Hello!

The time has come when we have to announce it! ːsteamhappyː The game will be available under a new name: IT Specialist Simulator. With the new name, we hope that we will reach more interested players and the new name will better indicate what you can find in the game! But that's not all! We would also like to inform you that the publisher of the game will be FreeMind S.A., which is responsible for publishing e.g. House Builder, Farmer's Life or a similar game ServiceIT: You can do IT

And when it comes to news, we also have a few for you!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3266090/IT_Specialist_Simulator/
Tasks
For over two weeks, you can complete the first tasks. We have only added ten of them for testing. Each task will have an assigned SLA, i.e. a time in which it must be completed. Completing a task after the SLA time will affect the reward, and not completing a task before the end of the day if its SLA indicates the day in which the player is currently located will double the penalty. You can find the current list of tasks on the guides page.
Adjusting the game level
We have used several mechanics, so that if you choose, for example, the easy level, you will see all applications and you will not have to use commands in the Run application. However, if you choose, for example, the difficult level, you will have surprises in some tasks.
Map
We have added a map to the game, which can make the game easier for you to some extent. On the map, you will find specific information about which device is damaged and what task awaits you there. We decided to make the map rotational, i.e. it rotates according to the player.
EventLog
We have added the possibility and even necessity of using a tool such as EventLog. Thanks to this tool, the player will be guided to errors. In this place, you will also be able to find other information and system warnings. In the application, the player can see the information in XML view, we are also working on adding additional information here on the Properties button.
Office Printers
You may have noticed printers much earlier in other GIFs, films or photos. However, they had no functionality. Currently, printers are interactive and can be connected to the network, have their software updated or the drum level checked.
Tablet
We have added one application on the tablet, which will be just a curiosity about us. We plan to add a few applications to the demo, but everything in due time. We also plan to configure tablets, e.g. of other employees, thanks to sfw#setup, but we haven't gotten to that point yet.
Errors
We have fixed a lot of logical errors in the source code. There are currently no cosmic anomalies :P

What's next?

 1. We are currently creating an Antivirus, which will be called VirusPlus,
 2. An application store, so that the player has access to install them on new computers,
 3. We want to improve the task system and of course add new, more complicated tasks,
 4. We are also creating a special introductory room, where the player will have their first encounter with the game,
 5. Creating new websites,
 6. Completing the entire RCP system,

For the demo, we will want to polish many elements of the gameplay so that the game is pleasant to play. See you! Don't turn off your routers!

Game Update - February

Hello!

It's been a while since the last update, so we want to show you what we've managed to do over the next month. We've made a few minor changes to the player interface, but thanks to that the interface is more user-friendly. We've also been creating a system for saving the game for a long time. It was quite a difficult task due to the various mechanics in the game.
Tablet
The first thing that might catch your eye is the tablet. We've added it and are introducing the first applications there. The tablet itself will play a significant role in the game and will be a great convenience for the player.
Fasko - OneConnect (VPN)
Until now, to connect to VPN, all you had to do was have Internet access and click the Connect button. Thanks to the tablet, we could add a special application for 2-step verification. Thanks to this, we made this process more realistic. To start VPN, we have to enter the numbers that are displayed on the monitor into the application on the tablet.
Settings
We've added a few new settings, a few aesthetic ones, like the screen saver, a few of which change how the computer works. We've also changed the wallpapers available on the computer and fixed a few bugs related to them.
Changes in the terminal
We have supplemented the ipconfig command and added the ability to ping other devices with the -t or -T parameter
File and folder properties
From now on, you can check the properties of a given file or folder. They have several important parameters, such as file size, which is calculated based on the content. The more we write in the file, the longer it will take to download from the network, send on the network, etc.
Flash drives and disks
We have made every effort to ensure that everything works properly. From now on, each time you connect a new device to the computer, it will be given an appropriate icon and alphabetical letter. From now on, we can boot the flash drive for system installation.
Hamster Application
The application will be used to boot pendrives and disks. In the application we can choose which pendrive we want to boot, choose the appropriate iso file with the system and a few smaller functions.
Web - Jobbly
We have also completed the ability to apply for every job you can find on the site Jobbly in the game. There are also more offers related to IT and the further course of the game. Each job offer returns two emails. The first email is automatic and informs about the acceptance of the CV by the company. The second email is an email regarding the status.
Router
We have added several options in the Router configuration. As we mentioned before. At a general level, the configuration of both the router and the switch will be graphical. If the player wants to follow the appropriate career path, they will configure these devices via the console. Currently, we have added the option of assigning network addressing to a specific port. Thanks to this procedure, if the player wants to change the switch addressing, they must do it via the router. Additionally, you can enable and disable a specific port on the router, thanks to which we will block a certain part of the network.
Switch
You can access each switch by entering the IP address in the browser. We can change several parameters, check the list of currently connected devices via DHCP, edit which IP address to which DHCP should extend. Additionally, we can check what is connected to each port on the switch. If we change the DHCP range, devices with DHCP enabled will automatically receive a new address if their current address is outside the pool.
BIOS
We've fixed a few logic errors related to the BIOS. We have also added a few blue screens related to e.g. damaged VRAM. We have added an option to restore settings to factory settings and an option to exit BIOS without saving. and changes.
RCP - work registration reader
We have added a few smaller functionalities, such as: settings, restarting the device, turning off the device if it is only in the RACK cabinet. For now, we do not want to reveal full information about this device.
Cats
Yes, exactly. We have added cats to the game. One of the users of a certain platform wrote that the game must have cats! So, we listened to one of you and added a few cats. For this purpose, we also created a place for them.

We've added a few new features, but we don't want to reveal them at this time! See you soon!

P.S. Will someone fix our network? :P

New PoE devices, addressing settings
Welcome!
We hope everything is going well for you and that you haven't caught any viruses!
We are preparing to introduce the virus mechanics for computers, so soon you’ll have a chance to catch one ːsteamfacepalmː. We’ve already prepared several new websites under this mechanic to mislead players. These websites will primarily come from emails.
Control Panel
The control panel has already been added to the game, and one of its categories is fully operational. Specifically, we’re talking about the Network and Sharing Center. From now on, you can change IPv4 addressing on the computer, view active network cards, and check network data (if the computer is connected to a network).

We’ve also added the ability to track network data sent and received in KB, which is displayed in GB in the settings. This is only for troubleshooting network issues, as the data resets every time the connection is lost—just like in real life.
USB Ports on the Computer
We’ve introduced the ability to insert appropriate devices into USB ports, including pendrives and disks. After inserting a disk or pendrive, corresponding folders will appear in the file explorer. Disk and pendrive names will eventually match specific device types, such as "Pendrive OScypek (E:/)." With this option, system installation will function correctly and will only be possible via pendrive. As for network-based system installation, we plan to add this feature later, for higher levels when players want to specialize.
Changes to the RACK Cabinet
We’ve added the option to reset settings to factory defaults. Thanks to this, if players mess up something, they can completely break the network ːsteamhappyː. On a serious note, this option allows players to rebuild the network entirely from scratch. Of course, they’ll need to reconfigure the computer’s addressing, among other things, to make it all work again.
New Devices
Access Points have been added to the game and can now be seen in three locations. They’ll be configured via a website (connecting through an IP address). APs can only be turned off by disconnecting the patch cord from the switch (PoE port). Connecting the device to a regular port will prevent the AP from starting. Another new device is the RCP, or work registration reader. This device has a screen where players can modify a few options, including the addressing. The RCP also operates on PoE ports. Its configuration is partly handled via a website and partly through on-device settings that can’t be changed remotely. Additionally, repair procedures for both devices will be included in the game, accessible on the computer. We also plan to add cameras and their configuration.
Picking Up Items
We’ve implemented the ability to pick up items into the inventory. Currently, you can pick up patch cords, pendrives, and disks. In addition, several other items will become collectible. Besides this, we plan to introduce a mechanic for carrying items without adding them to the inventory. These will mostly be cosmetic items like food, sheets of paper, etc.
Inventory Changes
We’ve made several improvements to the inventory and its functionality. First and foremost, every trash can in the game is now functional, and players can throw away unnecessary items. Items in the trash will disappear the next day.

Equipment and installation of systems

Hello!

We hope you're still eagerly waiting for updates about the game! Today, we’re here with a small dose of information. This is, of course, due to the upcoming holidays, which left us with less time for the game. Nevertheless, we’re doing our best to push the game forward every single day.
BIOS – New Options
Let’s start with the BIOS. In the last update, we showed you a few options. Today, there are many more. Each option affects the functionality of the computer. For example, let’s take options like "Platform/Storage/Endorsement Hierarchy." If one of them is set incorrectly, you’ll get a blue screen with an error code.
Boot Menu
We’ve also added a boot menu, allowing players to install or repair the system using a pendrive with the OScypek system. Various additional boot options may also appear, but we’ll keep those a secret for now.
System Installation
System installation will be quite straightforward, with most data like country and time being static, so players can focus on other tasks. The installation itself won’t take long but will last about 2–3 minutes.
Inventory
Players can now open their portable backpack as well as their locker in the workroom. They can store a variety of items there.
Changes to the RACK Cabinet
Thanks to the new inventory system, we’ve added several changes to the RACK cabinets. Now, every disconnection adds a patch cord to your backpack. If you want to make a connection, you’ll need to have a patch cord in your portable backpack. Patch cords are located in the RACK room, so finding them shouldn’t be an issue. However, keep in mind that there are several floors and the option to connect subscriber sockets to computers.
A Few New Animations
We’ve also added a few new animations for computers, as well as notifications and more! Now, you can also increase and decrease the size of desktop icons.
