Hello, this is JANG, the Executive Producer of Game of Thrones: Kingsroad.
Thanks to your continued interest and active participation,
Season 2: Highgarden Grand Festival has come to a successful close. We are deeply grateful to all of you who continue to support and enjoy
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad.[/p][p] [/p][p]As we get ready to move onto
Season 3: Light and Shadow, players will face the tension between the radiant promises of purification and the hidden truths that lie in the shadows.[/p][p] [/p][p]This developer note provides a first look at the major updates and improvements planned for Season 3.[/p][p] [/p]

[p] [/p]
🛠️ IMPROVEMENTS
[p]
[/p]
1. RP System
[p] [/p][p]The RP System has long been one of the most frequently requested improvements from the community. Alongside ongoing efforts to expand content that doesn’t consume RP, Season 3 will introduce additional changes to make field content more flexible and rewarding. These updates will give players more freedom and choice in how they engage with content.[/p][p] [/p][p]Starting in Season 3,
first-clear rewards for field content will no longer consume RP. In addition, players will have the option to spend RP or not upon completing content.[/p][p] [/p][p]🔹 Spending RP will grant the usual rewards.[/p][p]🔸 Choosing not to spend RP will still allow players to earn Regional Currency and engage with the content.[/p][p] [/p][p]The development team will continue to monitor the RP system and explore further improvements based on player feedback going forward.[/p][p] [/p]
2. World Boss Ranking Contribution
[p] [/p][p]Starting in Season 3, the minimum contribution requirement for all World Bosses will be
lowered from 1% damage to 0.1%.[/p][p] [/p][p]As players have grown stronger with each update, the time required to defeat World Bosses has steadily decreased. To ensure that more players can take part and earn rewards, the contribution threshold will be adjusted starting this season.[/p][p] [/p][p]With this change, even brief participation will now qualify for rewards, making World Boss battles more accessible and easier to participate in.[/p][p] [/p]
3. Ranged Combat Improvements
[p] [/p][p]Ranged combat will receive several key updates in Season 3.[/p][p] [/p][p]Previously, after each shot, characters would lower their weapon as if reloading before aiming again. Starting next season, aim will remain active between shots, allowing for a smoother and more immersive combat experience.[/p][p] [/p][p]In addition, combat controls in ranged mode will also be improved. Players will be able to perform quick dodges and rolls even while aiming, providing greater flexibility and responsiveness in battle.[/p][p] [/p]
4. Training Grounds
[p] [/p][p]Many players have requested a dedicated space to practice and improve combat skills. In Season 3, the Training Grounds will be introduced to meet this need.[/p][p] [/p][p]The Training Grounds will provide a safe environment to hone mastery and enjoy the process of growth, allowing practice of character controls and skill combos without pressure. Features such as unlimited rage, instant skill cooldown resets, and more will let players experiment freely across a variety of scenarios.[/p][p] [/p][p]Additionally, the Training Grounds will offer practical combat data like DPS, enabling intuitive comparisons and analysis. Setups can be freely adjusted, giving players the flexibility to train in a style that best suits them.[/p][p] [/p]
5. Artifact System
[p]Starting in Season 3, the Artifact system will undergo the following improvements. [/p][p][/p][p]
\[Artifact Growth UI Improvements][/p][p]Season 3 will introduce updates to the Artifact UI, making the growth and management of Artifacts more intuitive.[/p][p] [/p][p]Effects that were previously applied based on conditions will become easier to understand, and players will be able to directly click to apply Collection Effects based on levels, providing a clearer sense of progression.[/p][p] [/p][p]Passive stat increases tied to Collection Effects levels will be more easily visible, and players will be able to preview the specific stats granted by higher levels. These improvements will allow players to quickly grasp all relevant information about Artifact growth, making the overall progression process more transparent and easier to follow.[/p][p] [/p][p]
\[Artifact Enhancement Adjustments][/p][p]In addition, the stat bonuses applied at each total enhancement stage will be slightly increased, and any individual Artifacts that exceed 100% enhancement will also be reflected in passive stats.[/p][p] [/p]
6. Kraken - Damage Inflicted Rankings Removed
[p] [/p][p]In Season 3, the Damage Inflicted Rankings for the Altar of Lost Memories: Kraken will be removed.[/p][p] [/p][p]Rewards that were previously distributed based on damage inflicted will now be allocated through Clear Time rankings, ensuring that rewards better reflect overall performance in the encounter. This change is intended to provide a fairer and more consistent way for players to earn rewards while still rewarding skill and strategy.[/p][p] [/p]

[p]
[/p]
🌓 SEASON 3
[p]
[/p]
1. Season 3: Light and Shadow
[p] [/p][p]
Purification carried out in the name of light, the truths concealed behind it, and the deep darkness cast by persecution in the name of faith.[/p][p] [/p][p]Players will be tasked by Stannis Baratheon to investigate the disappearance of a young noble in the Stormlands. What appears to be a simple missing-person case is anything but. Beneath the surface lies a tangled web of religious and political tensions involving supporters of Renly Baratheon, followers of the Faith of the Seven, Stannis’ loyalists, and heretical priests of R’hllor.[/p][p] [/p][p]Your character’s mission will focus on uncovering the true nature of the so-called “purification,” revealing the distorted beliefs that have been used to justify it, and exposing the hidden truths that have long been shrouded in darkness.[/p][p] [/p]
2. New Altar of Memories: Basilisk
[p] [/p][p]The Basilisk is a monstrous creature resembling a massive lizard, with an elongated snout lined with razor-sharp teeth capable of swallowing prey whole.[/p][p] [/p][p]Native to swamps and jungle regions, its potent venom has long been associated with political assassinations. In battle, the Basilisk will wield a unique ability to alter its appearance, introducing an unpredictable challenge for those who face it.[/p][p] [/p][p]Beginning with Season 3, the new Altar of Memories: Basilisk will become available, offering Tier 5 legendary equipment as a wish reward. To obtain it, the cumulative clear count requirement will increase by 8, bringing the total to 16, encouraging deeper engagement with the content.[/p][p] [/p]
3. Altar of Memories Level Scaling and Wait Time

[p]With the recent introduction of the Giant Ice Spider Hard Mode, Season 3 will expand Hard Mode to all Altars of Memories.[/p][p] [/p][p]Hard Mode bosses will feature distinct appearances from their normal difficulty counterparts and will introduce new combat patterns, offering players fresh and more formidable encounters.[/p][p] [/p][p]Additionally, responding to community feedback, Season 3 will also implement a short start delay for Altar of Memories battles, ensuring fair competition across different player environments.[/p][p] [/p]
4. World Level 3

[p]World Level 3 will be introduced in an update following the start of Season 3. As noted in our previous developer note, players can expect higher drop rates for Tier 6 legendary materials compared to World Levels 1 and 2.[/p][p] [/p][p]This new difficulty will pit players against stronger enemies, offering both greater challenges and the chance to claim the most coveted rewards.[/p][p] [/p]

[p]
[/p]
✨ FUTURE UPDATES
[p]
[/p]
1. Content Preview
[p] [/p][p]Our most recent survey reaffirmed that players are eager for main story expansions, multiplayer content, and a variety of special events.[/p][p] [/p][p]In response, Season 3 will introduce Hard Mode for all pre-existing Altar of Memories bosses alongside the new Basilisk, as already mentioned above. On the event side, several unique initiatives are also planned.[/p][p] [/p][p]We would also like to tease a fun new event coming in Season 3. In the "
One More Drink!" event, players will be able to obtain and drink special beverages from all over Westeros. These drinks provide not only helpful combat buffs, but also a special effect upon consumption.[/p][p] [/p][p]Beyond this, a variety of additional events are in development to enrich adventures across Westeros, with detailed updates to follow in future announcements.[/p][p] [/p][p]Most importantly, we’d like to share more about the highly anticipated new main story and Altar of Lost Memories content.[/p][p] [/p]
2. Firewyrm
[p] [/p][p]The Firewyrm, the next boss for the Altar of Lost Memories, will be added in an update planned for November.[/p][p] [/p][p]According to old tales, the Firewyrm was a wingless dragon subspecies that inhabited the Fourteen Flames in Valyria. Though it has no wings, it shares the fearsome appearance of a dragon and moves skillfully underground, making it a deadly and unpredictable foe.[/p][p] [/p][p]Defeating the Firewyrm will demand unprecedented levels of strategy and teamwork from raiding parties.[/p][p] [/p][p]In this developer note, we’re offering a first glimpse of the Firewyrm in its current stage of development.[/p][p] [/p][p]
