Important News!

Hi, Ells&Pills is here!
It’s time for another round of discounts, but that’s not the main thing.

Today, we want to share with you information about an interesting indie horror game being created by our friend from Ukraine. This is his debut game — he’s working on it solo under very difficult life circumstances. So, we would really appreciate it if you could visit the game’s Steam page:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3405860/Lurking_Within/

If the game catches your attention, please add it to your Wishlist! Today, this means a lot and is especially valuable for the creator.

Best Regards,
Ells&Pills.

Improved Understanding & Some Explanations

This update aims to improve clarity around certain in-game elements. We’ve hidden key information behind spoiler tags to preserve the experience for new players. But if you’ve already finished the game or watched playthroughs on YouTube, Twitch, etc., feel free to read on without worry.
  • Some players were confused by the man’s dialogue at the end of the game. We’ve slightly adjusted the final cutscene to make its meaning clearer.

    Explanation:
Q: What the hell? Why does this guy want to take my legs?
A: Well, the game doesn't have a negative meaning, although it's not a happy ending.
The meaning is actually quite simple. Our nameless hero survived the nightmare, but after repeatedly bashing his knees against walls and pillars, they’re probably ruined. That’s all the man is referring to at the end. But are his knees really destroyed, or is that man lying? That’s a story for another time..

  • Some players didn't understand the purpose of the empty security room on the 8th floor, so this gameplay moment has also been reworked for better understanding.

    Explanation:
Q: What's the point of this room? I just wasted my time.
A: Again, the explanation is straightforward. The little girl stole a gun from the security room, hid it on the 2nd floor, and in return asks the player to find her toy. This is hinted at by an alternate game path — a gun can be found in the locked security room on the 6th floor.

  • Minor adjustments to difficulty levels.

Ells&Pills

Difficulty Selection

This small update adds a difficulty selection screen. It’s very challenging to please all players, as all players are different. There are casual gamers, there are hardcore gamers, and everyone has different levels of patience.

As a result, we have created three difficulty levels:
  • Easy. At this difficulty level, the stability of the chair is increased by 2 times. You would have to intentionally do something foolish for the chair to tip over during the descent..
  • Normal. The chair's stability remains unchanged from what it was before this update.
  • Hard. The chair's stability has been returned to approximate values as it was at the game's release. This is the original, classic version of the game.

We hope that now most of you will find a difficulty level that you consider suitable. Take care of your knees! ;)

Ells&Pills

  • An additional female character has been added to the game, so before you start you can now choose who you’d like to play as. We hope this small update brings you some joy! Take care of your knees! ;)
  • Minor bug fixes in the game's bonus mode.
