Ambrosia Sky: Act One News

The first act of Ambrosia Sky, an im-sim where you clean up fungi on a dead asteroid colony, is out now

I don't particularly like trends in genres all that much. They're much too relied upon, and don't really tell me much about a game outright. Even still, I do like to think about why a particular genre might be trending. More than that, I love a twist on a trending genre that actually seeks to reckon with said genre. Like, say, Ambrosia Sky, one of those cleaning sorts of games except instead of muck or leaves, you're cleaning up a cosmic contamination on a dead asteroid colony. And its first act is out today!

Ambrosia Sky – Part One (PC) Review

I don’t think I fully knew what Ambrosia Sky was when I first saw it, but I was certainly intrigued by the idea of it. Initial trailers made it seem like PowerWash Simulator, but in space, and that was certainly a concept I could get behind. But when it started throwing words like “narrative” and “Immersive Sim” around, then I knew for sure I had to give it a look.

However, Ambrosia is certainly not the word I would use to describe this sky—and I might go so far as to say it’s a case of false advertising. What’s on offer is a fairly dreary game that does little with its setting or mechanics, and the more I played, the more I felt myself drifting into the abyss of sleep.

Ambrosia Sky is set within a large space colony located within the rings of Saturn. After fleeing a dying Earth, scientists set up an agricultural facility in hopes of finding ways to sustain life in the far reaches of space. However, the facility was hit with a strange fungal phenomenon referred to... Read more

Ambrosia Sky: A Canadian Title To Keep Your Eyes On

Ambrosia Sky was one of the more unique titles we saw at Summer Game Fest 2025, and with a recent story trailer released, we can start to put together some of the pieces of the game. Part disaster-clean-up, part survivor’s guilt, this title from Soft Rains looks like it will bring both a deep story and stunning art style to the table.

Today, Ambrosia Sky officially announced the game’s release date. The game will follow a three-part, episodic release, releasing Act 1 on November 10, 2025. To celebrate, we wanted to learn more about the game, the trailer, and why we should keep our eyes on Ambrosia Sky. The game is made by Canadian studio Soft Rains, based out of Toronto, in partnership with BC studio Blackbird Interactive, so plenty of Canadian talent has had their hands in bringing the game to life. CGM was able to sit down with Art Director Adam Volker and Narrative Director Kaitlin Tremblay to discuss the deep story and beautiful design behind Ambrosia Sky.
