Fate of Fire: Kyvedy Guardiah News

Reworked Lives !
Now you have 3 lives when you start a level and the Kyvedy Flame restores one heart each time you use it! The new mechanic is quite fun as you can use the Flame to both kill monsters and restore your life.

A proper Tutorial !
Instead of having the basics explained in the first floor of Guardiah, now each time you start a new adventure you will enter the Tutorial Map for a quick tour of the game dynamics. There you will find NPCs giving you tips and once done you can access Riverguard from the World map any time you want.

[h2]A lot of quality of life improvements[/h2]
In this update I made a lot of improvements to the gameplay and went through any level to fine tune it and make it work with the new mechanics. The result is a game experience less "rogue-like" and more enjoyable as a journey in a fantasy world.

Garland, a mysterious world that can be seen from within the darkness Death has cast in your sky, will be the stage of the events that led to our heroes.. "first date" ?

With 3 brand new levels, wonderful scenes and one book, "Love and Bureaucracy" will let you discover the fate of Garland, the past or our heroes and will pit you against an.. unexpected enemy while you fight your way home.

So prepare your papers and ready your WASD as Bureaucracy will have no mercy !

This update also add one more achievement and.. two "peculiar" new ways to kill humanity... so do your best or do your worst!

[h3]This is the biggest update so far with a total rework of combat and levels.[/h3]
[h3]And the biggest news is the introduction of a new mechanic: The Kyvedy Flame![/h3]



Now killing enemies increases the Kyvedy Flame, when the flame is full lit you will always be revived on death.

But The Kyvedy Flame is not just an extra ress, pressing "F" you can unleash the fire on your enemies making it good for both a tactical defensive style or a more aggressive approach.

New Indicators for attack, stealth and counter attack have been added at the bottom right near the Prism, making it easier for you to understand when your abilities are available and ready to use.

All the levels have been reworked for the new mechanic in all game modes and difficulties.

Go try it yourself as the Guardiah Flame is now unleashed ! ^^

This time combat is under the spotlight.
Thanks to a nice feedback I realized that the combat levels were too hard.
So I decided to address combat and after tinkering I found a new balance and I am satisfied with the result.
Now You die less.. a lot less and the overall combat feels more fluid.
This patch affects only the levels where you can actually die, the rest of the gameplay stays unchanged.
So this is the first patch of the "Argos Blade" and I will publish minor adjustments the next weeks to fit with the new combat.

A little update with some polishing, some art changes and One more level ? Two more books ?

Yes !

There was one level in the Tower that I let out at release. Now finally the time has come to visit "The World Compass" in the sixth floor of Guardiah.

There you will be challenged by Momo's eknosmachines that take care of The World Compass stopping any intruder.

New mechanic !
It time to shine for Roy and Eria and in The World Compass when one of the two heroes is bind by the Eknosmachines you will switch to the other and have a chance to free it. If both are "caught" is game over.

Lore !
Two new books have been added to the library and you will find them in the new level. They talk about The World Compass itself and the past of humanity in the old world ! Why they had to escape ? Find out there !

This update gives me the chance to add images to the books, so that in a near future I could add more in each one.

And this is pretty much all about the update !
