Gleambow Racing!

Starting on December 28th at 6 AM CST (12 PM GMT), Gleambow Racing will return.

What is Gleambow Racing?

This limited-time event rewards speed and skill as Citizens chase down unique Gleambow Meteorites made of colorful natural blocks. You’ll need a special Gleambow Totem to destroy these Blocks - craftable in a Workbench. It’s a great chance to gather unique rewards with which to decorate your Build.

Once you’re done chasing Gleambows, kick back in your Beacon and Craft the decorative props just for this event. Don’t forget to head to the Exchange, where you can pick up a Gleambow wearable or two.

How does Gleambow Racing work?

On Rugged and Inhospitable Lush worlds, all Meteorites are replaced by Gleambow Meteorites. A Gleambow is a unique type of meteorite made from natural Blocks in various colors. They can be identified by their spectacular multicolored trails. If you’re lucky, you may even find a pure Gleam or Glass Gleambow. Fancy!

Once a Gleambow touches down, you’ll only have a short time before its Blocks adopt the natural colors of the World. Sprint, Grapple, Warp, slide, leap, swim, and Buff your way across the landscape before it’s too late.

You’ll need specialized Tools to break your way through those super-tough Gleambow Blocks. A Gleambow Totem will do the trick, so make sure to get hold of one (or more). While you’re at it, keep an eye out for some strangely colorful Cuttletrunks, aptly known as Gleamtrunks, who’ll try to make life difficult. Don’t ignore them! You might find their pickings useful for your next race and more.

New to Gleambow Racing, like the Monumental team? Don’t worry; Jiivita has you covered with an excellent video rundown.

Tweak your Skills, grab your Gleambow Totem, and down a Speed Brew - ready, set, Gleambow! Gleambow will end on January 11th at 6 AM CST (12 PM GMT).

Oortmas is Coming!!!

Tis the Boundless Season! Join in on the festivities starting December 15, 2022, at 6 AM CST (noon GMT). The forecasters are predicting The Known Worlds of Boundless will be experiencing snowy conditions, and reports of the local wildlife wrapped up warm in their traditional Oortmas hats.

For those of you who have yet to be visited by the Ghost of Oortmas past, let’s recap just how the Boundless universe changes over the holiday season. Those festive Oortmas creatures will drop extra-special Green Candy Canes. These are then used to craft decorative Gift Boxes and festive Oortmas trees to decorate your builds.

Snowball Meteorites 101

For the duration of the Winter Event, special Snowball Fight Meteorites will occur on Starter Worlds. Rather than a regular strike, a giant Snowball will crash to the surface of the World, bringing with it a swarm of special Snow Spitters, which will launch their chilly projectiles at Citizens and are impervious to regular Weapons.

You’ll have to fight snow with snow! Gather enough Ice from the Meteorite to Handcraft a Bag of Snowballs, and give the icy critters everything you’ve got! These will do direct damage to one target and are only effective against Snow Spitters. There will also be no Defeat Penalty on these events, with Players instead building up ‘embarrassment’ from being hit before heading to the sanctum having lost their ‘Meteorite Life.’ As well as Red Candy Canes, the rewards for these Snowball Fights include Food, Brews, and Gifts. Poorly behaved Citizens may end up with Coal…

What else is coming?

Red Candy Canes are used to craft Snow Citizens and Twinkles, giving your beacon some festive cheer for the winter. Not forgetting the ever-loveable Oortmas Oorty will be craftable once again!

Elsewhere, our previous Oortmas wearables are back in exchange for two weeks only, with the Father Oortmas beards, with the Oortmas Hat, and three designs of Winter Scarf all returning from last year, and 2018’s Rudolph the Red-Nosed Wildstock antlers and Snow Citizen mask joining them on sale once again.

You’ll also want to keep an eye out for special Candy Seeds, which are planted to grow the Candy Totem tool as a crop, an Oortmas miracle!

There’s a lot to see and do at Oortmas, and we can’t wait to experience it with you! Oortmas won’t be around for long; you’ll have two weeks to enjoy the festivities (end date December 29 AM, 6 AM CST (noon GMT).

Update Notes: December 7th

Today at 3 PM CST (9 PM GMT), we are updating the PC and Mac, clients. This is a small step in Monumental taking over Boundless (still continuing ) and our first change players. While these updates seem small, it’s a significant accomplishment for us! The following changes have been made:

  • The Splash Screen has been updated, and the Monumental logo added
  • EULA has been updated to Monumental
  • Copyright Updated for Monumental ownership

Boundless Halloween Event 2022!

Hello Citizens!

It's October, and we know it's almost time for the Boundless Halloween event featuring Spooky Seeds, Scary Lanterns, and the Halloween Mask!

Starting Monday, October 24th at 7 AM CDT (Noon UTC), the Halloween Event will begin! Look for Spooky Seeds dropping from various plants in the game, and these can be used in recipes to craft Skull and Pumpkin lanterns, and you can get the Halloween Mask from The Exchange!

The Halloween event will end on Monday, November 7th, at 7 AM CDT (Noon UTC). The seeds will no longer drop, and the Halloween Mask will disappear from The Exchange! If you still have some seeds after the event ends, don’t worry; you’ll still be able to craft the Lanterns.

Sharpen your axes; we’ve got some Spooky Seeds to hunt!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Oortmas!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. There’ll be Cuttletrunks honking and meteorites glowing when group hunts are near!

Boundless will be getting into the festive mood from 1200 UTC on the 17th December for two weeks, ending on the 31st December. The Known Worlds of Boundless will be experiencing seasonally-appropriate snowy conditions, and the local wildlife will be wrapping up warm in their traditional Oortmas hats.

For those of you who have yet to be visited by the Ghost of Oortmas past, let’s recap just how the Boundless universe changes over the holiday season. Those Oortmas creatures will drop extra-special Green Candy Canes. These are then used to craft decorative Gift Boxes, and festive Oortmas trees with which to decorate your builds.

What’s new for 2020?

As always, we have some new props to share this year. We have two brand new festive centrepieces with which you can decorate your beacons - Roasted Spitter for the meat eaters, and an Earthyam platter for vegetarian citizens.

We’ve got some very cool new goodies coming to the Exchange for a limited time only. These are the Snowflakes Body Paint, and two wearables - the Snowglobe and the Guiding Star.

Another major change over this time of year is the introduction of the famous Snowball Meteorites. Let’s go over how those work again…

There’s a lot to see and do at Oortmas, and we’ve had great fun getting stuck into the snowball fights with you all down the years, so we’ll see you there for another round!
