Development Report: Progress Update for Ver.1.8.0

We are currently developing Ver.1.8.0.
As announced with Ver.1.7.0, this will be the second half of the major TGMstyle adjustments.

The primary focus is on adding new features to NORMAL mode, along with corresponding changes to onscreen information.

For Ver.1.8.0, we will not list any change details beyond bug fixes, so please use your discretion.

Ver. 1.7.2 Patch Update Notice

[p]During verification of the Ver.1.7.0 update, it was discovered that the adjustment data for ASUKA EASY mode was unintentionally referencing data from another mode.[/p][p]Therefore, after an emergency consultation with our licensor, we have issued an urgent Ver.1.7.2 update to correct this.[/p][p][/p][p]Cause:[/p][p][/p][p]Although almost no changes were planned for ASUKA EASY, during the process of adjusting the presentation, the data for a different mode was mistakenly referenced.[/p][p]The debug team, seeing a difference in the diff, assumed that ASUKA EASY had been changed, confirmed that change, and the fix passed the debug check.[/p][p]We sincerely apologize for this.[/p][p][/p][p]As a result of this fix, any replay data for ASUKA EASY from versions earlier than Ver.1.7.2 will no longer be playable.[/p][p]

Ver. 1.7.1 Patch Update Notice

We have updated to Ver.1.7.1.

Changes:
  • Adjusted the result screen presentation for ASUKA (Easy)
  • Enabled advancing the result screen with the confirm button
  • Updated Credit Roll 2
  • Added a setting to toggle the display or hiding of replay data from past versions.

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue on the result screen where the pinch time SE could sometimes play
  • Text corrections and adjustments

Ver.1.7.0 Patch Update Notice

We have updated to Ver.1.7.0.

Notice:
  • All replay data for TGMstyle versions below Ver.1.7.0, as well as all versusmode replay data, can no longer be played back.

Changes:
  • The BGM system has been revamped.
  • The method for evaluating titles in NORMAL mode has been changed.
  • Title icon display in NORMAL mode is now supported.
  • To see icons on the modeselection screen, you must earn the title again after updating to Ver.1.7.0.
  • In marathon mode, you can now choose SPRINT or ULTRA.
  • New rankings have been added for SPRINT and ULTRA.
  • Some text on the options screen has been revised.
  • All TGMstyle behaviors except for KONOHA have been overhauled.
    As a result of these changes, the following replay data from versions below Ver.1.7.0 can no longer be played:
    NORMAL and TGMstyle ASUKA / ASUKA (Easy) / ASUKA (Hard) / MASTER, SHIRANUI, and versus battles.
  • Adjustments were made to SHIRANUI and versusbattle modes.
  • In practice mode, when skipping levels in ASUKA (Hard), the foxcount correction range has been expanded (from 1000 onward).
  • The results screen shown after game end has been redesigned.
  • Certain endofgame effects in NORMAL and ASUKA have been tweaked.
  • In score rankings and practice launched from replays, categories have been separated by control typeexcluding versus battles.
    Switch controls with START on gamepad or F1 on keyboard.

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue where, if you entered the preview screen from the 2P (rightside) gamepad or keyboard settings, it previewed using the 1P settings.
  • Fixed a problem in Replay&Race where, if you selected Retry from the pause menu, the BGM could play at unintended times.

Development Report: Progress on Version 1.7.0

We are currently working on Version 1.7.0. Because this update includes major additions and changes, it is taking extra time for licensing approval.

Main Changes:
  • TGM Style Control Behavior Updated
    We’ve revised control inputs for all modes playable in TGM Style.
    【【【Important 】】】
    As a result, the following replays from versions earlier than 1.7.0 can no longer be viewed:
    ・All replays played in TGM Style
    ・Versus-mode replays
    ・SHIRANUI replays
  • Planned Addition of New Game Rules in Marathon Mode
    (Currently under review by the licensor.)
  • Result Screen Flow Changed
    After gameplay ends, the way “RESULT” is displayed has been updated.
    ・Previously: “Game Over” appeared first, then the performance evaluation.
    ・From Ver.1.7.0 onward: “RESULT” is shown immediately after gameplay ends, followed by “Game Over.”
    ・The RESULT screen varies by game mode.

Other Changes & Fixes:
  • Adjusted the title-ranking system in NORMAL Mode (now easier to earn titles).
  • Added title icons to NORMAL Mode.
  • Fixed an issue where, when entering the preview screen from 2P (right-side) gamepad or keyboard settings, the preview still used 1P’s settings.
  • Updated some text in the Options menu.
  • Fixed a bug in “Race Replay” where, if you selected “Retry” from the pause menu mid-play, the BGM could restart at unexpected times.
