Three characters from the "Atelier" series are joining the battle!

We are proud to release an update for the popular roguelite Warriors action game "WARRIORS: Abyss" (available on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam®) featuring three characters from our “Atelier” series with additional DLC for various costumes, available today March 28th, 2025.

In this free update, Sophie from the “Atelier Sophie” series, Ryza from “Atelier Ryza” series, and Yumia from “Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land” are added as new heroes. Each hero has their own unique special abilities so depending on your build the range of strategies available to you will expand.

Additionally, we are offering DLC that allows you to use Yumia, Ryza, and Sophie in different outfits from usual. The “Atelier Series Vacation Costume Set" and the "Atelier Series Academy Costume Set" are now available. Enjoy battles with a fresh twist, thanks to these unique and vibrant costumes.

Release Version Update (Ver. 1.2.0 on Mar. 28, 2025)

New Features
- New heroes Sophie, Ryza and Yumia have been added to the game!
- 7 tracks have been added to Music in the Collection, all unlocked from the start.
- We have added a Download Content option to the Great Hall.
- Update information can be viewed from the pause menu.
- At the War Banner of the King where you select heroes for your formation, a boost icon now displays to show which heroes are affected by the currently selected hero's Unique Tactics.
The boost icon displays yellow for heroes who activate the Unique Tactic and gray for those who do not.
For example, if your current selection is a hero with the Unique Tactic "Increases Attack by 50% for heroes with the "Wei" Emblem," the boost icon will display for heroes with the Wei Emblem.
- We have adjusted the hero display order in the Hero List tab of the Status Menu. Also, it now shows the slot number of heroes in your Formation.
- We have adjusted the order of Effect Upgrades and Unique Tactics in the Activation Effects tab of the Status Menu. In addition, slot numbers will now be displayed for the Unique Tactics of heroes in your current Formation.
- You can now check information on heroes you added to your Formation from the Formation tab in the Status Menu.
- At the War Banner of the King, we have added an option to revert to the previous Formation after selecting "Enma's Recommended Formation."
- You can now display hero descriptions on the "Select Hero to Play" screen.
- We have added an option allowing players to select their preferred output monitor.
This setting can be changed under Graphics Settings in the Options menu.

Adjustments/Improvements
- After using a Crystal Sapling, you can interact with it again if you possess Crystal Beads.
- A treasure chest icon now displays in the top right of the screen in phases where missions appear.
- Music in the Collection now displays the name of the track that is playing.
- When acquiring treasure, you will now see a checkmark displayed by any treasures you have acquired in the past.
- We have adjusted the hero display order in the Play Records screen.
- On the Effect Upgrades screen, the cursor now loops when moved to the top or bottom.

- We have increased the amount of extra Karma Embers acquired when playing as a hero in the Bonus State.
- Formations you have not yet unlocked at the Hall of Bonded Souls will appear at the King's Cauldrons in an unpurchasable condition.
- Formations you have unlocked at the Hall of Bonded Souls now appear in treasure chests as rewards for completing missions.
- At Traversal Level 3 and above, Danger Zones now include Sin Spewers, whose projectiles cannot be destroyed with attacks.
- Level boss "Onigashira" now has a smaller barrier gauge.
- Hitting a level boss with a Charge Attack while they are glowing yellow now deals damage to their barrier.
- We have increased the chance of acquiring a Unique Weapon from treasure chests.
- We have adjusted the way Enma's Recommended Formation is calculated.
- We have adjusted the visual effects of Xu Shu and Motonari Mori's summoning skills.
- We have adjusted the screen shake during Cao Ren's Charge Attack 1.
- You can now unleash a Musou Attack during the following attacks:

- We have also fixed a bug that prevents you from selecting a Formation when you use "Enma's Recommended Formation" while Total Battle Power exceeds the display limit.
- Under Audio in the Options menu, we have moved the enemy voice category from "Voice Volume" to "SFX Volume."
We have also made it possible to set louder volumes for "Voice Volume," "SFX Volume" and "BGM Volume." The default volume for these three settings is now set to 80.
If you feel the background music is too quiet during gameplay, try raising BGM Volume and lowering Voice Volume and SFX Volume.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where the application would occasionally crash when playing as Chen Gong.
- Fixed an effect bug that would occur when using Sima Yi's Unique Weapon.
- Fixed the behavior of attacks that diverge from the first part of Kunoichi's Hyper Attack.
- Fixed an issue where the extra damage caused to enemies knocked into the air by Zhang Liao's Unique Weapon was not of the Bolt Attribute as intended.
- Fixed a bug where summoning slot 6 could be used while Lu Lingqi is using Assemble attack.
- Fixed an occasional bug where enemies would enter a formation set up with Xun Yu's Unique Action but take no damage from the attack that causes it to explode after a certain period.
- Fixed a bug where it was possible to use Ma Chao's Charge 5 EX Attack before acquiring the effect "Unlock Attack Actions 3."
- Fixed a bug where performing a Quick Summon while floating with Wang Yuanji's Charge Attack 4 would stop this action.
- Fixed a bug where the spheres of the Protective Star effect would temporarily show up overlapping.
- Fixed a bug where the Protective Star effect would not follow some of the player hero's actions.
- Fixed a bug where Cumulative Level would rise by 1 upon return to the Great Hall, despite having never levelled up once in battle.
- Fixed a bug that occasionally prevented the game from showing up on the main display when launching the application.
- Fixed a bug that occasionally did not display information on top of enemies' head.
- Fixed an error in the effect description of Sima Yi's Unique Weapon in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish.
- Removed an unnecessary part of the Korean description of Liu Bei's Unique Weapon traits.
- Changed the French term for the special emblem "Talent" to "Aptitude."
- Made various other minor bug fixes and improvements.

Release Version Update (Ver. 1.1.0 on Feb. 25, 2025)

New Features
- Added the heroes Sima Shi, Sima Zhao, Zhong Hui, Zhang Chunhua, and Wang Yuanji. As a result, Sima Yi's category has been changed to "Jin."
- Added the option "View Available Heroes" when selecting heroes to form alliances with at Crystal Saplings, enabling players to check which heroes might appear when they reroll.
- Made it possible to move to other pages using the left/right inputs in vertical lists.
- Made changes so that characters can now rotate toward the cursor when attacking via mouse click. This feature can be enabled with the "Attack in the direction of the cursor" option in the Controls page of the Options menu.
- Made changes to prevent the cursor from moving outside the game screen.

Adjustments/Improvements
- Made changes to include attributes (Flame/Ice) for certain Charge Attacks and Musou Attacks from the start for the following heroes:
Zhou Yu, Sun Jian, Zhuge Liang, Ling Tong, Yukimura Sanada, Shingen Takeda, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Yoshitomo Imagawa, Ieyasu Tokugawa, Mitsunari Ishida, Katsuie Shibata, Ujiyasu Hojo, Takatora Todo, Nobuyuki Sanada, and Naomasa Ii
- Made adjustments to link follow-up attacks even when evading during Hyper Attacks.
- Adjusted the size of attack indicators for some of Gouma's attacks.
- Made adjustments so that enemies will no longer move during the finishing move of Formation Attacks.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug preventing some of the player hero's attacks from linking together after evading.
- Fixed a bug causing some of the player hero's attacks to disappear when evading.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes shifted character positions when the player hero linked attacks after evading.
- Fixed a bug causing some player hero attacks to continue automatically even without any input after evading.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the camera to jump when the player hero was pushed by an enemy.
- Improved the appearance of the following attacks when playing the Steam version at 30FPS: Gan Ning's Musou Attacks and some of Kanetsugu Naoe's Charge Attacks.
- Fixed a bug preventing attributes temporarily granted to the player hero's normal attacks from being reflected in attack trails.
- Fixed a bug preventing the pulling effect of the upgraded Summoning Skill "Cleaving Blade (Absorb)" or the Summoning Skill "War God's Cry" from being activated when using quick summon.
- Fixed a bug that would temporarily prevent ground-based attacks from landing hits in certain cases when playing the Steam version at 30FPS.
- Fixed a bug causing enemies knocked away during Assemble to become stuck in the ground.
- Fixed a bug in which Zhou Yu's and Katsuie Shibata's Musou Attacks did not stagger enemies.
- Fixed a bug causing Liu Bei's weapon to detach during his EX Attacks.
- Fixed a bug causing Hanbei Takenaka's Normal Attack 6 to be unleashed automatically without any input when the Effect Upgrade "Unlock Attack Actions 2" was activated.
- Fixed a bug preventing summoned soldiers from appearing when Chen Gong's Charge Attack 5 was followed by an evasion and linked EX Attack.
- Fixed a bug preventing the Effect Upgrade "Increase Range" from being applied to the attacks of soldiers summoned by Chen Gong's Charge Attacks.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented the explosion from Xun Yu's Charge Attack 1, his Unique Action, from hitting enemies running within the Formation.
- Fixed a bug causing enemies hit by Xun Yu's Charge Attack 1 to move in slow motion.
- Fixed a bug where, if Meng Huo evaded before his weapon shifted into a mushroom during Charge Attack 5, then it would revert to a stone pillar following his linked EX Attack.
- Fixed a bug resulting in unnatural movements for Lu Xun's clone during Charge Attacks.
- Fixed a bug causing the tornado from Hideyoshi Toyotomi's Charge Attack 2 to follow him around.
- Made Xingcai's Charge 5 EX Attack flow more smoothly.
- Fixed a bug where linking an attack after evading at the start of Huang Gai's Charge Attack 6 would result in an attack with no hitbox.
- Fixed a bug causing Dong Zhuo's Summoning Skill "Meteor Strike (Flame)" to appear in the wrong location.
- Fixed a bug causing Mitsuhide Akechi's and Kunoichi's Normal Attack 6 to be unleashed when the Effect Upgrade "Unlock Attack Actions 1" had not been activated.
- Fixed a bug where the Level Boss would occasionally lose sight of the character.
- Fixed a bug where the gameplay records "Unique Weapons Acquired" and "Heroes Who Have Defeated Gouma" did not include heroes made available through DLC.
- Fixed a bug causing heroes made available through DLC to be displayed in gray in the Heroes tab of the gameplay records.
- Fixed a bug where the Unique Tactic for increasing Status Infliction would redundantly affect the Total Battle Power.
- Fixed a bug where acquiring the Effect Upgrade "Double Musou Gauge" did not affect the Total Battle Power.
- Fixed a bug where the background of the results screen would not display correctly.
- Corrected errors in the description of Xiaoqiao's Unique Tactics in French and German.
- Made other minor bug fixes and improvements.

Jin Dynasty characters from the DYNASTY WARRIORS series now available!

An update for the recently released WARRIORS x ROGUELITE action game, WARRIORS: Abyss, has been released. This update includes additional Jin Dynasty characters from the "DYNASTY WARRIORS" series. Paid downloadable content featuring a variety of costumes is also available.

In this free update, five new Jin Dynasty heroes from the "DYNASTY WARRIORS" series have been released: "Sima Shi," "Sima Zhao," "Wang Yuanji," "Zhong Hui," and "Zhang Chunhua."



Each hero possesses unique characteristics, allowing for a broader range of strategies through different combinations.

Additionally, the “DYNASTY WARRIORS Jin Dynasty Classic Costume Set” is a paid DLC which includes 19 nostalgic costumes for the five Jin Dynasty characters. These costumes feature fantasy-style outfits from "DYNASTY WARRIORS 7" and special costumes from "WARRIORS OROCHI 4." Enjoy battles with a fresh look through these unique costumes!

Warriors: Abyss (PS5) Review


I’m not ashamed to admit I’m a big fan of Dynasty Warriors. Every time Koei Tecmo and Omega Force team up, I can’t help but jump back into the Warriors universe to see how the 1 vs. 100 gameplay has innovated. For February, a surprising roguelike is on the menu featuring instantly recognizable characters from both Dynasty and Samurai Warriors rosters. Warriors: Abyss was surprisingly announced and released this week, and it drags fan-favourite heroes to the depths of hell to do what they do best: commit murder in the thousands.
