Demo Update 0.1.19 – July Improvements and Behind-the-Scenes Progress

[p]Demo Update - 0.1.19[/p][p]Hello everyone! We've just released a new demo update with several improvements based on your feedback. Here’s what’s changed:[/p][p]Gameplay Updates[/p]
  • [p]Character selection now sticks – no need to re-pick your favorite after every level.[/p]
  • [p]Level adjustments on a1.3 and a1.4 – more room to move around, and it’s a bit harder to fall off the edge.[/p]
  • [p]Tweaked demo level settings – more time and fewer points required to earn stars.[/p]
[p]Interface & Visual Polish[/p]
  • [p]New body text font for easier reading.[/p]
  • [p]More consistent font sizes across the UI.[/p]
  • [p]Partially hidden recipes – undiscovered ones now only hide a few ingredients and the score. Only a small number are fully hidden.[/p]
  • [p]Tabs now have proper names in the Chronicles screen.[/p]
[p]Throwing & Feel[/p]
  • [p]Slower spinning when throwing objects – makes things feel more predictable and easier to follow.[/p]
[p]Other Fixes[/p]
  • [p]A round of general bug fixes and small polish improvements.[/p]
[p][/p][p]A quick progress update: While the demo levels remain the same for now, development is moving steadily! We’ve completed 15 levels and currently have 5 more in progress. Our goal is to ship 25 main levels - 5 per acts, plus 5 to 7 optional extras.[/p][p]Lastly, we’d love to invite you to join our Discord community! Dev Update – New Levels, Fresh UI, and a Sneak Peek at Multiplayer Chaos!

Hey everyone!

We've been hard at work behind the scenes, and it's time to share some juicy updates on The Artifactory! Things are really starting to take shape, and we’re beyond excited to show you what’s new.

Here’s what we’ve been up to:
Tutorial System
We’ve added a proper tutorial to help you get started! There are 3 tutorial levels now to ease you into the madness.
New Levels
  • 3 tutorial maps
  • 5 additional playable levels

The upcoming demo will feature 5 hand-picked levels to try!

Save System
You asked, we listened. Progress now saves!

Menus, Glorious Menus
We’ve reworked and added tons of UI screens:
  • Main Menu
  • Level Selector
  • Brand-new “Cookbook” screen
  • Lobby & End Game screens
  • Craftsmans Chronicles
  • Tutorial UI
  • And a refreshed in-game UI


Gameplay Improvements
  • We tweaked the core loop to feel smoother and snappier.
  • New Generator mechanic: if the generator runs out, conveyors stop—so keep that baby fueled!
  • Reworked how interactions work so it’s way clearer what’s going to happen when you press a button.


Performance Boosts
  • Optimized a bunch of systems so your gameplay stays buttery smooth.
  • Fixed a ton of bugs and cleaned up early code that just wasn’t cutting it anymore.


New Content
  • 4 new craftable items (made from existing materials)
  • 1 new workstation type: the Runestone Bench
  • 2 new playable characters + brand-new animations
  • Loads of fresh environment assets (models, textures, shaders, you name it)
  • New music and sounds to bring your factory to life
