Steam Deck + Controller Support

[p]Hello everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]It was time to implement Steam Deck and controller support. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done. Now you can play Dominova while bedrotting, what a time to be alive![/p][p][/p][p]You can move the cursor with the control stick.
Select and place dominoes with the A button (south button).[/p][p]Rotate and remove dominoes with the B button (eastern button).[/p][p][/p][p]You can adjust the control stick sensitivity in the settings. No rebinding (yet, I don't know, it's kind of tricky to do with localization)[/p][p][/p][p]The game should be completely playable on Steam Deck. I also made some UI tweaks to make sure everything is readable.[/p][p][/p][p]If you play the game on Steam Deck I'd love to hear your feedback. I don't have a Steam Deck myself so it's hard to check if everything works as it should.[/p][p][/p][p]Thanks for playing and have a nice day!

Gameplay Update + Compendium

[p]Hello everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]The demo is now out for a couple of weeks and I received a lot of feedback. In general I think the game is a little too complex in the basic gameplay. Especially when it comes to domino placement and fitting them all on the board.[/p][p][/p][p]To fix this issue I tried a different approach where all dominoes can be connected, but if you connect same colored ones you get a base score bonus.[/p][p][/p][p]This will make it a lot easier to get around the board. You can focus more on Nova cards and getting all the upgrades.[/p][p][/p][p]To counter balance, the score goals have increased by a lot. You really need Nova cards to get far in a run. Also since it's easier to place dominoes, there are also more obstacles to deal with now.[/p][p][/p][p]There is also a compendium now that explains some basic stuff about the game. Settings and the nova card collection is placed in there too.[/p][p][/p][p]I also fixed the Wild Clone Nova card that was programmed incorrectly. And some other stuff.[/p][p] [/p][p]If you want to let me know what you think, please drop a review or start a discussion on the forum or contact me on discord. Or fill in the in-game feedback form.[/p][p][/p][p]Thanks for playing and have a nice day!

New bosses ALERT

[p]Thanks everyone for playing the demo and giving feedback. My plan for the demo is to give some updates with fixes along with some new content.
[/p][p]Dominova update v0.1.1.1[/p][p]- Added Cross domino[/p][p]- Added 2 new bosses (Nautilus and Porcupine)[/p][p]- Shop appears closer to starting tile[/p][p]- Slightly lower score goal at the start[/p][p]- Minor tweaks and level balancing

Bug fixes[/p][p]- Fixed Nova Cards not saving correctly due to missing collection page[/p][p]- Fixed West Side nova card.[/p][p]- Fixed question dominoes high chance appearing on all boss fights[/p][p]- Fixed Fall nova card: now visualizes where leafs will be placed[/p][p]- Fixed Broccoli nova card: now visualizes where leafs will be placed[/p][p]- Fixed tooltip going out of the screen[/p][p][/p][p]Also, check out this awesome Dominova playthrough by interndotgif. They actually played a bugged version that creates a longer map system everytime you leave and re-enter the game in your first run. (This was fixed before the demo released to the public) [dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]Thanks for playing and have a nice day![/p]

The Dominova Demo is live!

[p]Thanks everyone for being patient for the demo release. As I've said before a lot of quality of live, gameplay tweaks + balancing has been implemented. This is all thanks to the people who either filled in the forms or told me through discord what they wanted to see changed. Also I saw a lot of Youtubers play which instantly showed me what to improve on.[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]The game is a lot more strategic and satisfying to play now compared to the playtest version. I hope you will give it a try![/p][p][/p][p]Also remember that Dominova is part of the Tiny Teams Festival 2025. You can check their page over here: https://store.steampowered.com/sale/TinyTeams2025[/p][p][/p][p]Thanks for playing, let me know what you think and have a nice day! :)[/p]

Demo release date + Tiny Teams Festival

[p]Hello everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]The Dominova demo will launch on Thursday August 7th, together with the Tiny Teams Festival! With the amount of feedback I've implemented from the playtest I am sure it is a demo you will all enjoy.

I am really thrilled to be part of the Tiny Teams festival and being able to showcase the Dominova demo to lots of new players. It's been hard to get into festivals with Dominova, so it was a difficult time to get good exposure. Hopefully the game will perform well. :)[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Have a nice day!
