Battle Pass Classic 2: Synthwave Reloaded also features:

  • A purchasable pass to the Gold Track with exclusive rewards like the Arcade Nights Progression Podium.
  • Players that bought the Gold Pass during the original run of Battle Pass Season 2 do not need to purchase it again.
  • All players are granted access to the Free Track and all the Weekly Missions!
  • A UI takeover featuring Retro Reaper Nix.
  • For all completionists, a new Avatar & Title Reward awaits you if you make it through all 85 tiers and complete all the missions!
  • Players who completed the original season will also receive unique Title rewards.

This update contains quality-of-life improvements for several underused Signatures on the least played Legends. This includes Vector's new Down Rocket Lance Signature which has graduated from Test Features.

Ezio

We have reduced the Recover time on Ezio's Side Orb as its overall risk and total commitment proved to be too long for its threat coverage compared to other Legends.

  • Ezio Side Orb: Decreased total Recovery time from 25 to 23.

Reno

Reno's Neutral Orb now has less Recover time on miss for less risk given its role as an anti-air attack.

  • Reno Neutral Orb: Decreased total Recover time on miss from 21 to 19.
Sentinel

Sentinel's Side Katars has received a significant increase to its visual size and threat coverage. This straight-forward Signature now has a total threat map that is closer in line with similar attacks on other Legends.

  • Sentinel Side Katars: Increased threat coverage; Increased size of visual FX.
Thor

Thor's Side Orb often felt too stiff in the flow of a match, so we have increased the allowed momentum for more fluid use from general movement, dashes, and chase dodges.

  • Thor Side Orb: Slightly increased the maximum momentum allowed during the startup and first swing.

Vector

Vector's Experimental Down Rocket Lance has graduated from Test Features! Vector now hops back and transforms into his jet form, then fires two sets of projectiles. This allows for faster coverage of the area in front of Vector that the Side Rocket Lance cannot threaten, and provides an option that does not completely surrender positioning.

  • Vector Down Rocket Lance: Vector now hops back and transforms into his jet form, then fires two sets of projectiles.

Yumiko

Yumiko's Neutral Bow now has less Recover time to better fit its role as an anti-air attack, and to match its comparatively low priority.

  • Yumiko Neutral Bow: Decreased total Recovery time from 19 to 16.

The platforms for Bombsketball have been redesigned, including all-new art, animations when someone scores a goal, and timers for when a new bomb will spawn. The goals also have backboards, so you can try for a layup and other new strategies. Check it out in Custom Online lobbies or Offline Play.

Now, you can change your Color Scheme while training in Training mode just as easily as changing a Legend or Skin!

  • In the “Settings” menu, we added a new row for changing your Color Scheme.
  • Depending on the Map chosen or the base colors of a Skin, if a Color Scheme conflicts with these items, an asterisk will be denoted next to the Color name.
  • This will help you understand the different Color exclusions within Brawlhalla!

We’ve introduced the new Ledge Cancel improvement Test Feature. Ledge Cancel Dashes will always be a forward dash, and it should be easier to diagonal dodge near a soft platform instead of accidentally Ledge Canceling.

  • Ledge Cancel Dash always gives forward dash even when changing direction.
  • Ledge Cancel Dashes are slightly easier to perform, and are harder to do accidentally.
Please share all of your feedback with us on our socials like Twitter and Discord! For more information, visit brawlhalla.com/test-features.

This patch is also graduating 2 previous Test Features into all queues!

  • Vector's Down Rocket Lance Signature Re-work: Vector now hops back and transforms into his jet form, then fires two sets of projectiles. This attack can be charged or slide charged for greater damage.
  • Disarm FX: A visual effect that shows when a Legend has been disarmed by an opponent. The effect appears as bright colored sparks that fly off the Legend. These FX are distinct from other collision visual FX.

Compete in stellar Rayman formation in a retrowave neon landscape! In Kung Foot anything goes as you kick, bash, and slash the ball through the opposing team’s goal in this 2v2 digital sports scene. First team to score 5 goals wins!

  • 2v2
  • 5 goals
  • 100% Damage
  • 5 Minute Timer

Art & Animation

  • Tweaked the Boomerang Gadget spin animation to make it more noticeable.
  • Visual adjustments for Aang’s Neutral Gauntlet FX.
User Interface

  • The font and layout of the HUD has been updated.
  • Optimized the Battle Pass Season 2 logo and splash art to improve its UI performance.
Localization

  • Thea's base Battle Boots in English now have the correct name "PegaSwift Racers."
  • All localized terms that were added in 7.06 now have updated translations. These include terms for Thea, Volleybrawl, and Ranked Season 28.
  • Ember’s Synthwave Battle Pass Skin now has the correct name “Modular Rift Ember.”

Art & Animation

  • Fixed a visual bug where The Rock’s torso was not appearing.
  • Fixed a bug where the Legend portrait was off by a few pixels in the HUD of Street Brawl.
Gameplay

  • Fixed a bug where the Walker Attack Game Mode would end immediately at game start. (Credit:FieryTooth)
  • Fixed a bug where the Boomerang gadget’s homing would reset after it hits a proximity mine. Now, it will properly be blasted away by the explosion.
  • Fixed a bug with Boomerangs where it would remain in a spinning animation after hitting the floor.
  • Fixed a bug where Battle Boots’ Down Air damage did not trap enemies in a bubble in the Bubble Tag Game Mode.
User Interface

  • Pinned Events in the tournament screen now display "Coming Soon!"
  • Fixed a bug where Battle Pass rewards were not centered properly.
  • Fixed a visual bug where the Title Reward text would appear over the UI screens in the Battle Pass rewards menu.

Season 28 – Rewards and Soft Elo Reset

At the beginning of every season, there is a soft Elo reset, your placement matches are reset, and you receive Glory – the currency you earn by playing Ranked.

We hope you enjoy the new season!

Soft Elo Reset Formula

Soft Elo Reset is based on your current Elo at the end of the season.

1v1 and 2v2 Personal Rating

  • Under 1400: New Elo = Old Elo
  • Over 1400: New Elo = 1400 + (Old Elo – 1400) / (3 – (3000 – Old Elo) / 800)
  • 2v2 Team and Legend Rating
2v2 Team & Legend Ratings have been brought closer to 750.

  • Under 2000: Elo = (Elo + 375) / 1.5
  • Over 2000, we aggressively brought you back down as a way of resetting the top tiers.
Glory Earnings Calculation

Glory earned is based on a combination of your Highest Peak Rating (highest 1v1, 2v2, team, or Legend rating/Elo) and total Wins. This was designed in order to reward both skill and dedication for those who pursue Glory.

You gain 20 Glory per win up to 150 wins, which gets you 3000 Glory. After 150 wins, each subsequent win gives you slightly less.

Note: There is a minimum requirement of 10 games played to be eligible for Glory based on your rating. For help estimating your Glory Gained or New Elo after the reset go to: brawlhalla.com/glory-calculator/

Placement Matches

Players beginning their Ranked climb have 10 placement matches to better determine their skill level and starting Elo.

  • Each season, for Ranked 1v1 and Ranked 2v2, your first 10 matches will serve as placement matches that will have a greater effect on your rating than normal games. Your rating will be hidden until after you have completed your placement matches for that queue.
Valhallan Rank

Valhallan Rank will open on April 26th. To become Valhallan, players must be Ranked in Diamond, have at least 100 wins during the Ranked season, and attain a rating among the top players in their region.

Each region has a limited number of Valhallan positions:

  • US-E / EU – Top 150
  • SA – Top 100
  • SEA / US-W – Top 50
  • AUS / JPN – Top 25
  • SAF – Top 10
  • ME – Top 10
These numbers are based on each region’s population and will be considered for adjustment on a seasonal basis.

Unique Valhallan Rewards

After ranking up, players will immediately receive the Valhallan Avatar, Loading Frame, and Season Title Reward.

Valhallan Loading Frame:

  • Unlike other Ranked Loading Frames, the Valhallan Loading Frame can only be used while the player is currently in the Valhallan rank. Players are granted it immediately upon achieving Valhallan, and if they are pushed out of Valhallan rank, the Loading Frame will be revoked when the daily reset occurs (9am UTC/5am EDT/2am PDT).
Valhallan Title Reward:

  • Players are awarded a Title immediately upon achieving Valhallan. Each season will have a unique Valhallan Title Reward. The Title is never revoked, regardless of rank.
Valhallan Avatar:

  • Instead of an Avatar that upgrades at the end of each season, the Valhallan Avatar is awarded immediately upon achieving Valhallan.
  • The Valhallan Avatar has two states: active and inactive. The active Avatar is rewarded immediately upon achieving the Valhallan rank but can be downgraded to the inactive “Fallen” state if players fall out of Valhallan rank when the daily reset occurs.
  • To reactivate the Avatar, players need to reach the Valhallan rank again. Players will retain ownership of the Avatar between seasons, but it will be in the “Fallen” state at the start of every season.
Ranked Borders from Season 27

If you placed Gold, Platinum, or Diamond at any point in the season, you are given a Ranked border based on your highest rank that other players can see in the match preview screen. These will last for one season and will be updated again after the new season comes to a close.

Your border from any previous season does not carry over or have any impact on your current border reward.

Ranked Avatars from Season 27

Ranked Avatars include prestigious versions for those who’ve placed in high ranks during previous seasons. For example, if you placed in Platinum last season and Gold this season, you’ll receive the upgraded versions of the Competitor’s Badge and Gold Emblem. You will still have your original Platinum Emblem Avatar from previous seasons.

You must play a minimum of 10 games to receive Ranked Avatars / Borders at ANY rank.

  • Competitor’s Badge: Awarded to anyone who plays 10 Ranked Games or more.
  • Gold Emblem: Awarded to players who finish at Gold or above.
  • Platinum Emblem: Awarded to players who finish at Platinum or above.
  • Diamond Emblem: Awarded to players who finish at Diamond.
  • Upgraded versions of Ranked Avatars are awarded to those who have earned the same Avatar in any previous season.
For players who have reached the 5th Tier of an Avatar by reaching a certain rank or higher for five total seasons: the 5th Tier of that Avatar will stay in your inventory permanently! Congratulations on your achievements!

The 6th Tier Avatar, for those who have reached a certain rank or higher for six total seasons, will take on a brand new look! These Avatars will grow more and more prestigious with each subsequent seasonal repeat up to Tier 10, at which point the Tier 10 Avatar will remain in your inventory permanently.

In short, every 5 Tiers of Avatars, you’ll keep the most awesome, most decked out version permanently, and then start work on a new version for subsequent tiers for 6-10, 11-15, and so on.

Players can continue to earn Glory mid-season and earn exclusive Title Rewards. With every new season, the Seasonal Ranked Queue’s Elo will do a full reset.

New Ranked Game Mode – 2v2 Bubble Tag

Strike your opponents to capture them in Bubbles. Bubbled players can't attack and have limited movement, but you can save the day by tagging your teammates to free them. Capture the entire enemy team to score a point. The first team to 5 points wins!

Exclusive Ranked Rewards – Skyforged & Goldforged!

Beyond glory there is immortality! In Mallhalla, in the “Ranked” tab, players can spend their hard-earned Glory to purchase Skyforged Colors, Weapons, UI Theme, Emotes, and Sidekicks. Skyforged Colors are only usable on Legends that have reached level 5 or greater.

Players can also purchase Goldforged items, which require the purchase of the Skyforged version of the same item. Show your strength with these exclusive Ranked items!

SPIKE! Get ready for a high stakes 1v1 game of Volleybrawl! Hit the ball to change it to your color. Deal damage to your opponent by getting the ball to touch the floor on their side while it's your color. Deplete their HP to score a point. Be careful: if the ball is still for too long or is hit four times without changing sides it'll reset. First to three points wins!

  • New Volleybrawl Game Mode
  • 1v1
  • Deplete your opponent’s HP by changing the ball to your team color to score a point.
  • First to 3 points wins!

  • Thea – “The Speedster”
  • Weapons: Battle Boots, Rocket Lance
  • Stats: 4 Strength, 6 Dexterity, 3 Defense, 9 Speed
  • “Once Thea began winning in the Grand Tournament, a new world of possibility opened to her – endorsements. She single-handedly invented sports marketing in Asgard, and watched in delight as her Eternal Sports empire grew... At this point she's so rich she could probably just buy the Hermes' Helmet back from Odin, but she's staying around to win it back instead. She doesn't miss her life with the other Olympians. This crowd is so much livelier...and weirder.”
Thea sprints in with 3 new Skins:

  • Gorgon Thea – “Hope you brought a shield!” Bonus: Snakes react along with Thea.
  • Gridrunner Thea – “The goggles keep the bugs out.”
  • Mach 25 Thea – “If you're not first... well obviously you're not first if you're racing me!”

Patch 7.06 brought with it several new experimental features! We introduced a new Gadget into the world of Brawlhalla – the Boomerang! This nimble Gadget hits anyone in its way when thrown, and while homing back to its thrower. We’re also testing a new short-hop accessibility feature that aims to reduce the barrier-of-entry to the advanced “fastfall” mechanic. See below for full details!

New Gadget: Boomerang

  • Available to try with Test Features on, in the Experimental queue, or practice with it in Training mode.
  • This Gadget flies in a large arc when thrown, homes back to its thrower, and hits anyone in its way.
  • The first gadget to travel through opponents!

Short-hop Accessibility

  • Designed to reduce the barrier-of-entry to an advanced (but often essential) game mechanic.
  • It allows you to more easily be able to fastfall after a jump by allowing the 'Down' input to be held any time after the jump. When the minimum height threshold for fastfall is reached after jumping, you will begin fastfalling at a near-optimal time without having to wait for the minimum height threshold before pressing 'Down'.
  • More optimal timing can still be achieved by short-hopping the old fashioned way – by waiting for the minimum height threshold before pressing 'Down'.

Disarmed Visual Effects Revisions

  • Based on player feedback & internal review, we’ve updated the colors on the Disarmed Visual Effects to be more distinct from other collision FX.
Please share all of your feedback with us on our socials like Twitter and Discord! For more information, visit brawlhalla.com/test-features.

Thea also brings new swag into Mallhalla:

  • Eternal Pottery Avatar – “Legend says that the Olympian gods were ahead of the game.”
  • Thea BRB Emoji Skin – “Olympus is calling, be right back!”
For those who missed Thea’s Eternal Sports Avatar giveaway last patch, it is now available to purchase in Mallhalla!

We’ve added new experimental features! As revealed across our social media in the past weeks, we’re adding a new Gadget into the world of Brawlhalla – the Boomerang!

The Gadget Bounce Sound FX Test Feature that was introduced for Patch 7.05 has now graduated into all queues:

  • There is now a sound for when a Gadget is thrown and hits the ground. Each Gadget has its own unique sound that changes based on its velocity. The Sidekick Summoner Horn makes a special sound if you throw it just right!

Art & Animation

  • Brawlhaven and Small Brawlhaven now have animated backgrounds! Take a second to admire the grassy fields and cascading waterfall as you brawl.
  • Performance improvements for Fait, Isaiah, & Sidra – these improve game performance but do not affect gameplay.

User Experience

  • Players will now receive a fanfare at login every time they earn new Account XP Titles (I.E. Legend I) and Birthday Titles (I.E. Veteran of Asgard I).
Map Definitions

  • Fixed a long-standing issue where the offscreen bubble would display for 1 frame at the start of a match.
Gameplay

  • Adjusted the Battle Boots Down Light active input animation so that the user is crouched lower and longer, making it easier to tell when the attack is over.
  • Updated the Charged OG and Pact of Poison Color scheme exclusions.

User Interface

  • Fixed a bug where a "Legend II" or higher Title temporarily reverted to the previous "Legend" Title after a client reset.
  • Fixed bugs in Custom Online & Couch Party lobbies where toggling “Teams” to “On” after having selected a Legend for one or more bots would not update their Color Scheme.
  • Fixed a bug where clan names are displayed as "" for bots in Offline Games. Bots will now not display noa clan name. at all.
User Experience

  • Fixed a rare desync that could occur if a player got KO'd right before sudden death started on a Map that has moving platforms, particularly in the Temple Climb Game Mode.
  • Fixed a bug where bots would still use the default Sidekick in Offline Games even if the player had chosen a Sidekick for them.
Art & Animation

  • Fixed an animation issue with Battle Boots aerial turnaround animation where large torsos would be misaligned.
