Issue with the game epilogue

[p]For some players, after reaching turn 100, not all epilogue videos that show the further fate of the characters are displayed. Depending on the decisions made, there can be between 13 and 17 such videos.[/p][p]These scenes reveal what happened to the key characters: Lynn, all faction advisors, the investigator, your spouse, and several others. If even one of them is missing from the epilogue, this is a bug.[/p][p]Most likely, the issue is caused by the save file being too old. New players and fresh playthroughs do not encounter this problem. I am currently looking for possible solutions and have an idea involving save file migration.[/p][p]If you have experienced this issue, please leave a comment and indicate the month when you started your current playthrough.[/p]

The final Act IV of The Succession of Changing Kings has been released

[p]Citizens of Valendor![/p][p]The final Act IV of The Succession of Changing Kings has been released. The full game is now available; however, as I mentioned in my previous post, I am not rushing to press the “Leave Early Access” button.[/p][p]Over the next 2–3 weeks, I will be collecting your feedback on typos, bugs, any issues you encounter, as well as your suggestions.[/p][p]Please note the following:[/p]
  1. [p]In the Russian and English versions, only “Voiceover 2” is currently available, which means machine-generated voiceover. The voice actors are actively working, and an update with the familiar voices of Sergey Maisky and Wolenard will be released soon.[/p]
  2. [p]Unfortunately, the Korean language for Act IV is not ready yet. It will be added in the coming days.[/p]
  3. [p]Several new map effects have been added to the previous acts.[/p]
  4. [p]A new building, “Irrigation of fields,” has been added.[/p]
  5. [p]The balance of a number of quests and events has been adjusted.[/p]
[p]I am deeply grateful to all of you for your support and kind words. This is my first project, and I was very unsure of my abilities, but your feedback, suggestions, and encouragement inspired me to keep going and to make more games. Thank you for being with me in Valendor![/p]

3 Days Until Act IV Release: Project Plans

[p]On January 31, the final Act IV of the game will be released. You will finally stop being a dauphin and become a full-fledged king. Of course, on your way to the throne, you will die many times. Many, many times.[/p]
  • [p]That said, on January 31 I will not press the button to leave Early Access. As usual, for the first 2- 3 weeks I will be collecting your feedback and comments. No matter how thoroughly I test the game on my own, typos, bugs, and logical inconsistencies always come up. So if you do not want to become an unwitting beta tester, it is better to jump into the game around February 15. But if you do want to help hunt for issues, you are welcome to take the throne on January 31.[/p]
  • [p]About translations. For each language there is a translator and a separate proofreading stage, but this process progresses very unevenly across languages. Proofreading is still ongoing, especially for Korean, as it was added last. If you play in English or Russian, there is a high chance that by January 31 everything will already be fine in terms of text. For other languages, fixes will definitely continue to be made.[/p]
  • [p]The same applies to voiceovers. In the Russian and English versions there are two options: professional voice acting and machine-generated voiceover. The machine version has been ready for a long time, while the human voice acting may be delayed for some individual quests.[/p]
  • [p]I still have several unfulfilled promises, namely optimization for Steam Deck and translations into Chinese and Japanese. All of this will be done. My top priority will be Steam Deck support.[/p][p]And finally: the game is currently available with a 25% discount, which will last until February 2. The next discount period will be in March.[/p]

The Succession of Changing Kings in Chris Zukowski’s Best Games of 2025

[p]Hi everyone! Are you waiting for Act IV? There’s not much time left.
In the meantime, let me brag just a little.[/p][p]In the US, there is a very well-known figure in Steam marketing, Chris Zukowski. You can often see him as a guest expert on major GameDev channels, and he also runs HowToMarketAGame, a website considered a must-read for English-speaking developers.[/p][p]Recently, Chris published his list of the best games of 2025. And yes, drumroll please.
The Succession of Changing Kings made that list.[/p][p]For such a small indie studio, this is a huge vote of confidence.[/p][p]In the next few days, I will also publish a separate post about my plans for The Succession of Changing Kings after release. Development will not stop once the game is out, even though I am already working on two more projects.[/p]
