2025-11-17 Update

  • New minimap can now be enabled from the gameplay settings. (note that position marker will only appear on the minimap once the compass is purchased)
  • Changed player position marker to black arrow.
  • Steering sensitivity can now be adjusted from the gameplay settings. this does not affect analog mode.
  • Fixed mouse shifting on Light truck
  • Vehicle throttle pedal animation should now react to hardware throttle pedal even if analog mode isn't enabled.
  • Vehicle should no longer accelerate while the clutch is pressed and it should not be possible to shift while the accelerator is pressed. (unless simple transmission is enabled). When using the keyboard or mouse to shift, there is a 0.5 seconds delay until the clutch is fully depressed. Keep this in mind when starting the car or shifting gears.
  • It should no longer be possible to initiate a solo drag race by rolling up to the starting line without speaking to Dave first.
  • Fixed issue that would prevent drag racing opponents from despawning after a race.
  • It should now be possible to adjust television volume with the "effects" slider.
  • Fixed an issue where a vehicle's engine would keep smoking after repairs until the engine was started again if the car was repaired while the engine is on.
  • Fixed Kaminari player vehicle glass.
  • It should now be possible to scroll down the work journal with the gamepad right thumbstick
  • It should now be possible to zoom and move the map with the gamepad while driving
  • It shoud now be possible to close the map and work journal with ESC or B.
  • Adjusted center of mass on Straight trucks.
  • Fixed terrain along Quarry Hill Road.
  • Anglian Logistics delivery waypoint should no longer refer to aggregates.

  • Fixed issue that could cause taxi passenger from spawning with negative X scale.
  • Fixed issue where player vehicle could collide with trash in the Patty Queen parking lot, causing an accident.

BIG DEMO UPDATE 🙌

Hey Drivers!

We’ve just dropped a new update for the Driving Life Demo – packed with improvements, fixes, and cool new systems. All based on your amazing feedback! 🙌
Here’s what’s new:

Vehicle Damage system;
  • Vehicles will now take damage when crashing above 20MPH and such crash will no longer result in instant gameover.
  • Vehicle UI now features a damage meter and the vehicle will gradually emit smoke as, damage rises.
  • Too much damage will total the car, which will then need to be towed.
  • There will be repair shops in the full version of the game, but for now towing also repairs the car.


Re-imagined dialogue system;
  • New dialogue system allows for skipping and closing dialogue.
  • NPC Speech now part of the UI and no longer based on bubbles above the NPC heads.


Job system revamp;
  • Job giver NPC might now call player as soon as card is given. (NPC used to call on the next day after card was given)
  • Objective tracking system with detailed instructions for each step.
  • Jobs now always begin and end by talking to the job giver NPC.
  • Addition of grabbing system : certain jobs now require you to manipulate objects and actually transport them in vehicles.
  • Tourist Transport, Flatbed Delivery and Restaurant Delivery jobs reworked and featuring new objectives.
  • New post office job, find Lisa in Samuelton to apply.


Improvements to navigation;
  • new signs placed on the side of the road indicate the direction to towns.
  • street name signs and directions signs now visible from further away and in a more consistent radius.


Changes to settings;
  • Steering wheel mapping should now be more straightforward and should now save. (still no support for combined pedals, sorry)
  • "Window" settings should now reflect actual setting and should now save.
  • Improved readability of driving tips and driver UI.


This is in addition to the following improvements made since the release of the Demo;
  • Simple Transmission mode (no clutch + semi-automatic shifting)
  • Invert camera options (in the gameplay section of the settings screen)
  • Camera sensitivity options (in the gameplay section of the settings screen)
  • FSR 3.1 can now be enabled. (in the video section of the settings screen)
  • Fully customizable controls (Keyboard and gamepad rebind screens in the controls section of the settings screen)
  • Mouse shifting (Can control the gear shift lever directly with the mouse or thumbstick)
