Mechanical Repairs - Garage Levels and the Car Lift
Hey Car Dealers!

Only 2 days left until the release of Car Dealer Simulator!
May 29, 2025, at 7:00 PM CEST - mark your calendars and don’t forget to add the game to your wishlist to get a notification on launch day!

In today’s devlog, we’re diving back into mechanical repairs - a feature that evolves as you upgrade your garage. At the beginning of the game, you’ll have access to basic repairs, but the more you upgrade your workshop, the more complex repairs you’ll be able to perform.

At Garage Level 2, you’ll unlock a car lift, giving you access to a wider range of parts underneath the vehicle.

We’ve divided the car into two repair zones - the top section (accessible through the hood) and the underside (accessible when using the lift).

Thanks to the hint system in repair mode, you’ll easily see which elements can be accessed from which side - using visual highlights and a tooltip that appears when you hover over the part with your mouse.

PS: While you're at it, check out Car Repair and try the free demo from our friends at Little Dog Games.

Repair System - Fuse Replacement
Hey Car Dealers!

Only 3 days left until the release!
In today’s devlog, we’ve got another batch of info about the mechanical repair system. This time, we’re focusing on fuse replacement.

On the scanner report, you’ll notice a section labeled "Fuses." If the percentage shown is lower than 100%, it means that some fuses are either blown or missing.

Once you enter Repair Mode and click on the fuse box, you’ll see their condition - blown fuses or empty slots. Thanks to the highlight system, you’ll know exactly which fuse should go where.

Here’s how it works:

- To remove a fuse, just click on it.
- To insert a new one, click on the appropriate fuse on the right side, then confirm where you want to place it.

You can buy fuses in the shop or at the gas station, so it’s a good idea to always have a few in stock.

Simple, fast, and intuitive - just the way you like it!
See you in just 3 days at launch 🚗

Mechanical Repairs and How They Affect Value and Reputation
Hey Car Dealers!
Only 9 days left until the release of Car Dealer Simulator - the countdown to May 29, 2025 is on!

Today’s devlog kicks off a short series focused on mechanical repairs. Think of it as a mini guidebook to help you understand how to handle them effectively in the game.

Most cars in Car Dealer Simulator are purchased through the classifieds portal. Vehicles come in various conditions, and you can already check key info like visual state and whether the car starts or not directly in the listing.

But to get a detailed technical overview, you’ll need to use the diagnostic scanner.

Once used, the scanner will show you a full report on the condition of every part in the vehicle.

🔧 Pro tip: If you’re out shopping and forget what needed fixing - don’t worry. Just pull out the scanner from the radial menu and press ‘R’ to open the last saved report. Even better, the report updates automatically after every part replacement, so you’re always working with the latest info.

Every repair you make directly affects the market value of the vehicle - the more you fix, the more profit you can earn. And that’s not just about cash.

💼 Your dealer reputation depends on how much profit you make from each sale – the higher the difference between the purchase and sale price, the more reputation points you’ll gain. So smart repairs and good deals really pay off.

In the next entries, we’ll walk you through how to replace specific parts and what to keep an eye on.

See you in the workshop - on May 29, 2025!
