This brand new update brings the newest cosmetic items to Mallhalla, including for the first time ever new Emoji Skins! These are alternate Skins for Emojis that feature different Legends. Also check out the new Skin for Munin, a new Sidekick, Emote, and Avatars in Mallhalla! The most recent Legend, Arcadia, also has her price reduced to 5400 Gold.

We also added a few new Test Features, like reducing Wall Slips, adjustments to Dodge Cooldowns, and more. Additionally, players can preview a new Tournament Map set in the Experimental queue. The Directional Gravity Cancel window reduction has graduated from Test Features and is now in all queues!

Lastly, we’re featuring 1v1 Showdown as the Brawl of the Week, made a few game improvements, and updated the free-to-play Legend rotation.

The Experimental Queue's map set has been updated as a preview of the new Tournament map set that will go live after the Mid-Season Championship. This proposed map set is also available in Custom Lobbies for Stock game modes, labeled as TournamentEXP in the Game Rules settings. We are aiming for a single map set for 1v1 and 2v2 tournaments, so be sure to give both modes a try in Custom Lobbies.

The reduced input window for Directional Gravity Cancels from 5 ticks to 3 ticks has been graduated into all queues! Players found that this new value resulted in far fewer unintentional Gravity Cancels while recovering back to stage.

• The window for initiating a Gravity Cancel from a directional dodge is now 3 frames.
  
• This graduated feature will help players reduce unintended instances of Directional Gravity Cancels, while helping new players learn the timing of performing a Gravity Cancel.

We’ve added condensed Weapon Spawn locations, adjusted Dodge Cooldowns, and reduced Wall Slip to Test Features. We have condensed the locations of weapon spawns on maps in the Experimental Queue, bringing them lower to the ground and closer to center stage. This is intended to make stage control more valuable during a game, with fewer weapon spawns being in reach near walls or far above stage.

• Condensed item spawns to be closer to the center of the map and platforms.

Many Signatures can use their significant animation time to stall off-stage for too long with a Gravity Cancel, so we are testing a feature that aims to level the playing field for most Signatures.

• When performing a Gravity Cancel, the dodge cooldown now begins after the attack has finished, rather than after the canceled dodge was expected to finish.
  
• We have changed the way Chase Dodge Forgiveness works in the background to allow for future testing, but for now it should feel identical to the current iteration. Look forward to further updates in the next patch.

To further increase the power of stage control, we are testing a stricter version of the Wall Slip mechanic. Wall Slip will now trigger when a maximum of 9 jumps and/or Recovery attacks are performed without hitting or being hit by another player, instead of the normal value of 15. This maximum value is constant and does not change based on the number of times Wall Slip warnings have been triggered.

• Reducing available air actions (jumps and Recovery attacks) from 15 to 9 before Wall Slip triggers.

• Players can now select Skins in the Training mode in-game menu.

User Interface

• The Scoreboard screen now shows when players have left the Lobby. A player's Avatar, Name, Title Reward, and Clan will darken after they leave. In Custom Lobbies, it only darkens if they fully back out of the Lobby (not just exiting the Scoreboard screen).
  
• Hugin Skins now display the Legend name as Hugin instead of Munin.

The free-to-play Legend rotation for this week includes: Val, Reno, Caspian, Scarlet, Mirage, Magyar, Lord Vraxx, Kaya, and Xull.

• Val – An android assassin with terrifying strength and quicker-than-light cognition, Val is a force to be reckoned with when utilizing her Sword and Gauntlets.
  
• Reno – Four arms, compound eyes, fearlessness, and an added dose of genius make this Chitnoid Gunslinger the greatest bounty hunter this side of the Pecosid asteroid belt. He’ll take on any job with his trusty Blasters, and loyal Orb companion.

Play Ranked 1v1 Switchcraft in the Seasonal Ranked Queue!

Create a beautiful alliance, or an Eldritch horror by combining 3 Legends into one. Watch their weapons and Signatures get all jumbled up in this crazy 1v1 Stock battle. Face your opponent with their own unique combination. First to knock out all 3 of the other’s Stocks, wins!





Join the final battle as Battle Pass Season 5 enters its final week! Unlock all 85 tiers worth of rewards unlockable by playing Brawlhalla and completing missions.

Play the final set of Weekly missions, including “Win matches in under 150 seconds,” and “Get KO’s with different types of Gravity-canceled Signatures.” Weekly Missions are available for all Brawlhalla players to earn Gems and unlock rewards. For the full list check out the “Missions” tab in the Battle Pass screen.

The Galactic War Battle Pass also features:

• A free track extending through all 12 weeks of the Battle Pass.

Progression items like Event Horizon Artemis and the Edge of Existence Podium will still be able to progress after the Battle Pass is over.

Players can unlock over 100 new rewards during the Galactic War Battle Pass season, so grab your favorite Legend and finish the season off strong! Players can also use Mammoth Coins to increase progress along the track while the season is active.

Arcadia makes her free-to-play Legend Rotation debut this week! Other Legends available in the Rotation this week include: Cassidy, Queen Nai, Thatch, Artemis, Zariel, Thor, Sidra, and Azoth.

If you’re new to Seasons, here’s some information you should know. At the beginning of every new season you have a soft Elo reset and receive Glory, the currency you earn by playing Ranked. You can use it in the Ranked section of Malhalla to get special Colors, Weapon Skins, Emotes, and Nameplates to show your dedication to your favorite Legend. We hope you enjoy your rewards and enjoy the New Season!



Soft Elo Reset is based on your current Elo at the end of the season.

1v1 and 2v2 Personal Rating

• Under 1400: New Elo = Old Elo
  
• Over 1400: New Elo = 1400 + (Old Elo – 1400) / (3 – (3000 – Old Elo) / 800)
  
• 2v2 Team and Legend Rating

2v2 Team & Legend Ratings have been brought closer to 750.

• Under 2000: Elo = (Elo + 375) / 1.5
  
• Over 2000, we aggressively brought you back down as a way of resetting the top tiers. Diamond level players will be reset to high gold or low platinum.

Glory earned is based on a combination of your Highest Peak Rating (highest 1v1, 2v2, team, or Legend rating/Elo) and total Wins. This was designed in order to reward both skill and dedication for those who pursue Glory.

You gain 20 Glory per win up to 150 wins, which gets you 3000 Glory. After 150 wins, each subsequent win gives you slightly less.

Note: There is a minimum requirement of 10 games played to be eligible for Glory based on your rating. For help estimating your Glory Gained or New Elo after the reset go to: https://www.brawlhalla.com/glory-calculator/



If you placed in Gold, Platinum, or Diamond in your best rating, you are given a ranked border that people will see in the match preview screen. These will last for one season and will be updated again after the new season comes to a close.

Your border from any previous season does not carry over or have any impact on your current border reward.



Ranked Avatars include prestigious versions for those who’ve placed in high ranks during previous seasons. For example, if you placed in Platinum last season and Gold this season, you’ll receive the upgraded versions of the Competitor’s Badge and Gold Emblem. You will still have your original Platinum Emblem avatar from previous seasons.

You must play a minimum of 10 games to receive ranked avatars / borders at ANY rank.

• Competitor’s Badge: Awarded to anyone who plays 10 Ranked Games or more.
  
• Gold Emblem: Awarded to players who finish at Gold or above.
  
• Platinum Emblem: Awarded to players who finish at Platinum or above.
  
• Diamond Emblem: Awarded to players who finish at Diamond.
  
• Upgraded versions of Ranked Avatars are awarded to those who have earned the same Avatar in any previous season.

For players who have reached the 5th Tier of an avatar by reaching a certain rank or higher for five total seasons: the 5th Tier of that avatar will stay in your inventory permanently! Congratulations on your achievements!

The 6th Tier Avatar, for those who have reached a certain rank or higher for six total seasons, will take on a brand new look! These avatars will grow more and more prestigious with each subsequent seasonal repeat up to Tier 10, at which point the Tier 10 avatar will remain in your inventory permanently.

In short, every 5 Tiers of avatars, you’ll keep the most awesome, most decked out version permanently, and then start work on a new version for subsequent tiers for 6-10, 11-15, and so on.



Beyond glory there is immortality! In Mallhalla, under the “Ranked” tab, players may spend their hard-earned Glory to purchase Skyforged Colors, Weapons, Nameplates, Emotes, and Sidekicks. Skyforged Colors are only usable on Legends that have reached level 5 or greater.

Players can also purchase Goldforged items, which require the purchase of the Skyforged version of the same item. Show your strength with these exclusive Ranked items!
