Hallows Eve Event!

This year we're gonna celebrate Halloween with a big update to Pro Wrestling X including new Halloween themed weapons and upgrades to our Hallows Eve venue that will let you cause some serious Halloween havok (heh heh) among the graves and tombstones. Something VERY WICKED this way comes!

Halloween Update is LIVE!!

Lots of new stuff so here we go with notes from PWX Lead Programmer, Burning Devil:

Hey guys here is the long awaited Halloween Build. In this build there are so many changes and upgrades that I took time to improve on. This might be our biggest milestone build we have done so far, so I hope you guys enjoy and give some feedback. Here is the list of changes:

- Added Ring Entrances. I made sure to make them short and sweet but with style. You can skip Entrances by either pressing Start or A button.

- Removed Remap Controls from option menu

- Fixed the error when after selecting your opponent and proceed to the ring select that caused a glitch

- Added PWX Spray Paint logo to loading screen

- Replaced old PWX Intro with new PWX 911 Spray Paint video

- Added Submit message for Ref when applying submission on opponent

- Added crowd POP SFX for Specials

- Added Flash to Spirit meter when Earned a special

- Added the ability to use the Right Analog to trigger special. Your Spirit Meter will flash first, then simply use the Joystick to initiate your Special State

- Added Taunts to the Right Analog stick

- Added Special taunt when achieved Special

-Added new special Taunt when Special is triggered

- Added Special Get Up Animations for both laying face up and down when achieving special state

- Added Shovel Weapon to the game. You can find the Shovels located in Hallows Eve Arena leaning against the Tombs in the back.

- Added Halloween Pumpkin weapon to game. The pumpkins are placed in the Hallows Eve Arena near Entrance. You can use the weapon like any other weapon in game. They explode once used a few times.

-Added physics to the Tombstones in Hallow Eve's Arena

- Added Match Setup Screen. I decided to add a setup Match Menu to configure every match type.

-Added Arena Select Screen to Pre Select Arena before loading game. Arena select is no longer in the Pause Menu

- Moved PWX Sign guy near ramp

- Added both Ring and Corner Table setup in the Match setup menu. You can now add up to Five tables in the ring.

- Upgraded new Pause Menu. New look for the pause menu to give it a more cleaner look.

- Fixed Champion Mode. A few issues fixed within the Belt Chase feature in Champion mode

- Added Split Cam feature for more dynamic camera angles. When the opponents distance are too far apart or certain scenario occur, it will initiate a split cam to show both players position. Shit can get wonky in some situations. Please report when the split cam makes things worse instead of better!

- Added new Start Screen Intro after the opening video. Only happen once you first load the game.

- Assigned Custom Tombstone Names

- Made Hallows Eve Ring and Arena default for the Halloween special.


So that is it guys, I am pretty exhausted and as you can see a lot of time and effort was put into this build to please the fans and get one step closer to the big 1,000 newsletter edition. I hope you guys enjoy the build and leave feedback. For now I'm going to take a little break and refuel my engine because this build took a lot out of me but it was worth it lol. Thanks Guys!

New Update v1.24 is LIVE now!

FINALLY! Version 1.24 is now live on Steam for you to play right now! The crew and I want to thank all of you so damn much for your patience as we pushed on through our latest round of life challenges to get this build to you. THANK YOU!


This update is about increasing stability, pacing, and depth of gameplay:


- Fixed Parry being too sensitive when pressing the block button while far distance from opponent

- Fixed Climbing bug error in Cell Match that positioned the player in the center of the cage

- Fixed Aspect ratios in character select screen

- Fixed the glitch of pausing the game when match is over

- Fixed Look Direction for AI opponents

- Improved Hit Detection when triggering your opponent but it wouldn't register collision

- Fixed move spamming on downed opponent. Now each ground move is calculated to prevent any repeated spamming on you or your opponent. No WM21 ground attack spamming here!

- Added sound for striking opponent while on apron to Ragdoll and improved impact sounds for metal weapons, steel chair, etc.

- Added the ability to switch opponent targets during multi man matches with the Left Trigger (Multiplayer not available from main menu in this build. Oops!)

- Fixed the Nutshot glitch where your opponent will sell after successfully blocking strike.

-Added apron-to-ring and ring-to-apron grapple moves with more accurate grapple detection.

-Added apron-to-ring slingshot attack move slot. Still need to add rope physics for this type of move.

-Improved animation blending and collision for Plancha and running moves from ring to floor.

-Fixed the driver issue causing some Xbox controllers from not being recognized. YES!

-Optimized input timing once grapple loop is active to reduce impulse to button mash.

-Optimized for 60FPS

Just gonna rip the band-aid off here. Cringe over-sharing alert. My marriage and relationship of over 30 years ended a few months ago and it’s been painful and paralyzing. Needless to say, I’ve been off the grid and away from much Pro Wrestling X social media and related posting over the summer. But I’m starting to come out the other side and get my physical and mental energy back. Please, no need for ‘sorry’ comments. It was 100% long overdue and necessary. For the best for everyone involved. And as many things as I have to be grateful for it’s this project, this crew, this adventure, and this community that are some of the biggest reasons I have to shake off the shit and get moving again. So here we go…

Elite Controller Fixed!

Just got the latest v1.23 build from our programmer and finally the damn issues some people were having with their Xbox Elite controllers has been fixed. FINALLY!

Along with my personal shitshow this summer our programmers development gear shit the bed on him in July as well. Luckily, I was sitting on some wicked gear (thanks day job!) that I didn’t really use so I boxed it all up and shipped from my Canadian mountain lair to our lead programmer in the U.S. Apparently shipping a laptop is considered a hazardous good because of the battery?!? Huh. So, I guess charging me $100 to ship it somehow makes it less hazardous?! Either way, we tracked that shipment like Facebook tracks every second of our lives and it all arrived safe and sound just a few days ago. Our programmer is up and running and so is the rest of our crew. Good way to end the summer and head into Fall :)

v1.21 MAJOR Gameplay update!

This milestone update is 100% about improving the core gameplay. We've improved everything from the overall speed of the game to input timing windows so the game now feels so much snappier (sluggish no more!) and responsive. No more missed grapple moves!

And just for fun, the spinning AKI submission camera is BACK BAYBAY!
