This is just a quick video showing the new main menu UI, and options menu UI working.

I still have some work to do with the controller mapping, and am using the native unreal controller re mapping system, which is still experimental, so it's kinda crappy to blueprint to be honest.

Otherwise I am now starting work on setting up dedicated servers, running a test server to make sure it's all working and going well testing outside of just using my own computer, and I'll be close to having this at a pretty well playable state, besides making a lot of the UI look better, and adding sound to the game.

About 90 % done!

What is the state of the project now? It has been a bit since the last update, and just wanted to update on the progress.

I am about 90 % done with everything for the first release. I just finished up the in game menus, except for fixing a couple of things with controller remapping. Currently working on setting up and hosting a dedicated server to test on, and once that is all done the project is done, and will be ready to play.

Hopefully will be all the way finished in about a month.

Progress is going well, and just wanted to give you guys another update.

The player is now able to die, and be looted on death, as well as the player is able to either respawn at a respawn point, or they can respawn at a bed of their own if one is set out as well as being able to spawn at a bed owned by a tribe member.

Just a little bit of gameplay from the new Age of Survival 2024 build I have been working on.

It is fully multiplayer, but I only have one PC, so this is just running with one player.

Age of Survival 2024 development updates : Basic AI is finished, and ai zones

The basic animal AI is finished, passive and aggressive behavior. It is a very basic ai, and of course some polishing needs to be done such as hit animations, sounds, hearding behavior.... For basic animals and testing this works great.

Also you can see how the spawning zones are set up, this is just a small one (the big cube with the dragon icon in it) for testing. The player walks inside of the zone, and animals are spawned randomly in location, as well as the number of animals spawned. The player can walk outside of the zone, and a timer will start for de spawning the animals. So if players are not around in the zone, animals, etc will be de spawned.

This is a great feature to save on performance.


Also, funny things happen when testing AI..... The wildebeest happened to run in between the player, and the rhino, so the rhino ended up killing both the wildebeest, and the player. Pretty silly stuff.
