A new, smaller patch has just landed! While this update is primarily focused on behind-the-scenes work as we prepare for Steam Deck verification, we’ve also included a few bug fixes to improve your overall experience. We also want to highlight that we are currently working on adding remappable controls for both mouse & keyboard and controllers. Read the full patch notes down below! 👇

• Options should save locally now instead of across the cloud.
  

[h3]🪲 Bug Fixes:[/h3]

• Fixed an issue with the "Squirrelympic" achievement where the host wouldn't receive it in co-op play.
  
• Fixed an issue affecting the "Take Me to the River" achievement.
  
• Fixed an issue with the "Energy Quantified" achievement that allowed it to be unlocked without carrying the plank.
  
• Improved UI readability on 16:10 aspect ratio screens, particularly for Steam Deck users.
  
• Fixed a bug where clients could receive duplicate quest reward items from NPCs.
  
• Improved the dog walking animations for smoother movement.
  
• Corrected a minor visual issue with an icon.

After much deliberation, we’ve selected the two creations that stood out the most - Congratulations to Kitty Kat Devil (post on X), Agnė (Post on Youtube) and Alex (post on X) ! 🙌🎉

🌿 Kitty Kat Devil opened up their floor plan to give nature a more natural spot in their cozy house. You can even sniff the flowers from inside.
🌳 Agnė took the oak tree into a new direction with multiple levels of coziness. They even created a beautiful restaurant inside!
🏡 Alex and their partner built a beautiful family home with a breathtaking view. We could relax and stare into the sky from there everyday!

We’ll be reaching out to the winners to confirm their contact details. Game keys will be sent out after this! ✨

With Easter hopping around the corner, we’re egg-cited to celebrate with all of you in this egg-cellent patch! 🐣 We’ve added a brand-new egg-citing Egg Chair and Sticks in a Jar for you to decorate your treehouse in style. So don’t miss out! ✨

A big thank you to all the squirrels who’ve reported issues and shared feedback. We appreciate your thoughts and ideas! Keep cracking those eggs-traordinary ideas in our Community Hub, and let's continue to make this place special together!

• Introduced a new Egg Chair and Sticks in a Jar decoration.
  
• New and cozy Easter-themed main menu.
  
• Added steam visual effects to the Hot Tub decoration.
  
• Quest descriptions have larger text and can now be scrolled using the mouse wheel or the right thumbstick on a controller.
  
• Updated some controller icons for better clarity.
  

[h3]🪲 Bug Fixes[/h3]

• The Scarecrow achievement now correctly unlocks for clients in co-op games.
  
• Fixed an issue where sanctuary restoration rewards and achievements could be missed if the player quit during the animation.
  
• Treasure mounds are now saved correctly, even if only the client held the treasure map.
  
• Addressed a bug where the "Join Game" error popup was not clickable when using a controller.
  
• Language selection is now available on first-time startup when using a controller.
  
• Fixed an issue that allowed players to craft duplicate tools at the workbench.
  
• Previously equipped items now correctly re-equip for clients upon joining a game.
  
• The health bar now updates properly after sleeping.
  
• Flower pots no longer prompt interaction when already full.
  
• Portal visuals now display correctly for clients upon loading in.
  
• Sanctuary restoration visuals now replicate properly for co-op clients.
  
• The menu can no longer be opened during the intro cutscene.
  
• Players can no longer meditate simultaneously.
  
• Fixed an issue where Lotta Land’s flying away animation did not replicate properly.
  
• Walnut tree leaf materials are now consistent across all instances.
  
• Adjusted collision for the golden acorn stuck in the mound near the café.
  
• Various landscape improvements.
  
• Resolved several audio-related issues.

⭐ Three winners will each receive a free game key, plus bragging rights as top squirrel interior designers! The key could be a great way to invite a friend to play with you. You can also use the demo version to participate!
