We’ve been making this wholesome world of animals and mechs for a long time now and it has been wonderful bringing it to players once again.🐶😺🦝[/p][p]Over the past weeks, you’ve inspired us with your reception to Animalkind at this early stage. From players meeting in the Wilderness, making friends, and starting islands together to crowds working together to scavenge the ever-so-brittle codex fragments, we loved how much people enjoyed playing together. From awww-somely-cozy towns to absurd item stacking and terraforming, we were impressed by your creativity. From massive farming operations, non-stop fishing, and hanging out swapping stories at a campfire in the Wilderness, we appreciated all of the ways people found fun in the game. 💕[/p][p]It is safe to say that Alpha 2 was an immense success for us. We saw 10 times the number of players compared to Alpha 1 (and we wish we could have let more into the playtest). We have an amazing amount of feedback to go through. Through Alpha 2 you have left your pawprints on our story and given us so many ideas for how to improve the game. With your help we’re going to make Animalkind truly special. 🌱🏡✨[/p][p]We’ll be sharing more about what we saw and learned in Alpha 2 in the future. Let your creativity shine and showcase how you’ve shaped your world using Animalkind’s decorating and terraforming tools - and hey, you might earn some rewards too.[/p][p][/p][p]The Uncommon team will judge your entries based on originality, creativity, use of terraforming skills, cohesion/style, and clarity of theme. Players are getting invited in waves so the Uncommon team can best manage server load and make adjustments. Watch your inbox for access to the playtest. [p]Hey all you cool cats, dapper dogs, and rad raccoons! We know you’ve been patiently waiting for the date on our impending Alpha 2 playtest. The team here at Uncommon has been working fur-iously behind the scenes to ensure our Alpha 2 build is the best it possibly can be… and we’re happy to say, we have an official date![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]What can you expect from the Alpha 2 playtest?[/h2][p][/p]

• [p]Explore the wilds: Players can now travel from their home islands to a new wilderness region. Meet up with friends and discover ancient ruins and other hidden secrets… Adventure awaits![/p]
• [p]New animal friends: A capybara, beaver, and bear join the cast, oh my! These new animals are waiting for you to find and befriend them in the new wilderness region. And who knows? Maybe you can convince them to move to your island![/p]
• [p]It’s harvest season: Farming comes to Animalkind! Grow various crops, bushes, flowers, and trees! You can create cozy groves and beautiful gardens. The world is yours to grow![/p]
• [p]More decorations: More customizations and decorations have been added to the game for Alpha 2, so you can really make your house feel like a home.[/p][p][/p]

[p]We’re happy to announce that Alpha 2, the next closed playtest for Animalkind, is coming in July 2025! Special thanks to IGN and Future Games Show for working with us on the announcement! 🐾 [/p][p]Some quick details though:[/p]

• [p] This will be a closed playtest but players can sign-up to participate on our Steam page, just like with our previous Alpha 1 playtest.[/p]
