Gameplay Patch 1.1

Hello everyone,

It’s almost been a month since the launch of The Rangers in the South, and the support and feedback from the community have been incredibly valuable.

Based on this, I have gathered the best comments and suggestions to develop the first gameplay patch. This update addresses some "urgent" issues affecting the core game experience while also redefining some key mechanics.

What's New


New Currency: Ranger Points
A new currency, "Ranger Points," has been added. These points can be used to purchase persistent upgrades, such as increased inventory space, permanent skill improvements, or starting with more rerolls.

New Death Menu
Upon death, a new menu will be displayed, showing various character statistics: number of enemies defeated, gold obtained, duration of the run, and more. Based on these attributes, a final score will be calculated, which will translate into a certain amount of Ranger Points usable for the next character.

Difficulty Menu
A new menu allows players to select difficulty levels when starting a new character. This system enables adjustments to hunger rate generation, potion disable options, and other factors. Increasing the difficulty will also boost the number of Ranger Points earned at the end of each run. To unlock new difficulty levels, players must defeat the Demon Lord.

Skill Enhancements
All skills can now be upgraded via a new initial menu. Enhancements vary for each skill, from reducing cooldowns to making certain abilities bounce between enemies.

Customization Options
A basic character customization option has been added.

I am very excited about this version as it addresses many of the most common and important player concerns.

-ADDED CONTROLLER KEYBINDING.
-Now kill chains greater than 30 drop a divine coin as reward.

-The level range for enemies to be considered "low level" increased by 2
-Increased forest, desert and mountains enemies hp

-Fixed Dog AI
-Fixed Monsters spawning outside walls on dungeons
-Added a FPS Cap option
-Removed VSync by default and the option to enable it.
-Added more glow to golden animals and improved the divine coins loot radius.
-Fixed a bug where plants will spawn floating.
-Fixed the 5th skill key on controller.
-Added scroll for items on inventory when using controllers (blacksmith)
-Increased all biomes progressive difficulty, except for the Southern Plains and Crater of Hell. All enemies hp and damage has been increased to smooth the difficulty curve.
