The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt News

Don't worry, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 won't require about six Witcher 3s worth of space on your machine

If you've been worried that Call of Duty Black Ops 6 might require huge amount of space to install and play - say the 300GB listed on the Xbox Store over the weekend - then good news, it looks like it won't be that big after all.

Yup, stop engaging in all of those debates as to whether the series being on Game Pass now is a good thing for Xbox or not in order to stop yourself from panicking, you can chill out now.

This is because the figure of just over 300GB listed on those pre-order pages has now been identified by Activision to "not represent the download size or disk footprint for Black Ops 6". So, no need to woory about having to have enough space for about six copies of the Witcher 3 - going off of that game's Steam space requirement listing of 50 GB.

Hotfix is now available!

We have just released a hotfix for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt!

It fixes the issue where turning on HairWorks on DirectX 11 crashed the game after loading a save.

It also adds some new capabilities for modding scripts: the script compiler now supports a number of annotations. Their main purpose is to add/modify functionality in existing game functions and classes without merging script files.

Witcher 3 mod lets you explore the first Witcher game's Vizima, less than a day after REDkit made it possible

Ok, so it's been less than 24 hours since CD Projekt let folks get their hands on The Witcher 3's new REDkit modding tools. Naturally, someone's already had a go at porting the bunch of areas that make up the city of Vizima in The first Witcher game into 3.

If you're out of the loop, REDKIT is designed to give folks modding CDPR's masterpiece more power than ever before, with access to a lot of the same tools the studio orginally used to create the game itself. That includes the ability to do stuff like create new quests, or as is key in this case, add in entire new territories.

So, the latter's exactly what modder AngryCatster's tried with some of the maps from the first Witcher game, porting them across into TW3 just to see how things look. While they admit that this is "fairly low-effort attempt" at bringing these areas to the newer game, what they've ended up with is essentially an empty version of Vizima that Geralt can explore.
