• Priya – “The Radiant Blade”
  • Weapons: Chakram (NEW), Sword
  • Stats: 4 Strength, 6 Dexterity, 5 Defense, 7 Speed
  • “Armed with silk and sword, Priya became a symbol of strength and benevolence. Many followed in her footsteps, taking up the art of blade and dance to defend the meek.”
Priya debuts with 3 new Skins:
  • Dark Harlequin Priya – “She'll get the last laugh.”
  • Joyful Dancer Priya – “Celebrating the joy of life with each performance!”
  • Chakora Priya – “Thriving off of the moonbeams, she shines and dances!”
Straight from Ulgrim’s forge, Chakram is the newest Weapon to be part of the Grand Tournament. Priya introduces it as the divine Sun Dusted Chakram, a gift from the gods for defending the people of her village from gloom raiders.

Chakram has a new ability – Mode Swapping. It can be wielded as a single, circular blade in Fused Mode, or dual-wielded in its Split Mode.
  • Use the Down Light Attack to mode swap Chakram between Fused & Split Mode.
  • All Light Attacks have unique variations for each mode, including Down Light.
  • Using Signature Attacks will not cause the Chakram to mode swap.
Priya may be the first, but she will not be the last to wield a Chakram in Valhalla! Just like every Weapon, more Legends equipped with Chakram will be released in the future.Skyforged and Goldforged Chakram Skins are available to purchase with Glory now in the “Ranked” tab in Mallhalla.

The Asgardian Chakram Skin is also available now in the Collector’s Pack and has been auto-granted on launch to everyone who previously purchased it.

“Hold-to Dodge” and Sentinel’s Side Hammer Signature Attack Rework have graduated from Test Features and are now available in all queues! Thanks again to everyone who tested and gave feedback on our official socials.
Hold-to-Dodge
You can now hold the Dodge button while in hitstun to immediately Dodge on the first available frame out of hitstun.

The Dodge button hold must begin to be pressed after the hitstun begins that you intend to Dodge out of, and continue to be held until the Dodge is executed.
  • This means you can not simply hold the button down forever to always Dodge out of hitstun.
  • This helps make the windows for escaping strings available to players of all skill levels and eliminates button mashing.
Sentinel Side Hammer's Charge Variant
In an effort to continue updating previous Legends with our new dev capabilities, we have added a Charged Variant to Sentinel's Side Hammer Signature Attack.

Years ago, this Signature was excellent at surprising opponents from a distance with a powerful leaping strike, but over time the speed of the game has increased and that distance has become less impactful.
  • Now, when this Signature is charged past a brief duration, Sentinel will perform a double swing that travels a much greater distance.
  • The Uncharged Side Hammer remains the same.
Sound
• Update 2/13: The sound for Blasters Neutral Light has been updated to match closer to the visual timing of the second shot.
UX
• New “Try It” function in Mallhalla. Click the button to hop directly into Training Mode and try out a new Legend or Skin before you buy them!

  • Made several quality of life updates to Turkish localization to ensure accuracy & clarity.
    • Xbox now fully supports Turkish localization.
    • PlayStation now supports proper Turkish capitalization.
Gameplay
• Fixed a bug that enabled steering during Scythe Down Air's Recover time on miss.
Art & Animation
• Fixed a bug where Scarlet would have a tail in her character select animation.
UI
• Fixed a bug where some Chest previews would overlap with the scroll bar in Mallhalla.
  • Fixed a minor bug to make sure the Challenge menu will only open once after players complete a challenge.
  • Fixed a bug on Nintendo Switch with Challenges where a blank popup would appear after failing to complete the Challenge.
  • Fixed a bug where the post-match screen incorrectly displayed “Team Blue/Red Wins” instead of the proper Faction name.
  • Fixed a bug where the capital letters J, Q, X, and Z, weren’t showing up in a room invite.
  • Fixed a bug where it erroneously showed an empty bar instead of a full one at the 50/50 mark of the current track.
  • Fixed an issue where the "An Error has occurred" message did not fit in the popup. That error should no longer occur.
  • Fixed a bug where the main menu could still be interacted with behind the game mode selection screen.
  • Fixed a Challenges bug where the “Show Demo” button was still interactable while the Lin Fei cutscene was playing.
  • Fixed a bug where the post-match Skirmish screen cut off the back button on iPad.
UX
• Fixed a bug where players could bypass the Skirmish Faction selection by accepting a room request.

Special “Skirmish Battles” take place when you get matched with a member of the opposing Faction in Ranked. A random Influence multiplier is applied to a Skirmish Battle, which can be seen on the loading screen before the match. Some rewards are granted when you choose your Faction, and extra rewards are granted when the Skirmish ends.
  • Faction Title awarded based on your total personal contribution to your Faction at the end of the Skirmish.
    • Adept – 5,000 Influence
  • Hero – 30,000 Influence

Each member of the winning Faction will earn an animated version of their Faction’s Avatar. Additionally, any Titles that have been earned from your personal contribution to your Faction’s Influence will be yellow. Titles that have been earned by members of the losing Faction will be white. We’ve done a quality of life pass on all 1v1 & 2v2 Tournament Maps. This includes:
  • Higher vantage points won't have high floating spawns.
  • Standardized the weapon spawn zone and the amount of distance between each spawn.
  • Team Initial spawns are now guaranteed to be contrasting compared to similar Maps’ initial team spawns.
The following changes have been made to the pools.
  • Mos Eisley Spaceport has been added to the 1v1 and 2v2 Tournament Map Pool.
  • Apocalypse has been removed from the 1v1 and 2v2 Tournament Map Pool.
UX
• Added an option to select 1 or more "favorite" cosmetic items. Having more than 1 favorite will give you a random one from your selected options.
  • Gadgets are now available in the Image Render Tool!
  • Added a popup screen warning Brawlers attempting to get a refund for an item that is either: Part of a seasonal event that is not currently active, or a Crossover item that is no longer available for purchase.
UI
• Fixed a long-standing bug so now Progression Skin & Podium level-up missions from past Battle Pass seasons will properly display on the post-match Battle Pass screen after the match where you finished them.
  • Fixed several bugs preventing certain letters from being input in the several text fields including Clan Name, and 1v1/2v2 Tournament Name.
Art & Animation
• Fixed animation issues when equipping the High Five Emote with the Brioche and Sekhar, Star Collapser sidekicks.
  • Fixed an issue with the Image Render Tool where frames could not be chosen for animated Podiums.
UX
• Fixed a bug where the audio wouldn’t play for the “Bubbles” Emote in Mallhalla.

This patch contains a number of changes that provide more appropriate risk to certain key attacks in team gameplay and improvements to underutilized Signature attacks on some underperforming Legends.
Axe
The Axe Neutral Air was an overly safe option during team games that could retreat too quickly from an opponent after striking that opponent's teammate. We have reduced the amount of allowed acceleration on hit to provide a wider opportunity to retaliate in this situation.
  • Axe Neutral Air: Decreased the amount of allowed backwards acceleration on hit.
Battle Boots
The Battle Boots Ground Pound now has less threat coverage and the hurtbox has been adjusted to allow more attacks to reliably contest this Ground Pound from in front and below.
  • Battle Boots Ground Pound: Slightly decreased threat coverage towards the front and bottom of the attack; Slightly shifted hurtbox downward during the kick.
Cannon
We have increased the Cooldown time on miss and hit for the Cannon Down Light, as repeat use of this attack could block attempts at retaliation from an opponent's teammate too easily. The Cannon Down Air now has greater Recover time on miss for the ground version to grant a wider opportunity to punish reckless use of this attack.
  • Cannon Down Light: Increased Cooldown time on miss from 16 to 17; Increased Cooldown time on hit from 12 to 15.
  • Cannon Down Air: Increased total Recover time on miss for the ground version from 3 Fixed/20 Variable to 5 Fixed/20 Variable.
Gauntlets
The Gauntlets Neutral Air now has greater Recover time on miss to grant a wider opportunity to return to stage between Gauntlet attacks during an edgeguard, and to more easily retaliate against this quick attack.
  • Gauntlets Neutral Air: Increased total Recover time from 5 Fixed/20 Variable to 7 Fixed/20 Variable.
Rocket Lance
The Rocket Lance Neutral Air now has less allowed backwards acceleration on hit to grant a wider opportunity for opposing teammates to retaliate against this attack in team games.
  • Rocket Lance Neutral Air: Decreased the amount of allowed backwards acceleration on hit.
Orb
We have increased the Cooldown time on miss for the Orb Side Air to allow a wider opportunity to retaliate against or maneuver around repeat use of this attack in the neutral game.
  • Orb Side Air: Increased Cooldown time on miss from 12 to 15.
Scythe
The Scythe Side Air and Down Air could rotate into other attacks too quickly for their coverage and potential reward, so we have increased their Recover time on miss to bring their risk in line with other similar options.
  • Scythe Side Air: Increased total Recover time on miss from 2 Fixed/25 Variable to 4 Fixed/25 Variable.
  • Scythe Down Air: Increased total Recover time on miss from 2 Fixed/24 Variable to 4 Fixed/24 Variable.
Sword
The Sword Side Light now has increased Stun and decreased Force to allow for more consistent follow-up attacks. To account for this consistency, we have also increased the maximum angle of Directional Influence for this attack when struck by duplicate attacks in a single combo. The Sword Recovery attack now has less Force to better match its high degree of utility and ease of use.
  • Sword Side Light: Increased Stun from 14 to 15; Decreased Force of the final hit from 78 Fixed/4 Variable to 61 Fixed/1 Variable; Increased maximum angle of Directional Influence when being struck by duplicate attacks in a single combo.
  • Sword Recovery: Decreased Force from 55 Fixed/42 Variable to 55 Fixed/40 Variable.
Azoth
Azoth's Down Bow now has much greater Force to better match its relatively small threat coverage and straightforward nature.
SEASONALS
Seasonal Championships are back. Taking place in February, May, July, and September there will be four seasonal championships this year

Seasonal Championships take place over two weekends. The first weekend is a singles competition. This pits player against player in a regional online double elimination bracket.

The second weekend celebrates the rich doubles tradition of the game. You’ll need to sign up with a friend to compete at being the best 2v2 team in your region.

Seasonal Schedules follow the same schedule each weekend:

Friday: Middle East & Southeast Asia

Saturday: Europe & South America

Sunday: North America
INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT
Brawlhalla esports has a global following and we are excited to be able to support our greater international audience. Last year we introduced support for the Middle East server region and this year we are expanding that support. The Middle East region last year had two officially supported events, a singles tournament, and a doubles tournament. In year 10, the Middle East will be receiving support for four seasonal events, in both game modes.

This brings the Middle East in line with Southeast Asia, who will continue to receive official support this year.
ROYALES
Introduced in 2022 as an extension of the seasonal events, the Brawlhalla Seasonal Royales are small intimate invitationals that bring together the top players of our three primary regions for an in-person tournament. In year 10, we are increasing the number of Royales from two to four. Six players total, two from North America, two from South America, and two from Europe, will qualify for each of these events by placing in the top two of the associated Seasonal Championship. The players will be invited to the Royale and if they are able to make it, they will be flown to the event.

At the Royale, players will participate in a media day, which will include: interviews, games, some live streams, and more. Players will also compete against each other in the regular Royale tournament format.

There is one special Royale this year. The Winter Royale which will be hosted at Max Mode in Atlanta, Georgia. This event will have an open doubles tournament, an open last chance qualifier, and a full day of Royale competition.

The specifics of the format can be found below:

Friday: Doubles Tournament – bring a friend, this is open to all.

Saturday: Last Chance Qualifier – Open to all, this is a singles, double elimination tournament where the top 2 players qualify into the Royale the next day.

Sunday: Royale day – A round robin tournament, with some double elimination at the end. Eight players will have entered and only one will walk away a monarch.

To be eligible for a Royale invite, players must be 16 years of age or greater.
COMMUNITY
The Brawlhalla Community Tournament Initiative returns in its 5th year. Since its inception in 2020, the program has awarded over $500,000 in prize money to the community and the program is still going strong. In Year 10, we are excited to welcome back our Tier 1 Community Partners. Competitors can look forward to regular high quality events run by the community.

If you are interested in joining the BCTI and submitting your events for prizing support please reach out to us at [email protected].
ETERNAL SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Thea built up a rabid fanbase by dominating Valhalla’s alt tournament scene. She won The Brawlball Open, The Kung Foot Annual, and The Ymirion Clash in a single year—Then she founded Eternal Sports.

This year we would like to shine a spotlight on the beloved alt tournament scenes that made Thea so popular, so we are happy to introduce the Eternal Sports Championships featuring Brawlball, Triples, and Kung Foot!
LANS
In addition to the open Royale, Brawlhalla will be celebrating Year 10 at two more events.

The Brawlhalla Midseason Championship will be hosted once again at CEO this June. The Mid Season Championship is an open tournament featuring both game modes. Attendees should expect some of the best gameplay of their career, big game reveals, exclusive merchandise, and more.

Registration is open now, with a sizable early bird discount. Go to ceogaming.org for more information.

The Brawlhalla World Championship will also be returning this year in November. As the culmination of our ten year celebration, this BCX will be bigger, better, and more exciting than ever before. More information will be available later this year, stay tuned.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a rising star, this year promises to be an unforgettable experience for every player involved. This is your chance to step into the arena, test your skills, and become a legend.
