This past weekend, the ARKiteks held a Star Wars-themed event for the ARK community - Complete with events, builds, and most importantly tons of fun. We'd like to extend thanks to the ARKiteks for hosting an amazing event for the community. With that said, let's get into some of the builds!

Who are the ARKiteks?

The group was founded in 2020 with the collaborative creation of their first event- Fright Fest. ARKitects aims to create immersive, interactive public events, where creators and fans can come together within the world of ark to both marvel at what has been created and to have some fun!

ARKitects is not about one individual but rather, what we can do together as a team. Building friendships as we build our collective skills, ARKitects is a growing community striving to unite both creators and fans together around the exciting and friendly building community of ark.

Canoe

Small Tribes Update

As previously announced, the Small Tribes Rules have been updated and made more stringent to address some of the pain points you’ve experienced. Along with this comes the need for those sharing defenses to move those defenses or for some tribes to relocate altogether, depending on the location.

We’ve noticed there hasn’t been much progression in this area and we’re past the end date of April 23rd!

Because of this, we’ve decided to give players two more weeks as we’d much prefer not to have tribes wiped by enforcement. Let’s address a few questions that have come up from the community to make sure the cave/shared defenses rule is crystal clear. We’d like to take this time to clear up any misconceptions players may have gotten from the last post.

Sharing Center Ice Cave is against the spirit of the rules, irrespective of the fact small and large sides can theoretically be regarded as different defenses, they are quite directly benefiting from the presence of each other in that location If a tribe hasn’t relocated (or forcefully taken both sides) by the end of the two-week extension, enforcement will opt to wipe the base on the small side.
Valguero Underground entrances cannot be blocked. Images showing limits for defenses near chokes are shared below. Multiple tribes can live inside but they must not share defenses in any way. For example, a tribe in tree and a tribe on large plateau with their own unique defenses is fine. A tribe at the bottom of the tree and a tribe at the top equates to shared defenses: the defenses at the bottom must be breached to reach the tribe at the top. In this example, the tribe at the bottom would be wiped by enforcement.

Enforcement will begin to take action on these and other similar cases after the 15th of May.

These changes may just be the start, but they’ve set the stage for possible fine tuning in the months ahead.

EVO Event

Survivors on all platforms will be receiving a special Evolution Event perk! It will be active from Friday the 30th of April to Monday the 3rd of May. All Official Servers across each platform will be undergoing this evolutionary change which includes:

2x Breeding (mating interval, egg hatch speed, imprint, and maturation)
2x Hexagon Rewards
2x Harvest
2x Taming
2x XP

Here's the Fiat 500 version of Ark: Survival Evolved's Rock Drake

We all know the noble rock drake in Ark: Survival Evolved - it's that massive camouflaged terror that seemingly appears out of nowhere to jack up your day when you make the mistake of poking around its nesting areas. Once tamed, they're the scaly Land Rovers of the sky - gracefully gliding through the air and skillfully clambering up sheer rock faces. As a mount, though, they can be a bit unwieldy - so here's a mod that reduces the size and makes them way more manoeuvrable.

The aptly named Small Drake mod is just like Rock Drake, but 50% smaller. What it loses in size, it gains in swimming speed, climbing speed, gliding speed, and turn radius. Sure, you're losing some health and damage output, but you're gaining stamina - and you can still ride these little Fiat 500 Drakes straight up cliffs when the situation calls for it.

A custom saddle (without a passenger seat) becomes available at level 70, and a custom Tek saddle is available at level 85 (also without a passenger seat). Just like the larger versions, you can't actually tame the Small Drakes - you have to steal an egg, and then feed the baby using venom you've obtained from knocking out one of the wild female Small Drakes.

Ark: Survival Evolved's new Conquest season launches this week

Update - April 26, 2021: The new Conquest season times have been confirmed

If you're a fan of Ark: Survival Evolved's PvP gameplay, there's some exciting news you might want to make a note of - next week, the action-adventure game's current Classic PvP season will be drawing to a close, and on the same day a new Conquest season will be going live.

That's according to an announcement post from Studio Wildcard on the dino-filled survival game's forums, in which the devs reveal that the end of the current Classic PvP season - and the launch of the new Conquest Season 3 - will both be happening on April 27 at 6pm BST / 1pm ET / 10am PT.

As ever, Conquest - the mode that builds on the multiplayer game's Small Tribe offering and makes large-tribe PvP gameplay an option for PC players - brings increased rates for things like gain, taming, gathering, breeding, hatching, and raising. The next season will also see 100-player maximum caps again, with tribes allowed to be made of no more than 25 players in total.
