[p]69 Hours Remain in the Winter Heat Kickstarter campaign![/p][p]It's your last best chance to support Yuri Kissaten's game developer dreams, and be greatly rewarded with an awesome yuri romance game that takes place through chatrooms, video calls, and social media apps! (There's also a full RPG Roguelike sub-game included because we're silly) [/p][p]Through this Kickstarter, you can get your own OC included in the game as an NPC, you can get an in-universe brochure, and you can even get your very own Oomfie plushie mailed directly to you. All that, AND you'll help ensure that Yuri Kissaten stays afloat long enough to release some truly banger games in 2026, such as Toxic Yuri and the Hands Held in the Snow game adaptation. [/p][p]Winter Heat releases in November, so you won't have to wait long for the release, but this campaign will help us turn a pretty good small game into something much stronger, much cuter, and I'm so thankful for all the support we've received so far.[/p][p]Also, don't forget to play the free demo![/p]

[p]The new demo update adds another app - the Gallery![/p][p][/p][p]Most visual novels have an image galley of some sort, but with Winter Heat's app system, you can expand the story and learn more about the lives of Javi and Shio through the Gallery. Not only will you unlock beautiful art from the main game by director and lead artist Fruz, but you'll get more art and photographs of daily life in Chile and Japan, divided up by different folders across time and topic. Discover an even richer story through the Gallery in the full game. And now it's in the demo, too, mainly to demonstrate what's coming soon.[/p][p][/p][p]The next demo update will hopefully include a sizeable update to the Oomfie RPG sub-game, as well as the Maps app. We're trying to get the demo as far along as possible before the end of the Kickstarter campaign, which still has about two weeks remaining. We're shooting for some cool stretch goals, so please support by pledging or sharing![/p]

[p]As part of our weekly content updates throughout the Winter Heat Kickstarter campaign, we've added a new app to the demo experience-- Test Your English![/p][p]It's only a couple minutes long, to demonstrate the type of gameplay you can look forward to in the full release. This is the app that Shio uses every day to train up her English level so she can communicate more effectively with people from around the world. How will YOU do?[/p][p]Give us your feedback on this app and especially ideas for extremely silly English language questions. Just yesterday, we reached our stretch goal to expand this app into an even bigger experience, so please look forward to that![/p][p][/p][p]There are a few other smaller updates to the demo, but mostly under the hood so the game doesn't break later down the line. This wholesome visual novel chronicles a modern romance in a uniquely digital way.[/p][p]Javiera Vera is a freelancer living in the sweltering summer of Maipú, Santiago, in Chile. Fukkoshi Shio is an office worker living in the snowy rural town of Miyazu, Kyoto, in Japan. Why does the title include “1994”? We’re not sure. Probably because that sounded futuristic in 1993.[/p][p]After her best friend Sam is sucked into the hot new game console, Oomfie must traverse the digital world of Turbo and collect pieces of the Virtual Cuboid Console to send them both back.[/p][p]Discover a comfy town and four mazelike adventure zones, switching from a classic overhead view to first-person face-offs in the Chili Forest and other whimsical locales.[/p][p]Every run through an adventure zone is different, with its own special events. Meet friends and not-so-friends on the road, and decide whether to trade, help, or run away really fast. The further you go, the more forks in the road.[/p][p][/p][p]Then oomf your way through tricky turn-based batles. Use Action Points to attack, but watch out: your AP is also your health! Healing at the right moments and reading your opponents’ moves are the keys to victory.[/p][p]You have space for eight moves…and items. Together. Will you pick up a weapon, or a healing hamburger?
