Gamescom 2025: Monsters Are Coming! Rock & Road Preview — Protect The Town!

Monsters Are Coming! Rock & Road had me shouting and squealing in my gamescom 2025 preview, and honestly, I’m here for it. Introduced to me as a Vampire Survivors mixed with tower defence mechanics, I was a bit puzzled, but once I sat down to play, it all fell into place, and Monsters Are Coming! Rock & Road even made my Best of Gamescom 2025 picks. I am very eager to get my hands on this one, but let me tell you more about why.

The world has been taken over by creepy critters, so to save your town, it has been hoisted up onto wheels to get it to the Arch, where there are no monsters. In Monsters Are Coming! Rock & Road, your objective is simple. Transport your town hall through the world until you can safely store it in the Arch. You basically need to run the gauntlet, survive, and the town will be safe and sound. Simple, right?

Where the Vampire Survivor mechanics come into play is while you’re running this gauntlet. You need to fight off hordes of enemies... Read more

Critics are playing Monsters as Wave Two of the Closed Beta will open soon!

[p]Hello Monsters,[/p][p][/p][p]Last week, we invited press to the Raw Fury House of Fury offices in Stockholm to play some games - including Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road! And the response has been wonderful.[/p][p][/p][p]Don't just take our word for it! Here's some early previews from The Sixth Axis, GameSpew and Loot Level Chill to whet your appetite.[/p][p][/p][p]The Sixth Axis - "Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road, is absolutely the kind of game I can see myself losing hours and hours to."[/p][p][/p][p]Loot Level Chill - "I was utterly absorbed by Monsters Are Coming and had to be pretty much asked to put down the Steam Deck and leave the room under duress. Breathing fresh life into a tried and tested formula with some cool concepts, Ludogram are onto a winner here."[/p][p][/p][p]GameSpew - "If you know me even a little bit, there’s a good chance you’ll know I’m absolutely addicted to Survivors-like video games. Vampire Survivors, Geometry Survivors, 20 Minutes Till Dawn, Soulstone Survivors, Ocean Keeper… I’ve played them all. There’s a new one on the horizon, however, and it might be the one to beat them all. Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road combines Survivors-like gameplay with tower defence, and the result is something deliciously moreish."[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]Sounds good? Here's some even better news - Wave Two of the Closed Beta signups is now open and you can register your interest right here until July 2nd! We'll be sending out invites to the chosen participants shortly afterwards. [/p][p][/p][p]If you haven't heard anything, unfortunately that may mean you haven't been successful this time around but we really appreciate your support all the same and encourage you to keep eyes on our channels for future closed beta waves.[/p][p][/p][p]BlueSky [/p][p]https://bsky.app/profile/monsterscoming.bsky.social[/p][p]Twitter [/p][p]https://x.com/_MonstersComing[/p][p]Discord [/p][p]https://discord.gg/mqnTkZBf[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you so much to those who are already checking out the Closed Beta and giving us some wonderful feedback, we appreciate it and hope you're having a blast! [/p][p]And please do consider wishlisting the game and encouraging your friends to sign up to the Closed Beta, it helps us all enormously.[/p][p][/p]

[p]Thank you[/p][p][/p][p]Ludogram and Raw Fury[/p]
