・【PS4/PS5/Steam】 Adjustments to the Mobility of the Biped Abductor
A bug that caused unintended speeds for the movement of Biped Abductors has been fixed.

・【PS4/PS5/Steam】 Adjustments to the Peltatum's Suction Attack
A bug that caused unintended amount of movement for Suction Attacks of Peltatum-type has been fixed.

・Unable to Transition to Charge Attacks Immediately After Dashing
A bug where you couldn't transition to charge attacks immediately after dashing when using Heavy Melee or Polearms has been fixed.

・Fixed Modular Selection Bug
Personal Firearm: A bug where an invalid modular (increased fire rate) could be selected has been fixed for the Pulsar system.

・Adjustments to Item Drop Behavior
A bug where enemy drop items in Operation 7-4 could disappear after being dropped has been fixed.

・Fixed Bug with Unacquired Weapons Being Notified
A bug where unacquired weapons were incorrectly notified upon destroying weaponry on certain Large Abductors has been fixed.

・Adjustments to Ally NPC Behavior
A bug where ally NPCs would continuously miss with their thorns has been fixed.

・Fixed Bug with Lock-On Sound Effect Persisting
A bug where the lock-on sound effect would persist in certain situations when using Nambu-type weapons has been fixed.

・Correction of Spanish Text
When the display language was set to Spanish, some material names were incorrectly displayed as those of different materials. This has been corrected.
“Fibra de Will’O: Artillero” -> “Motor de Will’O: Artillero”

・Other Bug Fixes
Other bugs have been fixed.

[h3]■Adjustments/Changes to Specifications[/h3]
・Addition of "Citizen" Tab to Application for Sentence Reduction screen
A "Citizen" tab has been added to Application for Sentence Reduction. (※GDPP at the time of Citizen donation will be zero.)

・Enhanced Severing Damage
The damage from severing attacks has been strengthened. Additionally, the performance difference between button mashing and holding the button has been adjusted to be almost equivalent.

・Permanent Availability of Retribution Volunteer
A "Special Volunteer Dispatch Lottery Terminal" has been added to the cooperative volunteer rooms, allowing players to use the Entitlement Points to obtain the Retribution Volunteer.

・Eased Difficulty in Acquiring limited Exclusive Resources for Retribution Volunteer
A new selection of resources available for purchase from Ethan at Level 6 has been added.

・Weapon Balance Adjustments
Balance adjustments have been made for SR, AR, Phalanx, Pulsar, and Dragonfang weapons:
SR: Headshot multiplier and magazine capacity have been strengthened.
AR: Flinch damage and the impact of attribute values have been strengthened.
Pulsar: The impact of attribute values has been strengthened.
Phalanx: The impact of attribute values has been strengthened.
Dragonfang: Power, headshot multiplier, and maximum magazine capacity have been strengthened.
※Weapon adjustments are planned for future patches as well.

・Addition of PvP Volunteer Start Function for Small Groups
A function has been added that allows PvP volunteer missions to start when there are 2 or more players in the room.
※Missing participants will be filled by Sinner NPCs

・Change in default value of application authority for Cooperative Volunteers
The default setting for the application authority of cooperative volunteers has been changed from "Host Only" to "Everyone."

・Adjustment of Success Rate for Modular Synthesis
The success rate for modular synthesis has been adjusted, making it easier to strengthen modules.

・Adjustment of Attack Hit Display for SR and AR Weapons
The damage display position for SR and AR weapon hits has been adjusted to prevent overlap.

・Addition of Accessory Voice Language Switch Function
A language switch function for Accessory’s voices has been added to the " Window on Liberty > Auditory Language Change Request" menu.
※Accessory’s voices support both Japanese and English languages.
※To correctly play the customized response voices, you need to re-enter the dialogue in the selected language.

・Additional Specs for the "Spider Thread" Status Effect
When affected by the "Spider Thread" status effect, players can now escape from the restrained state more quickly by pressing buttons.

・Adjustment to the Spawn Frequency of Shielded Abductors
The spawn frequency of shielded Abductors has been adjusted.

・Adjustment to Dodge Action Performance
Dodge action performance has been adjusted. Additionally, the window for transitioning from getting up after being downed to a dodge has been extended.

・Adjustment to Dionaea's Attack Hitbox
The hitbox for Dionaea's running attack and gliding attack has been adjusted.

・Feature to hide menu displays in online multiplayer rooms
Added a feature to hide menu displays in online multiplayer rooms. Pressing the R2/ZR/RT button will now hide various menu displays.

・【Steam】Addition of Thorn Aim Assist On/Off Option
An option menu has been added to turn on/off the Thorn aim assist feature.

・Some of the settings were not being reflected after preparing a loadout at the transporter screen right before starting an operation
Fixed the bug preventing some of the changes from being reflected after a time up occurred when preparing a loadout right before the start of an operation (affected items:Modules and Augmentations).

・Game crashes inside the Request Cooperation rooms
Fixed the bug causing the game to freeze at the Request Cooperation rooms when the host changed the room comments continuously.

・【Steam®】Inability to progress past the story events of CODE 6.
Fixed the bug affecting the character’s movement during the story events of CODE 6 when playing under certain system settings, preventing players from getting past the story events.

・【Steam®】Inability to change the direction of charged heavy melee attacks when using mouse & keyboard.
Fixed the bug preventing players from changing the direction of weak heavy melee attacks when using mouse & keyboard controls.

・【PS4®】Inability to choose some spawning points at a certain map in Vs. Operations
Fixed the bug preventing players from selecting spawning points G and E during Vs. Operations at the “Large Scale Facilities”.

・Other bug fixes
Fixed other minor bugs.

・Adjustments around the respawn of Small Abductors, Sinners, Accessories and from On High
Extended the time it takes for Small Abductors, Sinners, Accessories and from On High to respawn after defeating them during certain operations.

・Adjustments on the behavior of the Accessories
Adjusted the behavior of the Accessories when attacking.

・Addition of a Dash move by holding down the Dodge button
Added a Dash move that can be executed by holding down the Dodge button.

・Hit detection adjustments for the Abductor’s attacks
Adjusted the hit detection of the Large Abductors’ “Gatling Gun” weapons,

・Added a feature that allows turning Private Rooms into Custom Rooms
Added a new feature that allows turning the Private Rooms originally created for co-op operations into Custom Rooms.

・Addition of the Room Comments
Added a new feature that allows players to configure Room Comments in the Request Cooperation option.

・【Steam®】Matchmaking adjustments
Adjusted the matchmaking conditions of the online multiplayer.

We plan to fix the following bugs/specifications in the upcoming updates.

・Way of getting the Retribution Missions
We plan to adjust the ways in which players can obtain Retribution Missions.

・Chances of obtaining rare resources during the Retribution Missions
We plan to adjust the players’ chances of obtaining the rare resources that only appear at the Retribution Missions.

・Weapon balance adjustments
We plan to improve the efficiency of certain weapons.

・Adjustment of the severing attacks
We plan to improve the damage inflicted by the severing attacks.

・Adjustments to the Modular Synthesis’ success rate
We plan to make some adjustments to facilitate the creation of high level (XL)Modules.

・Sound effect crashes when locking on with Ranged Weapons
We plan to fix the sound effect bug causing the sound to remain active after locking on with Ranged weapons.

・Issues during Polearm charge attacks
We plan to fix the bug preventing the players from aiming in the middle of Polearm charge attacks.

・Positioning adjustments to the damage display of some weapons
We plan to adjust the positioning of the damage displays that appear when using AR weapons, so that the one that the damage values from the impacts and explosions do not pile up on top of each other.

・Notification Log issues during Abductor part destructions
We plan to fix the bug causing the Notification Log to show a message stating that a weapon cannot be obtained during Abductor part destructions.

・Addition of an option to disable the aim assist feature of the Thorns
We plan to add an option that allows users to disable the aim assist feature of the Thorns.

・Changes to the settings used for the creation of Request Cooperation rooms
We plan to change the default joining option that appears when creating a Request Cooperation room, from “Host Only” to “Everyone”.

Fixed the bug preventing the effects of all sorts of health augmentations from reflecting properly in the game.

Fixed the bug preventing the damage reduction effects of the defense augmentations from reflecting properly in the game.

・【Steam®】Inability to open the Online Menu on 24H2 environments
Fixed the bug preventing users from reopening the Online Menu after closing the Online Lobby on computers running version 24H2 of Windows 11.

Extended the time limit of the CODE 5 Exam and the CODE 6 Exam.

■ Bug Fixes 
・Unresponsiveness in Multiplayer Lobby 
Fixed a bug where players would become unresponsive in the online multiplayer lobby if another player joined after they had set their status to READY but before deployment.   

・Screen Freezing During Matching in Private Rooms 
Fixed a bug where, under certain conditions, canceling the matching process as the host in a private room would cause the guest's game screen to freeze. 

・Issue with Operation Start Circle 
Fixed a bug where multiple players interacting with the same Operation Start Circle simultaneously in a Co-op Room would prevent them from setting their status to "READY.   

・Items Dropping from Enemies That Shouldn't 
Fixed a bug where items that should not drop were appearing as drops when defeating enemy characters. 

・No Reinforcements in Operation 
Fixed a bug, when playing online multiplayer operation where enemy reinforcements would not appear, preventing the operation from being completed. 

・Inability to Progress Due to Added Sentence for Natalia 
Fixed a bug where the screen would darken, preventing progression, when Natalia’s sentence was added in the solitary confinement scene.   

・Certain Operations Repeating Unintentionally 
Fixed a bug where certain special Operations would not disappear from the Operation list after completion, allowing them to be repeatedly played.   

・Equipping Augmentations Beyond Cost Limit 
If a player equips a augmentation that exceeds the cost limit, the augmentation will now be automatically unequipped.   

・Deadly Sinner Icon 
Fixed a bug where the "Deadly Sinner" icon displayed above a player's head was not visible on other players' screens.   

・Ranking Board Update 
Fixed a bug where, immediately after transferring to a new panopticon, information regarding city-state status and the ranking board would not update.   

・Ally Character Behavior Fix 
Fixed a bug during operations where ally characters would exhibit abnormal behavior while carrying citizens.   

・Other Bug Fixes 
Various other bug fixes have been applied.   


■Specification adjustments/changes 
・[Willonite: Minimum Purity] GDPP Value 
The GDPP value earned upon delivering the corresponding item has been changed. 

・Adjustment to Thorn Gauge Consumption During Revival 
When performing a revival by approaching a character, the Thorn Gauge will no longer be consumed. 
Note: If the revival is done by shooting thorns from a distance, the Thorn Gauge will still be consumed as before.   

・Behavior When Colliding with Obstacles While Carrying Citizens 
During Operations, the staggering behavior when colliding with obstacles while carrying citizens has been shortened. 

・Attack Hitbox for Heavy Melee [Mimas] [Caliburn] Type Weapons 
The attack hitbox for the [Power Attack Charge 1] of the Heavy Melee [Mimas] and [Caliburn] type weapons has been adjusted to ensure that the hitbox now matches the visual appearance of the attack. 

・Power Attack Adjustment During Thorn Connection 
The system has been fixed so that when performing a power attack while connected to the Thorn with the Heavy Melee, instead of triggering a special attack that couldn’t be charged, a normal attack that can be charged will now occur. Additionally, performing a power attack during a Thorn connection will now cancel the Thorn connection for all weapons. 

・After a successful Operation, the chat was previously unavailable until the result screen. 
This has been changed, and chat can now be used during the period between a successful operation and the result screen. 

・Regarding the attack judgment of Dionaea's [Dragon Beam] 
Adjustments have been made to the attack hitbox of the [Dragon Beam] fired by the large Abductor Dionaea. 

・Displaying Equipped Items on the Modular Synthesis Screen 
On the Modular Synthesis screen, all modules currently equipped on weapons will now display the [E] mark to indicate they are equipped.   

・Emote Behavior Changes 
Various adjustments have been made to the behavior of emotes, improving their ease of use.


【Upcoming Update Plans】 
The following bugs/specifications will be fixed in future updates. 

・Japanese Character Name Input 
Character and accessory name entry will be updated to allow input in Japanese (Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji).   

・Critical Multiplier for Mutated Weapons 
The critical hits for mutated weapons were occurring at an unintended multiplier, so this will be fixed. 

・Damage Display Issue 
We plan to fix a bug where the effect was not reflected in the damage display even though a defensive augmentation was equipped. 

・Health augmentation Issue 
We plan to fix a bug where the effects of [Health Enhancement] augmentations are not being properly applied in-game. 

・Voice Volume Adjustment 
We will adjust the volume balance to improve audibility, as some in-game voices were difficult to hear in certain situations. 

・Improved stability  
We plan to fix a bug that causes crashes and freezes in certain situations.   

・Other Issues 
We plan to fix and adjust various other bugs and specifications.

Notice about the Crash issues

Notice Regarding Current Issues
We have confirmed the following issues with the Steam version of "FREEDOM WARS Remastered":
Frame rate drops or stuttering during gameplay, unstable operation, or game freezes.
Under certain conditions, the game does not start correctly.
We are currently working on a fix and will provide updates as soon as they become available. In the meantime, you may be able to avoid these issues by taking the following steps:

Issues with Frame Rate Drops and Crashes During Gameplay
If your PC is running Windows Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.2605), we have confirmed issues with instability, such as frame rate drops and game freezes during gameplay. We are currently investigating a fix for this issue.

Issues with Game Not Starting
You may be able to avoid this issue by following these steps:
・Please refer to this FAQ and try the troubleshooting steps provided:

・If this doesn't resolve your issue, please try the following:
 Install the Update for Visual C++ 2013 and Visual C++ Redistributable Package - Microsoft Support updates: Download the "x64.exe" file for your language from the official Microsoft Support page and install it.
 Check if the game's exe file is in the installation folder: Go to Steam Library > Right-click FREEDOM WARS Remastered > Manage > Browse Local Files. Ensure that "START.exe" and "start_protected_game.exe" are present in the folder. If the exe file is not in the folder, it may have been quarantined by your antivirus software. By setting this title as an exception or excluding it from monitoring in your antivirus software, you may be able to restore the exe file.
