Multiplayer Sound Bug Fix

I identified a minor sound bug in multiplayer: when a player who isn’t the host builds a structure, the crafting sound played didn’t match the correct building.

🛠 Out of Early Access !

[p]After nearly 9 months of development, Idle Together is finally complete with its version 1.0 : a stable, multiplayer-playable version with all the planned content.
Of course, that doesn’t mean there won’t be any more updates, let alone bug fixes, but it does mark a true milestone in the game’s development. 🚀[/p][p]To give you some numbers, Idle Together currently means :[/p]
  • [p]🧠 432 974 lines of code[/p]
  • [p]🎨 791 unique assets[/p]
  • [p]🕹️ 1 684 wishlists[/p]
  • [p]👥 1 356 unique players[/p]
  • [p]🕒 8h40 average playtime per player[/p]
  • [p]⭐ 83 % positive rating[/p]
  • [p]💬 176 community hub followers[/p]
  • [p]🗨️ 90 players on Discord[/p]
  • [p]🏆 28 achievements[/p]
  • [p]🛠️ 165 updates released[/p]
  • [p]📈 14,7 % conversion rate[/p]
  • [p]🧑‍🤝‍🧑 13 concurrent players[/p]
  • [p]🥇 7ᵗʰ place among Steam games made with GDevelop[/p]
[p]That’s huge ! At least for me. Let’s not forget I’m working solo, and I started out with zero experience.[/p][p]I remember when the villagers were just stickmen, and yet people still bought the game… Thank you to them ! 🙏
Because without you, I would never have been able to reinvest that money to pay other independent artists, just like me, to make up for my own shortcomings in visuals and sound.[/p][p]I feel moved as I write these lines, because you’ve helped me achieve one of my oldest dreams. ✨[/p][p]Thank you all, thank you so much.

Bug Fixes

For today, I’ve fixed two bugs I had identified :

  • The villager's diagonal movement did not trigger any movement animation, this is now fixed.
  • The event information panel has been fixed to correctly display the end button text in the menu.

If you identify any other bugs, please let me know.

Added progression to building crafting

This is something that has been requested quite a lot, and now it's done! When you buy a building, such as a house, it will increase the cost of the next house you want to buy.

This system also applies to destroying a building. Using the house example again, when you dismantle one, it will reduce the amount of resources needed to build another.

Also, I’ve fixed two related bugs :

  • Now, if you try to build a building in the spot where the crafting menu is located while the menu is closed, it will no longer replace your building with the one from the crafting menu.
  • Now, when you want to sell a house, you can do so even if it would bring you to your maximum villager capacity. For example, if you're at 5/10, you can sell one house and go to 5/5.

I hope you’ll enjoy these changes ! They’re meant to work properly in multiplayer and are compatible with the save system. Please note that your current save won’t reflect the correct construction costs — only your next game will.

Tree Appearance Update

After several days of reflection, I found the current trees increasingly inconsistent, as they stood out too much compared to other natural resources like bushes and rocks.

That’s why I redesigned the tree skins to make them more colorful and better suited to the game's atmosphere.

I hope you’ll enjoy these changes.
