Our lil' indie team has been hard at work for months prepping the Cozy Beach demo, and we're so thrilled that it's available for everyone to play now![/p][p][/p][p]Our goal for this initial version of the demo was to give everyone a taste of the vibe we're going for, and some fun basic fishing and chatting features.[/p][p][/p][p]Some dev notes:[/p][p]We patched a few bugs this week, and have plans to patch a few more! Details are below.[/p][p]We also have plans to update the demo as we develop the game! Keep your eyes out for updates this year with customizable characters, apparel, more interactive NPCs, more fish and emotes, apparel, collectibles, crafting and more.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you also for your patience with stray bugs as we get everything ironed out and working smoothly 🙏 we'll be posting patch notes as we go with what gets fixed.[/p][p][/p][p]We also welcome your feedback about the demo! 🐛 Bugs patched this week[/p][p]-Bug where you fell forever when joining an island fixed[/p][p]-Bug where you spawned under the sand fixed[/p][p]-Bug where your avatar froze after an animation fixed[/p][p]-Fixed a bug where you froze in place on spawn[/p][p]-Sometimes the fishing line will get caught on something, or fish will get trapped under the ground - we added a "Cut the line" feature to escape situations like these[/p][p]-The emote wheel persisted sometimes without a way to dismiss it, we made it so pressing "Esc" clears the emote wheel[/p][p]-Changed the text color in the chat balloon to make it easier to read[/p][p]-Fixed a bug where a 2nd player joining an island would have their controls remapped from keyboard & mouse to an Xbox controller (??)[/p][p]-Little boot icons from the chatters list would persist on the player screen[/p][p][/p][p]
🐝 Bugs we're aware of and working to fix[/p][p]-In multiplayer, the chatbox "grabs" the controls from players and moves their avatars while typing (WASD & spacebar)[/p][p]-If you jump on top of another cat and try to fish while standing on their head, your avatar's pose is frozen[/p][p]-Audio balancing - we'll be adding volume sliders for music, sound effects and overall volume soon[/p][p]-Sometimes the font changes to another font for random letters[/p][p]-Sometimes the camera snaps to look at nearby scenery and you lose your character (this might be fixed, I am not 100% sure)[/p][p][/p][p]
🐞Bugs we might leave cause they're hilarious[/p][p]-If you use an emote to lie on the ground, you can both jump and fish while lying down.[/p][p][/p][p]Thanks again for playing Cozy Beach!! 🏝😸[/p]
