The Witcher 3’s ray tracing update finally arrives in December

CD Projekt Red have confirmed the release date for The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt’s ray tracing-enabling Complete Edition update as December 14th. The update will also bring a number of other visual and technical improvements, as well as integrate a number of mods into the fantasy RPG, originally released in 2015. Gameplay from the Complete Edition of The Witcher 3 is due to be shown off in a REDstreams event on Twitch next week, along with some new stuff for the game based on Netflix’s version of Geralt Of Rivia’s adventures.

Okay, sign me up for another 200 hours of The Witcher 3 I suppose, because CD Projekt RED has announced that the game's long-awaited next-gen update will finally release on December 14, exactly a month from now...

With news of a The Witcher Remake, we've all been waiting to hear more about The Witcher 3 next gen release date, and CD Projekt Red has finally delivered. We're all sad that Henry Cavill won't be Geralt anymore

Last week ended on a sour note with the announcement that Henry Cavill will be taking off his white wig and hanging up his sword after The Witcher season 3. We'll see more of Geralt, but Cavill's moving on. Despite some iffy early pictures of him looking like a mediocre cosplayer, Cavill's depiction of the White Wolf has become just as iconic and defining as Doug Cockle's, so he'll definitely be missed. We're just a bit obsessed with Cavill in general here at PC Gamer, so naturally the mood is blue...

Henry Cavill will be replaced as Geralt in The Witcher season four

The Witcher's third season hasn't yet released on Netflix, but the streaming service today confirmed that the show has been renewed for a fourth season. They also announced that Henry Cavill, who has played protagonist Geralt for the first three season, won't be returning. He's being replaced for season 4 by Liam Hemsworth.
