Implemented a fix for the loss of progress after a system shutdown

Hello, it's a-me, the evil CEO of the Amarillo Spicy Corporation.

After testing for a bit in the beta branch, I am implementing a fix for the data loss after a sudden system shutdown. If this doesn't solve that issue, feel free to leave a bad review for the game calling me names.

I am also making my life easier and not adding any new achievements.

Things to look forward in the next updates:
 • Slap Shop: buy backgrounds and decorations with your slaps
 • New Slap Multiplier upgrade
 • Hand skins: buy different hand models using AMACoin
 • Butt Exchange: sell your repeated Butts for AMACoin

As always, report your issues to me here in the comments or in the Steam discussions and I'll do my best to help.

Should I add new achievements?

I don't believe there's an official way to create a poll here on Steam, so I'll just open this Ask Me Anything type of post/event for you to express your thoughts on this.

Here are the achievements I'm planning to add:
20 000 000 Slaps

200 000 000 Slaps

CLINICALLY INSANE
This one will require the previous Wipe achievement "WHAT HAVE I DONE" to be unlocked. Similar to the other, it will be granted to you if you wipe your progress at 1 billion slaps (more on this below).
Slap on Halloween
A seasonal one for the remainder of the Halloween event. The idea with this one is that you'll be able to get it in the future even if you miss it this year. I could create more achievements for other seasonal events as well.
New planned upgrade: Slap Multiplier
This will make the new Slap achievements much more reasonable to get. With everything maxed out, reaching 1 billion slaps will take 14 hours. This is very attainable for those who let the game run frequently to get their crate drops.

Let me know how that sounds to you. Genuinely didn't expect some people to be annoyed by it. At the end of the day it would be easier for me not to add new achievements at all.

Potential fix for players losing progress and new achievements - Beta branch

Hello, people living inside my computer.

I have pushed an update to the game that tries to address the issue some people have been dealing with after a power outage or a sudden crash. For those losing all their progress after this, I sincerely apologize and hope that this fixes it. There is really no way that I can personally reproduce and test this bug, as it only happens to some people and not others. Me being just a guy with a funny hat, can't really do much to really investigate what is happening. But I can try!

I'm first publishing this patch in the Beta branch of the game beacuse dealing with save files is a very delicate matter. If I don't get reports of data loss or other issues here, I'll move this build into the main branch.

I am also adding 3 new achievements and one new set of upgrades. These will only be obtainable for beta testers until I set this build live for everybody.

Edit:

I have updated the beta build with improved Slap Multiplier upgrade values. With every upgrade maxed out, you should be able to reach 1 billion slaps in a little under 14 hours of continuous slapping, which divided along many play sessions shouldn't be too difficult.

Community Market bots

Hey there, community of badasses.

I woke up today with the seemingly good news that the game had reached a new peak in player count of 110K. That was very exciting at first, but then I came to realize that it was most likely bots looking to make a quick profit by ruining the market for everybody else.

I have made both Butt Crates and Spooky Butt Crates temporarily untradable. I will hear your feedback on this if this does affect regular players negatively. Although you can still buy and sell them in the market, my hope is that this will make it harder for bots to move high volumes of Crates between accounts.

I'll be here monitoring things and listening to your feedback.
Edit:
MY FELLOW SLAPPERS, WE GOT 'EM

SteamDB was even cool enough to add a marker with the fix I just implemented. As you can see, we are back to our true numbers. 2000 real, true slappers.

YOU MAKE ME PROUD.

Let's now hope we can keep the bots at bay for a good while.
