Some of you, blessed with the clarity of 4K monitors or beyond, may have noticed the BIG RED INSTRUCTIONAL TEXT was... not so big. Or not readable. Or, in some cases, not there at all.

This was not intentional. These commands must be seen.

BIG RED TEXT FIXED AT HIGH RESOLUTIONS: At last, we have wrestled this bug into submission. The RED TEXT should now display correctly.



We’re sorry it took us this long to track down the issue. Sometimes the duct is deep, the error buried. However, we would like to assure you we had our best RATgineers on the job & even they struggled!

The RATgineers have gnawed through new cables, licked the circuits clean, and emerged with more offerings.

This time, the work was multilingual. The RAT now speaks in new tongues:

• New Localisations Added: RATSHAKER™, the Supporter Pack DLC, and our Store Page are now fully localised in: Korean, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Brazilian Portuguese.
  
• TV Fixes: Some TVs had gone dark. Their videos lost to the void after the last patch.
  We have restored their signal. The intended horrors now broadcast as designed.

Hey RATSHAKERs,

Our best RATgineers have been hard at work, cooking in the ducts and soldering in the dark.
They have emerged from the underbelly bearing offerings.

Small tweaks. Improved quality of life. Improvements, in slider form.

• Field of View Slider: You may now stretch your FOV from 70 to 110.
  
• Brightness Slider: Adjust from 0.5x to 1.5x.
  
• Shake Sensitivity: Set the ratshaking power independently from the camera input.
  
• Restart Button: The forbidden button now exists. It will erase all memory of your journey and return you to the first trembling step. Use it only if you are ready to be reborn.
  
• Slider Readouts: Numbers now accompany your sliders. You may see the truth in digits, degrees & percentages.

We unintentionally silenced the true names of The RAT. We displayed its title only in English as “The Rat”, across all tongues. We dishonoured La RATA. We disrespected Le RAT. We denied Die RATTE. We upset Il RATTO.

Do not despair, our best RATgineers have now completed their task to fix this mistake.

- Speaker Names Correctly Localised: Subtitles will now correctly display the speaker name in your selected language. The Shaken One shall no longer be mislabelled.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE

You thought we’d stop there? No, no, no. The rot never rests, the vermin never sleep, and we are never done fixing things that should have worked in the first place.

• INCORRECT RAT PAUSE - When pausing the game, the RAT would un-squeeze but still be stuck in a frozen squeeze animation, as if time itself had rejected your grip. The rat now correctly represents its state (squeezed, dead, shaken) even when paused. The RAT cannot escape.
  
• RATS NOW SWARM PROPERLY ON DEATH – Due to a misconfiguration in collision parameters, rats did not properly engulf your corpse in a tide of vermin. This has been corrected. Your body will now receive the appropriate, overwhelming, rodent-based attention.
  
• TVs NO LONGER DEFY THE LAWS OF TIME – Previously, TV videos continued playing when paused, but their audio did not. This paradox has been resolved. Now, when you pause the game, the TVs will pause too.
  
• MISSING CHECKPOINT AFTER 2ND GENERATOR – There was a missing checkpoint in the basement after the second generator. This was not intentional. It has now been added, ensuring you don’t have to suffer needlessly. Just... the appropriate amount of suffering.
  
• IMPROVED UI TEXT READABILITY – These words should be seen. Now they can be seen better.
  
• CURSED VHS TAPES NO LONGER BLOCK MOVEMENT – Some VHS tapes on the basement floor trapped players in an unholy grip, forcing a restart. These tapes have been exorcised.
  
• BASEMENT SHOWERS NO LONGER CURSED – A misaligned shower cubicle in the basement showers has been fixed. You may now bathe in peace. But why would you?
