Development Update: Information Regarding Freezes at “NOW LOADING”

As the title suggests, we would like to share a possible workaround for those experiencing startup freezes.

・If you are using an external HDMI output, please try launching the game with the display set to the external monitor.

When using an external monitor, please ensure the resolution is set to 16:9.

If this resolves the issue and the game successfully launches,
we would greatly appreciate it if you could let us know the specs of that external monitor.

Development Update: User-reported bug information

  • Installing DirectX 9 seems to allow the game to launch (confirmed)

  • If using WHD display output, setting the aspect ratio to 16:9 helps (confirmed)
  • Suspected issue on systems without AVX2 support (under investigation)
  • Switching to an external display allows the game to launch (under investigation)

Development Update: Progress Report

  • Investigating startup freeze issues, including collecting sample cases and reviewing user-submitted information (highest priority)
  • Verifying how other games implement keyboard binding systems (highest priority)
  • Reviewing feedback regarding control feel and usability (mid- to long-term task)
  • Considering changes to the current system where score rankings are reset with each update (long-term task)
  • Planning WHD (widescreen) support (mid-term task)
  • Implementing the KAMUI command (long-term task)


We plan to share a progress report by 6:00 PM tomorrow (Monday, JST),
along with a separate explanation of the development concept and its background.

Development Update: Upcoming Update Schedule

Preliminary settings for refresh rate have been made in Ver1.0.4.
This update will not invalidate existing ranking scores or replay data.

Moving forward, we will be requesting approval to allow custom keyboard bindings.
Please wait until Tuesday (JST) for further details.
Development will proceed in advance, assuming approval will be granted.

Keyboard binding support will cover both US (ANSI) and Japanese (JIS) keyboard layouts.
These updates are scheduled to be released by Friday evening next week (JST).
If any issues arise, we will provide a revised schedule accordingly.

April 4 Official Release

April 5 Updates from Ver. 1.0.1 to 1.0.4

April 8 Ver. 1.0.5 (Keyboard Binding Test Version)

April 11 Ver. 1.1 (Official Keyboard Binding Release and Related Adjustments)

Due to the nature of this game, implementing custom keyboard bindings is expected to be technically complex,
so we would like to first release a test version and verify its performance.

In addition to the above, if there is any progress regarding the NOW LOADING freeze issue,
we may release further updates accordingly.

Bug fixes for reported issues will be included in the update schedule listed above.
