From speed-running challenges to the best fan videos, and the funniest Steam reviews – we read and watch all of them and can’t wait to see what you have planned next.  [/p][p][/p][h2]Quelling the Confusion [/h2][p]However, recently we’ve noticed a bit of confusion in our reviews around Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun not being the game they expected and that’s because they were playing this game. [/p][p]In case you’re new here, we have another game called Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, where you battle against the Chaos Space Marines and Daemons using the devastating arsenal of a Space Marine.  [/p][p]It’s a boomer shooter in a retro style and is essentially the Warhammer 40,000 shooter we wish existed in the 90’s.  [/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]We also have a sequel for Boltgun coming out next year, which will have a wider range of weapons, new environments, new enemies, and if you enjoyed the original Boltgun or this creative spin off we’d love for you to wishlist that game!  [/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]But Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun – Words of Vengeance, the game you’re looking at right now, is not Boltgun.  [/p][p]Instead of slaying heretics with your quick reaction time (although that still plays a role) and precision (ditto), you’re vanquishing foes with the speed of your Words per Minute (WPM). • [p]Getting over 100 WPM on the same playthrough now grants both Red Things Go Faster and Faster than Lucius The Eternal achievements. [/p]
• [p]Fixed a bug that prevented High Gothic achievement from popping. [/p]

[p]In today’s update, we’ve added 8 achievements to Warhammer 40,000 Boltgun – Words of Vengeance and they won’t be easy.  [/p][p]You’ll need to read and type faster than ever before to complete them all and prove your commitment to the Emperor!   [/p][p]Find the full list of achievements below:  [/p]

• [p]Words for the Word God!: Complete Sanctum Magistratum on any difficulty.[/p]
• [p]Company Captain: Complete Sanctum Magistratum on Exterminatus difficulty with Invulnerability off.[/p]
• [p]On the Golden Throne: Achieve grade S+ on ANY difficulty or level with invulnerability off.[/p]
• [p]Red Things Go Faster: Achieve a Words Per Minute score of 80+ on any level.[/p]
• [p]Faster than Lucius The Eternal: Achieve a Words Per Minute score of 100+ on any level.[/p]
• [p]Search for Perfection: Perfect kill the Helbrute in Sector Imperialis.[/p]
• [p]High Gothic: Type a phrase 21 characters long without errors.[/p]
• [p]A Waste of Good Promethium: Kill all enemies in a wave, then shoot the barrel.[/p]

[p]Hello, Space Marines!  [/p][p]A few weeks ago, we launched Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun – Words of Vengeance during the Warhammer Skulls Showcase and since then, the response has been nothing short of phenomenal.  [/p][p]So many people have played the game, shared reviews, and some of you have also reported bugs that you’ve encountered while playing.  [/p][p]Well today, we’ve squashed some of those bugs to make Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun – Words of Vengeance a smoother, more enjoyable experience. [/p][p] [/p][h2]Patch Notes [/h2][p]Please find the patch notes below:  [/p]

• [p]Fixed a crash which would cause during the Sector Imperialis boss fight.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where the game would open Steam VR.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue which would cause unavoidable damage from a Blue Horror.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where typing would be disabled during the boss fight on Sector Imperialis.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue which would cause the game menus to appear in unsupported languages.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue with enemy spawning on slow frame rates.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where enemies would be too close to player and made improvements on slow frame rates.[/p]
• [p]Updated game credits.[/p]
• [p]Updated movement and events to cater to slower frame rates.[/p]

We've been overwhelmed by the incredible reception for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun - Words of Vengeance. We thought we were creating a fun little side project, and it quickly became so much more than that with over 100,000 players within the first week!

Between all the positive feedback, we have also heard your requests for bug fixes!

We’re pleased to let you know that we’re working on a patch focused on some of the recurring bugs we’ve seen reported by community members, but we need your help to identify the cause.

If you’ve experienced the following issues, we would appreciate you sharing your computer specs, the levels you encountered them on, and what you were doing immediately before the bug was triggered:

• The game not recognising your keyboard.
  
• The game starts in another language.
  
• Walking past enemies and soft locking the game.
  

This will really help our team to work out what’s causing them. Additionally, any video footage you can share of the incidents is super helpful! Please send your bug reports to [email protected]!

If you’ve encountered other bugs that aren’t listed above, please email us about them too and we’ll look into them!
