Achievements, updates, and fixes!

  • [p]Added 37 brand new achievements![/p]
    • [p]If you have already met their requirements, some achievements will automatically unlock.
      Due to how the game tracked statistics before this update, some achievements, require you to accomplish them with a new save.[/p]
  • [p]Updated various loading and menu screens.[/p]
    • [p]Based on your valuable feedback, we created new loading screens and overhauled some of the menu backgrounds based on the originals.[/p]
  • [p]Improved render quality of some in-game text.[/p]
  • [p]Improved render distance.[/p]
  • [p]Updated the configurator and added more options.[/p]
  • [p]Added a reflection shader fix for AMD GPUs.[/p]
  • [p]Added Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese localizations.[/p]
  • [p]Other minor fixes.[/p]

Traditional and Simplified Chinese Now Available!

[p]FlatOut 2 now supports Traditional and Simplified Chinese. If you find any translation errors, please feel free to provide feedback.[/p]

Update notes for June 18, 2025

  • Fixed racing wheels not working at the beginning of races when using analog inputs.
  • Fixed an issue where the Control key couldn't be remapped.
  • Fixed various Linux/Steam Deck crashes.

Controller and crash fixes

  • Fixed some racing wheels not working.
  • Added support for unrecognized controllers.
Note: Wheels and unrecognized controllers will need to be manually configured in the options menu.

  • Fixed an issue where players could not see other players' multiplayer lobbies.
  • Fixed crash when using mods that use an ASI Loader.
  • Fixed all controllers breaking when 3 or more controllers are plugged in.
    • Note: Due to engine limitations, the game only uses the first 2 controllers.
Note: If a controller isn't working as intended, re-insert the controller and restart the game.

Classic racing games FlatOut 1 & 2 just got upgraded, and there's also a small update for FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage too.
