Limited Playtest: Unpacking Mode (Open Beta)

[p]I’m excited to share that starting today we’re releasing a three-day, limited-time open playtest for the new Unpacking Mode! You all have shaped this game so much and I want to continue the practice to not ship a big feature without you having tested it![/p][p][/p][h2]What is Unpacking Mode? 📦[/h2][p][/p][p]Instead of making all decisions yourself, you can play all levels by unpacking surprise boxes! Discover new items as you go, and decide what item fits into which corner the best![/p][p]The idea with this mode is to offer a different play-style, one that is perhaps more relaxing even because you're not choosing every item, but play the levels as small puzzles.[/p][p]I think the new game mode is really fun and I can't wait to hear what you think![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]How to join[/h2][p]Just start the game and find your beta invitation in the main menu 🥳 [/p][p]Or you can right-click on the game in your library -> preferences -> Betas and select the beta branch form the dropdown menu.[/p][p][/p][h2]Feedback[/h2][p]We spent a lot of time refining this mode already, so now is the time to hear your thoughts! Another Hotfix

[p]Edit: [/p][p]I made a mistake in this build and pushed a new update. Make sure you're on the latest one![/p][p]In case your save game got messed up:[/p][p]Open this path: C:\\Users\\YourUserName\\AppData\\Local\\SmallSpaces\\Saved\\SaveGames[/p][p]Then delete the SaveGameRelease.sav file and rename the Temp file to SaveGameRelease.sav then start the game. Hope this works, otherwise comment here or on Discord :)[/p][p][/p][p]Original Post (lol):[/p][p]Some players encountered a game breaking bug when trying to start a level. Sorry! Is fixed now :)[/p]

Balcony Hotfix

[p]The tiny house levels were missing the balcony category. Fixed that :)[/p]

Fixes & DLSS Implementation

[h2]Just a small update in between[/h2]
  • [p]DLSS, FSR and XeSS are now implemented, improving general performance and quality of the upscaling. Excited to hear your feedback![/p]
  • [p]Lamps were not looking great since the last update. This is now fixed. In Ray Tracing, lamps still are not perfect and we're trying to find a better solution.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed some smaller issues[/p]
[p]Hope this update makes the game just a bit better. Super excited to ship the next bigger updates soon![/p]

Hotfix Autumn Update

  • [p]Added step of shader compilation to avoid game crashes on startup[/p]
  • [p]Ability to reset settings (do this if your game is lagging badly out of nowhere)[/p]
  • [p]Fix Ray Tracing button in the settings being disabled[/p]
  • [p]Added instructions for using backup files in case save game can’t be found[/p]
  • [p]Some other bugfixes[/p]
