This Week’s Schedule and a Small Tidbit

We’re sharing this week’s schedule.

  • We plan to roll out Ver. 1.8.1, focused mainly on bug fixes, by tomorrow evening (JST).
  • We plan to hold “Challenge from Hirashima-P Part 4” this Friday.
    We’ve prepared replay data for NORMAL 3.1.
    Even if you haven’t unlocked NORMAL 3.1 yet, you can join using this replay data; however, the event rules are not TGM style.

    Note:
    Unlock conditions for NORMAL 3.1
    1. Clear NORMAL to 999 to unlock NORMAL 1.1
    2. Clear NORMAL 1.1 to 999 to unlock NORMAL 2.1
    3. Clear NORMAL 2.1 to 499 to unlock NORMAL 3.1

Ver.1.8.0 Patch Update Notice

We have released Ver. 1.8.0.

As previously announced, there will be no detailed report for this version.
We appreciate your understanding.

Additions & Adjustments:
  • Added option to configure mitigation controls for users experiencing environmental latency (Latency-mitigation system).
  • In windowed mode, the cursor is now shown on the title bar and window frame.
  • Minor UI text revisions.
  • Adjusted level-bar display.
  • Added a secret to certain game modes.
  • Added a second secret to certain game modes.
  • Added data-display settings to Score Ranking.
  • Fixed line-clear scoring when the BIG option is enabled in MARATHON mode.
  • Added decorations (not shown under normal conditions).
  • Added “1.1 + α” to NORMAL.
     “1.1” is added based on your play status in NORMAL.
     Thereafter, additional modes unlock based on your progress in the added mode.
  • In the Replay Data list, when sorting by performance in categories where existing titles can be earned, the order now prioritizes “Title > Reached Level > Time.”
  • Rankings and Replay mode items now display all modes from the start (no longer require playing them first).
  • Added an alternative game-field display method (selectable in Options).
  • For TGM style only, certain UI changes are now configurable via Options.


Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue where scores could be miscalculated during replay playback.
  • Corrected the counted number of BIG-mino line clears in achievement aggregation.
  • Implemented countermeasures for an issue occurring in SHIRANUI mode (memory shortage).

Release Schedule Delay Notice for Ver. 1.8.0

We were preparing to release Ver. 1.8.0, but since last week our development staff has been resting due to illness, and today a medical institution has instructed that they need to remain off duty for the rest of this week. Furthermore, next week in Japan is the “Obon holiday,” during which our debug team will also be absent. Therefore, it looks likely that the release of Ver. 1.8.0 will slip to mid-August or later.

We had planned to release today, but we judged that proceeding with a major update without the responsible staff present would be very risky, so we reluctantly decided to postpone the release.

Since Ver. 1.7.0, we have taken various comments into account, but every applicable version has been operated under licensor direction. Please wait a little longer for the release of Ver. 1.8.0. Ver. 1.8.0 includes specification changes that were negotiated immediately after release under the release conditions of Ver. 1.7.0, so we are proceeding very carefully. We appreciate your patience until a firm release date is set.

Development Report: Progress Update for Ver.1.8.0

We are currently developing Ver.1.8.0.
As announced with Ver.1.7.0, this will be the second half of the major TGMstyle adjustments.

The primary focus is on adding new features to NORMAL mode, along with corresponding changes to onscreen information.

For Ver.1.8.0, we will not list any change details beyond bug fixes, so please use your discretion.

Ver. 1.7.2 Patch Update Notice

[p]During verification of the Ver.1.7.0 update, it was discovered that the adjustment data for ASUKA EASY mode was unintentionally referencing data from another mode.[/p][p]Therefore, after an emergency consultation with our licensor, we have issued an urgent Ver.1.7.2 update to correct this.[/p][p][/p][p]Cause:[/p][p][/p][p]Although almost no changes were planned for ASUKA EASY, during the process of adjusting the presentation, the data for a different mode was mistakenly referenced.[/p][p]The debug team, seeing a difference in the diff, assumed that ASUKA EASY had been changed, confirmed that change, and the fix passed the debug check.[/p][p]We sincerely apologize for this.[/p][p][/p][p]As a result of this fix, any replay data for ASUKA EASY from versions earlier than Ver.1.7.2 will no longer be playable.[/p][p]
