Demo Update – Seduction Attacks, Projectile Parry System & New Technique!

[p]The new Twiwood Tales demo update is live!

This is the biggest content refresh so far. With new combat mechanics and the first glimpse at enemies fighting back in truly tempting ways.
[/p]
What’s New
[p]
Parry & Reflect Technique

You can now deflect enemy projectiles back at them with precise timing!
It’s fast, satisfying, and adds a whole new rhythm to combat.[/p][p]
Seduction Attacks (Enemy Techniques)

Doe and Ivy have learned a few seductive moves of their own.
They can now use special attacks to "drain" you mid-battle. But if you resist and overpower them, you’ll get to see them in a far more... vulnerable state.[/p][p]
New Player Technique – Suctus Mammarum
[/p][p]A close-range technique that lets you absorb vitality straight from your opponent...[/p][p][/p][p]Stability & Corruption Fixes[/p][p]We also tackled a few major Unreal Engine corruption issues that had been haunting our project behind the scenes. After some careful rebuilding and long nights, the systems are now running far smoother and much more reliably. This means fewer random errors, faster load times, and a more stable experience overall, both for development and for players.[/p][p][/p][p]
If you’ve played the demo before, now’s the perfect time to return. The battles just got a lot more interesting.[/p][p]Thanks for all your feedback and support. It’s shaping Twiwood Tales into something special![/p]

September Update 1 - Bug Fixes and QoL

[p][/p][p][/p]
🔧 Demo Fixes & Improvements
• [p]Store/Inventory: selection frame now stays visible when buying, selling, or using items.[/p]
 • [p]Ivy clones: no longer give scaling rewards (no more 12+ million Dust per battle!).[/p]
 • [p]Poison spell: description updated to show it deals 10–15% of current HP per tick.[/p]
 • [p]Coins: can now be sold in the store, with a small supply always available.[/p]
 • [p]Equipped items: no more accidental selling of equipped items if you own duplicates.[/p]
 • [p]Damage Nullify skill: now has a clear visual effect when it triggers.[/p]
[p][/p][p][/p]
Full Game Progress
[p][/p]
 • [p]Boss battles for the second and third maps have been set up in prototype form. The game can now be played through to the final boss, though there’s still lots of work left to do.[/p]
 • [p]Progress made on a new enemy, our mysterious bat girl. She’ll spread her wings, claw, and drain you if you’re not careful. For now, we’re calling her Batsy, but we’d love to hear your name suggestions.[/p]

Demo Update – Balance, QoL & Sneak Peek at Full Game Progress
We’ve rolled out a new demo update based on your feedback! This one focuses on smoothing out rough edges, improving pacing, and toning down some over-tuned mechanics.

⚔️ Balance Changes
[p][/p][p]Ivy + Doe combo[/p]
 • [p]No more Ivy + Doe right at the start. Early fights will be gentler, giving you time to gather Dust and learn the ropes.[/p]
 • [p]Doe: HP reduced by ~15%, healing power reduced by 30%.[/p]
 • [p]Ivy: Clones are now weaker (about 50% of Ivy’s strength), with a distinct name and color.[/p]
[p]Luck scaling[/p]
 • [p]Luck was too strong and felt mandatory.[/p]
 • [p]Effect reduced by 25%, but enemy rewards increased by 25% to keep progression steady.[/p]
[p]Enemy boost after boss[/p]
 • [p]The old system doubled enemy stats after the demo boss, which felt like scaling.[/p]
 • [p]This boost has been removed. Enemies now stay consistent throughout the demo.[/p]

🎲 QoL & Gameplay Flow
[p]
Foxy’s Wheel
[/p]
 • [p]Spin duration reduced by 30% (still suspenseful, but less waiting).[/p]
 • [p]Ambush results now return you directly to Foxy, skipping the node map detour.[/p]
[p]First Mimic chest[/p]
 • [p]The very first chest is now always safe. Later chests can still be Mimics, because that false sense of safety is part of the fun. Start New Game to avoid inconsistencies.[/p]
[p]Ivy’s pace[/p]
 • [p]Her movement speed has been doubled to reduce the sluggish feel of her walk cycle.[/p]
[p]Sound settings[/p]
 • [p]Volume controls added to both the starting screen and active scene.[/p]
 • [p]Fine-tuning of individual sounds is still underway, but now you have general control everywhere.[/p]

[p][/p]
🔮 Full Game Progress Sneak Peek
[p]
While polishing the demo, we’ve also advanced work on the full release:[/p]
 • [p]Map transitions: after a boss, you’ll move into new maps with fresh enemies, events, challenges, story beats, and bosses.[/p]
 • [p]Hard battle nodes: the shield icon will mark special high-difficulty encounters with bigger rewards.[/p]

🛠️ Minor Fixes
• [p]Pause menu no longer overlaps with options (no more accidental “Quit to Desktop”).[/p]
 • [p]Victory screen now auto-focuses and can be skipped with a single click.[/p]
 • [p]Fair Trade event bug fixed (trading 0 MP no longer leaves you at 1 MP).[/p]
 • [p]Skip rewards screen can be triggered even quicker.[/p]
 • [p]Death screen duration reduced[/p]

[p]
Thank you all for the continued feedback, it’s helping us shape Twiwood Tales into something better with every update. Keep sharing your thoughts, and we’ll keep listening![/p]

Demo Patch, Ivy’s New Style & Interface Updates

[p]
[/p][p] It seems the Twiwood Forest was a little too hot for Ivy’s previous outfit, so she’s back with a fresh new look!
