50.000 Copies Sold + New Survivors Mode in progress!

We have reached 50.000 copies sold and this is allowing us to work on a new BIG update for Astro! ☕[/p][p]Besides the copies sold, you have helped us reach +1200 Overwhelmingly positive reviews. So thanks a lot for enjoying Astro Prospector that much, as we enjoy reading you & watching you play![/p][p][/p][p]So, the even better news... we're working on a new Survivors Mode for Astro Prospector! 🥳[/p][p]What will this mode include? Well, we are in the early stages of development, but it will be a roguelite-style mode where you have to finish a number of increasingly difficult waves and buy new upgrades between them. Think of super cool games like Brotato or Vampire Survivors![/p][p]Of course you will find there new upgrades & weapons, new enemies & bosses, and even new ship types. We hope this mode will add lots of hours to the base game, as we are focusing on replayability and creating unique builds each run. [/p][p]We want to release it around October, but can't confirm an exact date yet. And of course, this upgrade will be free for you all! 🚀[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Finally, we already are more than 500 Astro members on our Discord Server! Astro Prospector - Patch #1 Changelog

[p]Hey there, Space Rebels! 🫡[/p][p]We have released the first patch for Astro Prospector. This one is focused on some small balance tweaks & bugfixing, keeping the game challenging while accesible, and adding some QoL features, so your journey to obliterate SpaceCorp is smoother than ever! ✊[/p][p][/p][h3]Balance[/h3]
  • [p]All no hit achievement has become no life lost achievement. Due to the amount of enemies in last zone, we decided it was more fair for the players to use their shield and dodge upgrades in order to clear this achievement[/p]
  • [p]Reduce Sector 3 Zone 2 difficulty. Roots spawn less frequently, and stay alive for less time. Followers shooters (homing bullets) appear more distributed within the progress of the zone. We know this zone was one of the hardest one, and we want to keep the challenge but make it less frustrating[/p]
  • [p]More collection radius for both early game and late game. Slurp all those AstroCoffee seeds![/p]
  • [p]Bullets trails are more visible when bullet speed is reduced. In the last version, bullets trails disappeared when buying slow-down bullet speed upgrades, now trails are visible no matter what[/p]
  • [p]Some small reworking on Sector 3 & 4 visuals, so it should be cleaner and easier to read when there are a lot of things on screen[/p][p][/p]

  • [p]Support for up to 4K resolution[/p]
  • [p]Include upgrade tree zoom with Q/E in the upgrades screen[/p]
  • [p]Not collecting data for balancing anymore![/p]
  • [p]Include new setting for confining or not the cursor inside the screen[/p]
  • [p]Include new setting for preventing the game to run if it’s minimized/no focused[/p]
  • [p]Hide player UI when ship is in top-left corner[/p]
  • [p]Controls panel for Keyboard, Mouse and Controller[/p]
  • [p]End panel when completing the game, showing time to complete game, hits received and runs losing all lifes, with some small text lore message.[/p][p][/p]
[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • [p]Cursor is shown again when finishing the Credits screen with Lock mouse option enabled[/p]
  • [p]Heartbeat on 5-5 boss is stopped when going back to upgrades screen[/p]
  • [p]Don’t get randomly hit when destroying the Cofferoid in 5-5[/p]
  • [p]Check all achievements on game start, to unlock those that weren’t unlocked when it was supposed to[/p]
  • [p]Rebuild UI when changing language mid-game, so everything stays on place after the change[/p]
  • [p]Backup system for save files. In case any of your save files get corrupted, we’re automatically saving a backup to try to read the information from that file and recover your game![/p]

Thanks A LOT for your interest and for enjoying Astro Prospector that much ☕[/p][p][/p][p]We also want to let you know about Astro Prospector roadmap. It's focused on 2 big blocks![/p]
  1. [p]🐛 Quality of Life & Bugfixing: we will start working on a first patch focused on fixing all the glitchs and errors you have reported during this days. Also, we want to add some new settings, more resolutions support (2K & 4K) and improve some harsh edges of the game. You can expect this patch around the end of July![/p]
  2. [p]🤸‍♀️ New Game Modes: we have heard you and our priority after bugfixing will be including some new game modes for Astro Prospector. Maybe an endless mode? A roguelite mode? Boss rush? New Game+? There are lots of cool ideas that we want to implement, and will try to choose the best of them. Our idea is to let you enjoy the game all the time you want, so we will to focus on open-ended modes that allows for high replayability! You can expect this patch around September/October. In bullet hell mining game Astro Prospector the real enemy is sleep


I'm writing up Astro Prospector for a couple of reasons: firstly, it reminds me of two childhood favourites, Atari's Asteroids and the less-known Crystal Quest for the Macintosh. And secondly, there's something appealingly perverse about a bullet hell of all gametypes that is always simulating the player nodding off at the keyboard.
