Release of Gandamak 1842

The May release (ok, we know, it's June and we are late!) is showing up tomorrow, taking the players to the First Anglo-Afghan war, in 1842.

The troops of the British East India Company will attempt to install by force a ruler favorable to their interests in Afghanistan, while the local Afghan Tribes will resist the move.

Will the attempt end in disaster, like historically? Or will YOU, as head of the British expedition, succeed in your mission?

It's now yours to discover in another war in Afghanistan!

Release of Fornovo 1495

With this month's release, we make you re-visit the early Renaissance, during the famous First War of Italy (late 15th century).

  • French king Charles VIII invades the peninsula with his modern and strong army to claim the inheritance of the Kingdom of Naples.
  • Facing him, the Italian League is weak and disunited, but thanks to the patient and wily diplomacy of Alexander VI, the Borgia Pope, it will manage to gather its forces and, possibly, expel the French from Italy.

You can now take command of Knights, Swiss pikemen, Aragonese cabelleros, Condottieres and many other troops to fight for supremacy over the Italy of Michelangelo and Da Vinci.

OTHER NEWS
We also took opportunity of this release to make a large update of all the previous scenarios, with improvements, bug fixes and texts changes.

No Pasaran!

Today, we shall release the Spain 1936 DLC.

This is the biggest WAW scenario to date, with a massive campaign covering the whole of the Spanish Civil War, from its very begining in July 1936 till its end in 1939.

The game has hundreds of units, a large number of event cards (which you draw at the rate of 2 per turn), a big map covering all of Spain and the Baleares.

Based on the support each side will gather among the population, they will be able to mobilize more or less resources and assets to win this terrible civil war.

Foreign support and intervention is also factored, in addition to economics and politics.

Take control of Spain as the Nationalists, or prevent the 'Fascists' to overthraw the legal Republican government: ¡No Pasaran! (they shall not pass)

Switzerland 1937: Alternate History!

Our first inroad into alternate history is now live.

Switzerland 1937 is the simulation of a fictive civil war in Switzerland, based on the unfinished and unpublished novel 'Eternal War'.

It's the history of a Europe that never could recover from World War One and the Great Depression. In most European countries, conditions prevailing are tantamount to civil war. Radicalism, decline of democratic values and violent riots are ordinary in many countries.

Encouraged by Franco's rebellion in Spain, the anti-democratic, conservative-catholic 'Eidgenössischer Bund' starts an uprising to transform Switzerland into a corporative-autocratic state.

Supported by various right-wing conservative factions, the Rebels have to seize power in Switzerland.

The Government must maintain control over the important cities and economical centers, in order to defeat the insurgents.

Have fun and re-write history...
