influence over the story, making decisions feel more impactful in upcoming updates. On a personal note, I’m really happy with the level of interest in the game, and we’ll do our best to keep it that way while making updates even better.

That said, we’re not slowing down and are already hard at work on the next update. The scripts are ready, all reported bugs have been fixed, and we’re currently working on new renders and animations. I’d say we’re about 25-30% through the next update, so everything is progressing as planned.

Now, for the news you’ve probably been waiting for: the new update will be released on December 17 2024 just a few days before the holidays—less than a month away! It won’t be a very long update, but we prefer smaller, quicker updates rather than bigger ones every six months.

Bug fix release

Bug Fixes:
* Hard crash when trying to Replay a special scene has been fixed.
* A hard crash when playing in French has been fixed.
* Three hard crashes when playing in (Simplified & Traditional) Chinese have been fixed.
* Lateral movement in Gallery has been fixed.
* Off screen collectible icon in EP03 has been re-positioned to be on screen now.

Features:
* The save screen page limit has been removed based on community feedback.

Optimization:
* Unused old data has been removed from the game, reducing the total game size.

Known Issues:
* Some animations in special scenes are not running. It will be fixed in a future update.

Fixes for two crahses and achievement.

* UnboundLocalError: local variable 'keyboard_mode' referenced before assignment
* Exception: Say has image attributes ('o',), but there's no image tag associated with the speaking character.

If you experienced any of these two errors, please try again.

For a subset of players who were not able to unlock the Finger-Lickin' achievement, please replay the scene from the gallery menu.

Bright Lord is live!

I'm excited to announce that the official version of Bright Lord is now available and ready for you to play! We put a lot of hard work into getting it to this point, and we truly hope you’ll enjoy it and that it meets your expectations.



The game is still in Early Access, but we’ll be releasing updates every 1-2 months, with the full version planned for release in the second half of next year.

For now, I’ll keep it brief and just invite you to check out the game! After you play, please leave your feedback here and write a review—even if there are things you didn’t like. This will help us improve and refine the game.



Bright Lord will be available on November 8!

As I mentioned before, we decided to take the "Bright Lord" game under our wing and enhance it while preserving the story and design created by KissKiss Studio. I’m thrilled to announce that we’ve successfully done it!



On November 8, you’ll be able to get the revamped "Bright Lord" and experience the game in a fresh, updated look. We know many of you have already tried the early access version, so we aimed to keep its core the same while improving its presentation. Here’s what we added:

  • A completely new interface
  • Enhanced renders and animations in the first three episodes (nearly 1,000 new renders)
  • Improved scripts — the whole game has been proofread
  • Translation into six more languages: Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, French, and Turkish
  • New wallpapers, bonus renders, and a full DLC pack with over 500 new, exciting shots of each character
  • Updated sound with new music and SFX
  • Tons of achievements and collectibles to unlock as you play


There are probably even more new features we’ve added that I haven’t listed here. Aside from the updated renders in the first three episodes, the story and renders remain the same, but everything else has been reworked. We can’t wait to release this for you and hear your feedback!
