Devlog #11 - Release date annoucement!
Hello everyone!
08.08.2024

Yes, release of Before Exit on PC is less than month away. We basically completed whole gameplay loop and now we are focusing on polishing and fixing issues that we have found. We have playtested the game and even in current state it was pretty playable, so we expect that release should go expected to proceed smoothly…
… as always.
We are not experienced studio, but we already went trough some game releases. Some of them was directly produced by us, in some we were part of a team. It’s hard to predict what will exactly happen after such crucial day in a game development cycle. Will there be game breaking bug that we have to patch right after? Or some players will experience crashes that we never encounter? Or there will be silence and no one buys our game?
No matter what, we will have our latest answer in less than a month. We hope you all hop on this train and help us make Before Exit the best possible experience!

Again, we warmly invite you to visit our Discord and add the game to your wish list!
Devlog #10 - Buy two, get one free!
Hello Customers!

We are still working hard, buuut what would a day be without a decent devlog? Today I want to introduce you to my new friend - Crate cart!
It helps with the distribution of crates around the storage and shop. The player can carry crates by hand, but it is less time-efficient and he can grab only one per run…

…because a cart can carry two crates simultaneously!

It uses the same driving system as our shopping cart, and it is still bugged a little bit but still, you will be able to move crates faster! We will use it in certain scenarios where the player will be asked to move some crates around the shop. It is only for the player to decide what tool he will use, but he has to be fast and careful, not to be fired at the end of the shift!

Still, there is work to be done and it can be buggy sometimes, but those issues will be fixed in no time!

Additionally, We have recently updated our logo with subtitles! On this opportunity, take a look at what the logo design looked like from which we chose the best one:
Thats it for the day, Stay tuned!
Devlog #9 - “Dear Diary, he didn’t fire me today…
Customers!

We are making progress with the gameplay scenarios that you will encounter in the game. We don’t want to spoil anything, but there are first indicators about your cause in this shop!
(those one in Polish, we didn't have translations yet. Sorry!)

Of course, those are not your only sources about what to do in the game, but a large part of the tasks will require that you deduce them from the environment or guess them based on the right setting.

The first note is a static objective list, it tells you what you should check first if you want to complete each evening. This note is more of a signpost than a checklist, there will be things to do that are not noted there - but that is exactly what makes our game fun!

The second list gives you insight into your progress - you will get fired if you make any mistake, but you get promoted to a better position and no longer have to close the shop after surviving 7 consecutive days.

Unfortunately, we still face bugs that we need to patch, some of which are so interesting that I decided to share them with you:

Currently, it is possible to squeeze through walls using a shopping cart, our character may have some supernatural powers, but this is unlikely to be one of them.

This is a classic one - getting stuck between an object and a wall. We are sure that players will find plenty of bugs like that after release, but we want to catch the most obvious stuck places.
That's all for today, Stay Tuned!
