We've heard some of our players encountered issues during gameplay, and we've just pushed a small update to address some of the issues.

[h2]Undying Flower v1.0.1[/h2]

🛠 Bug fixes:

• Prevented auto-save during the journal tutorial to fix uncontrollable player bug when user reload the save data from the main menu
  
• Disabled move between memory points during journal tutorial
  
• Fixed Nala stands on a wrong position when changing Memory Point at a certain moment
  
• Fixed Nala visibility & positioning that blocks a text when simulating memory manipulation
  
• Fixed a text bug in one of the diorama when simulating memory manipulation
  
• Fixed where certain cutscenes run improperly during the second playthrough
  
• Fixed Comet in Mummyland song from being repeated
  
• Fixed wrong dialogue in near ending (Nala dialogue shown as grandpa dialogue)
  
• Fixed a misspelling in the credits
  
• Fixed a minor font issue in Option's resolutions text
  
• Fixed where some tutorial texts turned black during the second playthrough
  

🛠 Quality Improvements:

• Improved good ending music quality
  
• Minor rendering optimization
  
• Improved reflection quality on high settings, and improved reflection performance on low settings
  

🛠 Known Issues:

• In a very low performance device, black screen can appear after interacting with a Memory Fragment. In this case, the game must be reloaded from the main menu.
  
• In a very rare instance the water reflection on certain scene flickered and emitted very bright light. To temporarily fix it, change the screen resolution to any other resolution. Once it's resolved, you can switch back to your original resolution.

For those who played our demo, the book may already be a familiar sight. After all, it’s the first thing being shown in the game. As we approach the launch date, we’ll get to open this book again, starting from the middle pages, in a chapter called Undying Flower.

[h2]The Concept Behind 📖[/h2]



Starting with this main concept, every following detail is then carefully thought of, from the cover to its content. The carnation in the water, the two suns surrounding it, and even the art on the pages inside the book aren’t there by chance. They’re tied to the journey within the game. As for why we start from the middle pages, that is something you may or may not find eventually.

The book opens every time the game starts, and closes at the end of the story. Before it closes, it will react based on our journey throughout the game.

To express and visualize the surreal theme of Undying Flower, special effects play a crucial role.


One of the special effects that is shown a lot in many scenes is the Aurora effect. It represents the branches of memory that The Flower has seen during her journey.


[h2]Aurora That Lives 🌌[/h2]
We wanted the aurora's movement to feel alive. To achieve that, we created the effect using high poly mesh and a little bit of trigonometry to create the wavy movement with a controllable intensity. The intensity will dynamically change based on the music playing in the background.
