[p][/p][p]Hey Anglers, [/p][p][/p][p]We’ve released a new Hotfix Patch to address crashes and freezes some of you experienced after the Maldives Update. More fixes are on the way in the coming days, but here’s what’s included in this patch: [/p]
 1. [p]Fixed a temporary freeze on the loading screen when an “app not responding” error appeared,[/p]
 2. [p]Resolved an issue where the game would become unresponsive when switching categories in the Menu or Inventory,[/p]
 3. [p]Fixed a crash/freeze when Global Chat was open while on a waterway,[/p]
 4. [p]Additional improvements to overall game stability and performance,[/p]
[p]We hope this patch helps improve your gameplay experience. Please try playing and let us know if these fixes work for you—we really look forward to your feedback. We're also actively investigating a critical issue with black screens appearing when entering Photo Mode. [/p][p]If this happens to you, here’s how you can help: [/p]
 1. [p]After the issue occurs, close the game.,[/p]
 2. [p]Go to the Fishing Planet folder that can be found here: log%USERPROFILE%\\AppData\\LocalLow\\Fishing Planet LLC\\FishingPlanet and find the two Player log files.[/p]

Post-Release Fixes and Compensation

[p][/p][p]Hey Anglers,[/p][p]Here’s a quick update on the post-release fixes.[/p][p]We’re aware of some crash and freezing issues and are actively working on fixes. A new update is rolling out at this very moment to improve game stability. To avoid interruptions in your game play, we’re updating servers one by one, as many players are online. A few more updates will follow in the coming days, and we’ll keep you posted.[/p][p]While it might seem like everyone is reporting issues, our data shows that most players are playing smoothly. Still, every affected player matters to us. The crashes vary in cause, and limited diagnostic info from users makes it harder to resolve quickly—but we’re on it.[/p][p]We’re also considering compensation options for those who made in-game purchases during this period. First, we want to make sure the game is fully stable—then we’ll take care of compensation. Rest assured that your experience and satisfaction are our top priority. We’ll share details about compensation after the fixes are in place.[/p][p]Regarding another reported issue—reeling in big fish (500+ kg) on the new map—some of you noticed that they get stuck in the last few meters. Our investigation showed that this isn’t a bug but a physics-based interaction. To land the fish, use a wider pull & reel motion, lifting the rod higher—just like you would in real life when pulling a very big fish onto the boat. That triggers the gaff animation and gets the fish onboard.[/p][p]Thanks again for your patience and support. We’re working hard to make sure you can enjoy the game without disruptions—and we truly appreciate the trust you place in us. [/p][p]Tight lines![/p][p][/p]

Bug Fix Patch Note - Version 5.014

[p][/p]
Dear Anglers,
[p]Last night we urgently released a hot fix patch to address some of the most common issues that occurred after the Maldives Update. [/p]
Here is what’s new:
1. [p]Resolved an issue of players not being able to take out their rod or rod stands on the waterways[/p]
 2. [p]Fixed an issue when players didn’t get strikes when trying to complete the tutorial[/p]
 3. [p]Fixed an issue of balancing the amount of environmental objects appearing at the location depending on the player’s video settings[/p]
 4. [p]Resolved a bug when some words on the buttons appeared in other languages[/p]
 5. [p]Fixed an issue with Chamaeleon Cruiser Pack appearing incorrectly in the Store in Polish localization[/p]
 6. [p]Fixed an issue when some players couldn’t enter the game[/p]
Known Issues
[p]We also received reports about other issues that some of you experienced and we want to keep you in the loop about them:[/p][p][/p]
 1. [p]We know many of you experience freezes when entering the menu or trying to move items in the Inventory. The root cause of the issue was found - and it appears to be quite complex and needs a few technical updates on our side. We already started doing them, but it will still require a few days to complete this process. We are doing everything possible (and some impossible things) to fasten it.[/p]
 2. [p]The issue with the black screen when entering photo mode unfortunately returned - and it has another cause than it had before - it’s being actively investigated and we hope it will be fixed within the next few days.[/p]
 3. [p]We also know that some players had issues when catching big fish (over 500kg) and on the last 2-3 meters the gaff animation doesn’t get triggered. This is being addressed as well.[/p]
 4. [p]Some of you are getting an error when trying to enter the game. We found that it helped some players to update their OS to the latest version and re-install the game. If you are experiencing something similar, please try these steps and if it doesn’t resolve the issue, contact [email protected].[/p]
 5. [p]We are also investigating the nature of other crashes or freezes not related to entering the menu and inventory, thanks to everyone who reported the issues and helped our investigation.[/p]
[p][/p][p]If you are experiencing any of the issues listed above, please just wait for the fix that is on its way. No need to report them again, we already have enough information to prepare the fixes.[/p][p][/p][p]We also get many-many questions about when the Maldives map will be released on consoles and mobile platforms. Believe us, there is nothing in the world that we want more right now than to release it for all the platforms as soon as possible. But first, we need to stabilize the Steam and Epic Games versions with a few more hotfixes. Once that’s done, we’ll focus on getting the update to all other platforms. Thanks so much for your patience.[/p][p][/p]
Server Reboot
[p]Last, but not least, we want to inform you that tomorrow, June 20 at 5:05 AM UTC there will be a server reboot with an estimated downtime of 10 minutes. This is one of the things we need to do to stabilize the system after the release.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for your incredible patience, understanding, and all the fast bug reports. We truly hope you’re still enjoying your time in the Maldives — more improvements are on the way![/p][p][/p][p]Tight lines![/p]

This method draws in predatory fish from all depths — from the bottom to the midwater layers — provoking strikes through sudden lure movements.[/p][p][/p][p]Vertical jigging is a precise and effective way to fish, offering anglers the chance to engage fish directly below the boat in deep or open waters. To help you master the technique, the game tracks your retrievals in real-time, so you’ll know exactly when you’re doing it right.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
New Saltwater Items
[p]Experiment with the new saltwater gear that is now available in the In-game Store.
