[p]Hey everybody! Welcome to the November 2025 Diceletter![/p][p]yep you heard it right, I'm no longer calling these monthly "updates" cause... somebody on the discord server confused them with like actual game updates, which to be fair, makes sense lol[/p][p][/p][p]soo now, let's talk about what you here came for: DICE![/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h2]POWER LEVELS[/h2][p]Soo some of you may have noticed one secret and totally not obvious menu thing on the demo, the power selection menu! I've come to realize that I've never properly explained this, so let's talk about it[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Power levels are essentially Dice A Million's "ascension" system, my way to make the game progressively harder. It works pretty similarly to other games, so each level adds a new rule that will make the game just a little bit harder, and stack on top of all of the previous ones.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Here's the first one! As you can see, pretty simple. some of them are straightforward like this, and others are more involved and even introduce exclusive mechanics. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun and totally won't sent a missile straight up to my house :)[/p][p][/p][p]To unlock a new Power level, it's simple, just beat Face 3 on the previous one on any specific hand (yep they're hand exclusive)[/p][p]Each hand will keep track of your power progess for each completion mark, and there's achievements/unlocks for beating the last power level on each one of them![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]As a side effect of Power Levels being added, I lowered pip objectives just a bit from Face 2 onwards. This will make the game overall easier on Power 0 compared to the demo, but trust me, it is absolutely needed cause some later power levels go really crazy lol.[/p][p]Okay okay, now let's share some new dice and rings![/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h2]DICE / RINGS[/h2][p][/p][h3]Bone Die[/h3][p][/p][p]The name of this one was deciphered by toadsworthsuperfan on the discord server in a censored screenshot I shared, I thought it was a pretty crazy effort soo I revealed its design lol[/p][p][/p][h3]Void Ring[/h3][p][/p][p]This one I also shared on the discord server a few days ago. invertedmeltan made a crazy build with Piggydie (which always has face 0) so I thought to myself "if they only had void ring in that run..." Simple, but it is really one of my favorites to play around with[/p][p][/p][p]Also I've updated Magic Ring and Bubble Wrap sprites, cause they were so bad before lol[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h2]MORE VISUAL ENHANCEMENTS[/h2][p]As always, I'm polishing and adding lots of flavor to the visuals, soo take a look at the new and revamped character selection screen![/p][p][/p][p]yep I censored the dots right to the play button to not spoil the colors of the hands[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p] [/p][h2]MODDING TOOLS [/h2][p]Another thing I've been working on recently is revamping the debug console to make it usable for the public! This will be a feature included in the full release but of course intended for modding or content creation purpouses, as it will disable achievements when used. [/p][p](You'll also have to turn it on beforehand in the game files just so people don't randomly stumble upon it lol)[/p][p]
[/p][p]You can give yourself crazy dice with specific enchantments, spawn bosses, teleport to anywhere...[/p][p]it's basically /gamemode 1 guys[/p][p] [/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h2]WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING[/h2][p]Soooo the game is basically a month and a half away from release, and I know I said this earlier BUT now I feel like the game IS finally 100% content complete! Last week I added a new batch of 8 rings which focus on making synergies with mechanics that I felt were lacking, and with those I don't think I'm adding anything else.[/p][p]If that's the case (and it's completely possible that I add just one more die or something before release lol), the total count is: 126 dice and 90 rings![/p][p]keep in mind it is a very layered game, even more so than what it may seem from the demo, so most of this content will be locked from the start, just so you don't get lost and overwhelmed...[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]oh I'm shy die and I'm lost and overwhelmed...[/p][p][/p][p]From now on, I'll be focusing on polishing, balancing, and finishing up the ending cutscene. (and trying to 100% my own save file so I can be the first one in the world to do so >:))[/p][p][/p][p]Also, I've been working on a rework to the boss shop, as I've always thought it was pretty lacking, often having no real challenge or thought, just a buy-nothing or buy-everything situation. I'm being very cautious about it though cause this the only thing I'm really changing from the content in the demo (besides balancing and visual enhancements ofc), so I'll definitely want your feedback on it. [p]Hi there! Sooo this month was Steam Next Fest and… it was great! We gathered a few thousand wishlists and got a lot more eyes on the game. In case you missed it, we hit 20k wishlists!!!

[/p][p](though it's 21k now already…)[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you all so much for the support, there’s a lot of people patiently waiting for Dice A Million’s release and it’s growing everyday, giving me all the gambling power I need to finish the game… Remember the game is set to release on January 2026, so there’s not much time left![/p][p]Now, let’s talk about some stuff I’ve been working on!![/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][h2]NEW CARDS[/h2][p]Yep!!! Some of you may remember when I mentioned back in April that on release there would be new cards, but in a special separated set, to not bloat the normal card pool. These are more powerful/specific than normal cards, so they’re of course rarer… and all locked by default![/p][p][/p][p]You’ll need to work your way through the dice to be able to get them though…[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]Ever needed that single mirror cube in your bag to win and didn’t draw it in your last roll?! Gift Card allows you to draw any specific die you want from your bag.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][h2]MORE VISUAL UPGRADES[/h2][p]OK yeah let’s address the elephant in the room now, what you saw above is the new UI for booster packs! I’ve been working hard in upgrading them since, let’s be clear, they were so boring looking before.

[/p][p]I also made a new chest animation! I posted this on twitter the other day (which you should definitely follow me there…) and people really seemed to like it!

[/p][p](you can skip it by just clicking you brainrotted kids…)[/p][p][/p][p]There’s a LOT of little visual and sound enhancements I’ve been doing that I’m saving for full release, so the game will feel as fresh as ever.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][h2]LOCALIZATION[/h2][p]Another thing I’ve been spending a lot of time into is rewriting the text system in the game to allow for easier localization support. You really shouldn’t notice anything if you only play in English, but the goal is to release with a bunch of languages besides English and Spanish, can’t confirm which ones yet, but I’ll let you know! This new system will also allow fans to easily do fan translations if they want :) (crossing fingers so Dice A Million is in pirate language someday)[/p][p]

[p]here's another patch! keep an eye for the october's development post coming in a few days!! :)[/p][p][/p][p]changes:[/p][p]- smiley medal now works with rerolled dice that rolled into their highest face (via casino die, isaac's die, etc)[/p][p]- casino die and isaac's die can now reroll lucky 7 before discarding everything if it rolled an X[/p][p][/p][p]bugfixes:[/p][p]- fixed a bug where stamp mult sometimes caused to visually display more decimals than intended on the dice mult (like 1.2x displaying as 1.21x). let me know if this fix causes any issues![/p][p]- fixed a rare crash when playing with controller and having active rings[/p][p]- The Odd and The Even would interact with dice with face 0, despite 0 counting neither as even nor odd[/p][p]- The Even didn't trigger even/odd animations[/p][p]- granite die with echo didn't get 4x extra value in some specific cases[/p][p]- extra value was added twice in some rare cases[/p][p]- fixed a bug where boss descriptions wouldn't always display if you had save data from an old version[/p]
